There's also cornhole to play, and if you're feeling adventurous, there are nearby kayak rentals (not affiliated with the restaurant), making it a fun place to spend a few hours. We didn't order any food this time, just drinks. I had the Strawberry Moscow Mule, and we also ordered an Old Fashioned. Both were good and easy to drink, but neither really stood out or wowed us. They were enjoyable, just not especially memorable. Our bartender, Al, was such a sweetheart! She was friendly, attentive, and had the cutest, most distinctive laugh that made the experience even more enjoyable. Great service can really make a difference, and she definitely did. Overall, this is a great spot to grab a drink, take in the waterfront views, and enjoy a laid-back atmosphere. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping by. Then 1st staff member didn't acknowledge our presence for several minutes but when he did he asked if we talked to a host before getting sat. No water service for several minutes. Then another staff member finally brought us water, but no other offering to order. We had to hail down a manager in order to get our drinks ordered. We have yet to see our actual server still. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks even though several staff were just standing around doing nothing near the bar. Some staff were drinking soda meantime. Still the manager had to then take our entree order. But the manager could not write down the order, which I grew less confident she'd remember our entire modified order in detail. Which could prove why there was a mistake when one of the entrees came out incorrectly. Then when we needed one of the entrees boxed to go, they brought a to go box that clearly had the Clyde's Restauraunt Group logo on the box. I was extremely surprised to see that this Tavern is supposedly ran by Clyde's. Because of the extremely poor service and obvious lack of properly training staff I was astonished that Clyde's would be the overseers! Every other CRG restaurant anywhere in the DMV always had professional attentive service. Not here! When CRG signed a long term lease with Under Armour owner regarding this location, there must have been an extreme lack of focus on training staff properly! The servers there must have not gone through the weeks and weeks of rigorous training like other Clyde's owned locations do. I never ever take the time to write a review unless it's extremely poor service!
