Was in town for a business meeting and We happened to be right down the road from here. So glad we came By. Peter G was our server and he crushed it. I ordered the 1 lb crab cake along with the crab bisque and it was amazing Parking was easy. The menu is robust and I can't wait to come back.... Delicious food here!

We had a great experience at Jimmys. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon. Server was polite and cordial. Orange & Grapefruit Crush. Seafood nachos were ! Maryland Crab Soup was a little too peppery Red Snapper and Crabcake were our entrees. Overall, Jimmy's reputation is well deserved!

Went to Jimmy's during the lunch hours for the first time, service was quick and the food was very good! I ordered the crabby chicken sandwich buffalo style. For lunch time, it was still pretty busy but our party of 7 was well taken care of.

My daughter gave me a dinner recommendation while I was traveling out of town so I decided to take it. I had previously planned on going to Jimmy's but the plans changed. This time it was just me so I made sure that I was going. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Since it was my first time eating there, they made sure to provide me with suggestions on what to get. Benjamin, my server, did not steer me wrong. I ordered the Old Bay garlic butter aged steak. Without a doubt, this was one of the best steaks that I have ever eaten. They served it as the perfect temperature as I requested. It was moist and juicy. The steak was very flavorful and tender. I could not have asked for a better meal. The dining room was buzzing with people having a great time and enjoying great food. I cannot wait to return again!

If you're looking for a place that delivers on every level--food, drinks, atmosphere, and service--Jimmy's Famous Seafood absolutely knocked it out of the park for us. My sister and childhood friend were visiting from Texas and Florida, so we wanted somewhere memorable--and this was it. We started with cocktails: a perfectly balanced Lemontini, a bold and flavorful Bloody Mary, and an Espresso Martini that was smooth with just the right kick. Every drink hit. Then came the food... and yes, we went all in. Crab Dip, Crab Eggrolls, raw oysters, chicken wings, Crab Mac & Cheese, and stuffed shrimp with baked mashed potatoes. Not a single miss. Everything was fresh, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous--we happily left with plenty for midnight snacks. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Our waitress was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. Then Greer stopped by to check on us and even offered a tour of the restaurant, which was such a thoughtful touch. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do--the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the kitchen was spotless. From start to finish, this was more than just a meal--it was an experience. Between the amazing food, top-tier service, and the fun, lively atmosphere (with the added bonus of potential celebrity sightings), this spot is a must-visit. And if you're not local? No problem. Their frozen food options are packaged exceptionally well for delivery, and their food trucks bring the same quality on the road--I follow them since I live a couple hours away! Bottom line: if you haven't been to Jimmy's yet, you're missing out. We'll absolutely be back.

Where to start. The food is amazing. Started with sushi and a bowl of half & half. Both were amazing. Had the crabcake Reuben then a single crabcake meal. Both were awesome. We sat at the bar and had great service. The feel of the place is what really makes this place special. You can tell there are a ton of regulars and everyone seems to know each other. Definitely a place you would be at all the time if local and a must go to if in from out of town. Very well done.

My 1st time in Baltimore I had to try the seafood. A friend, who joined us, recommended Jimmy's. He had been here several times and liked it. He has not stirred me wrong yet. We were a party of 5 showing up with a reservation. I could see one was not really needed. The decor, ambiance and vibe was hitting us in a very good way. The service was excellent. Everything brought out in a timely manner. We were checked on enough but not overtly excessive. I started with an old fashion. Decent, good enough to satisfy my craving and wet my whistle. We were looking for something exceptional and I believe we found it. All were in agreement to share the Seafood Tower. Crab Cake Egg Rolls, Mini Lobster Tails, Jumbo Calamari, Tequila Lime Shrimp, Jackpot (Clams Casino and Oysters Rockefeller), Grilled Octopus, Mussels Nirvana, and Famous Crab Dip. It was all so so delicious. Though the portions may look small it was more than enough to satisfy our fill. And well worth the price. I was also told you could order this nation wide. Give them a buzz to place your order. Growing up in the East Coast the thing I missed the most was blue crab. I ordered some excited to have satiated by craving. I was surprised how small they were and very salty. This would not do. In fact, I couldn't eat it. I ended up taking it back and making fried rice out of it. Being that small there wasn't much to pull off of it. Live and learn. My wife wanted mac and cheese. I'm not a fan but that was really good. Didn't feel like I was choking on cheese and it was good quality cheese. All in all it was a good experience and would come back again.

Back again and everything was exceptional- from the food to the service to the ambience on opening day for the Baltimore Orioles game. What more could you have asked for?

I took my family to Jimmy's last weekend and it was so great! We went upstairs and are there...the vibes were good, good music and nice staff. My only complaint is my seating we sat at a tall table and it was a little tight especially with two kids. But that's it! So the staff was great! I noticed that every server who walks past stops and checks in at the table so we felt very seen and that everything we wanted was addressed. We appreciated the courtesy. Our server Nikki was super friendly and made great selections. Ok so for food, we listen and we don't judge ok! My daughters had the Poboy with all the options for protein. My other daughter had the kids shrimp (which could full feed and satisfy an adult). Hubby and I decided to share apps we had: -crab cake egg roll (the slaw was amazing) -drunken crab bites -chicken and crab taquitos -garlic parm / lemon pepper wings -mozzarella sticks -boom boom shrimp but not the coconut one the other sauce -oysters -oyster Rockefeller -Derrick Henry roll - seafood burrito to go And i can say without a doubt we loved absolutely everything! We had full meals to go! And we will def be back. Everything was flavorful, sauced down so well, seasoned and cooked to perfection! The manager Gurvir even showed us around with a tour! Safe to say we will be returning and bringing everyone we know.

The thing that has brought me to Jimmy's is the Taylor Swift brunch parties. The first one was meh. The staff weren't very attentive (they were probably also overwhelmed), there wasn't any decor, and the food was underwhelming. And there was the manager/owner/whatever really pressuring folks to write positive Google reviews. The second one I attended (for The Life of a Showgirl release) was immensely better! There was decor, super cute placemats, etc. And the staff was more friendly, attentive, and engaging. Even the food was better. The upstairs bar area is smaller than I was expecting. But it's a nice space with a large square bar, plenty of TVs, and even a patio area. I'd be interested to sample the dinner menu and try more of the non-brunch options. So hopefully I'll find myself in Baltimore sometime where I can do that.

We stopped in to get our tailgoat passes and enjoyed a quick bite- their crab cake eggrolls are amazing. The pasta was nicely prepared and good. They have a huge menu but are known for their seafood and it's a great spot for a crab cake! Upstairs they have a large bar and seating and downstairs they have the larger area and another bar. Service is always really nice!

    Jon L.

I got got by the Tailgoat. I didn't read closely so I showed up at the tailgoat yesterday sans ticket. Then I was told I could buy one by the door lady and didn't know it was like $85 with taxes. It's ayce and drink but the food was pretty gross and the beer selection was meh. It might be their gimmick idk I'm not local but the band was berating people for being on their phones and not having enough fun. The give aways were pretty wack Avoid the tailgoat

Raw Bar Sampler Maryland Crab Soup Calamari
    Becky K.

Was apprehensive since this place is SO infamous and I wasn't sure the place would live up to the hype. I have to say, I was impressed! The inside is much nicer than it looks from the outside. Very bright and spacious. We tried the crab dip (sorry - we destroyed it pretty quick so no photo) which came with a thick garlic toast. Yummm. My husband had the chicken Chesapeake with green beans. He was very happy. Said it was great portion and delicious. He also took down two of their Cinder & Smoke old fashioneds. I wasn't hungry enough for a full dinner so got a cup of Maryland crab soup, a raw bar sampler (a deal at $15!!) and some calamari (which was more then expected). Everything was delicious!! Can't wait to go back.

Ask the Community - Jimmy's Famous Seafood

Are you guys open Xmas day this year? Found you on a list of places that may be open.

Yes, we are. We are open 365 days a year, including all major holidays

Is there a food menu available in the bar area (after the dining room closes)?

Absolutely. We stop seating in the main dining room 9 pm. However, the kitchen remains open to serve the bar area until 11 or 12 pm depending upon the day.

    Are reservations mandatory?

Reservations are not mandatory, but strongly suggested.

    Is there a dress code?

No, no dress code at the bar for sure. Shirts and shoes probably required. :) I would think the entire restaurant is come as you are, being a casual, crab restaurant (messy) as well.

Do they have bottomless brunches on the weekends?

    Yes until 2:00

    Is there parking on site?

    They do have parking.

Do they serve from their entire menu on Sundays, or only the brunch menu?

    I don't know

Do they still do a weekend happy hour?

    Yes on Saturday 2pm- 5pm

We ordered the small raw seafood tower, the steamed seafood platter, and the lobster pasta from the large plates section. We are a family of four with a pretty big appetite, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food for us. Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. The raw tower came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish, and lemon slices, and the steamed platter was served with melted butter and nicely seasoned spices. There was also hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning on the table so you could customize everything to your taste. Once the seafood arrived we got fully busy with our hands and all the tools provided, which honestly made the whole experience even more fun. I genuinely cannot pick a favorite because we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. I also tried the Orange Crush, which I learned is a Maryland vodka drink made with freshly crushed fruit juice. That drink was dangerous because it tasted just like orange juice, but the vodka definitely sneaks up on you. Since we were celebrating, dessert was on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cast iron baked cookie with salted caramel ice cream and it was the perfect ending to the meal.
