Last night, we were having a generally fun time at this bar. Unfortunately, our time was cut short when the bartender assaulted my friend for rolling his eyes. Despite being immediately apologetic for apparently making an unpleasant face, the bartender screamed at him and got in his face. We observed many of the employees drinking on the job, so perhaps the flowing alcohol was part of what led to this. When we left, we asked the employee at the front who the manager was, and he told us that the bartender who berated my friend was the manager on shift. It's unfortunate that this location treats its patrons like dogs because we were enjoying ourselves, but we definitely won't return. read more

I really can't believe this place doesn't have more stars! It is nothing fancy but it is a gem!!! My husband and I vacationed in Dewey for the first time ever and we made three stops there over our weekend getaway. Night time atmosphere is super chill and they had a great band playing. Orange Crushes were on point and fresh cut french fries are a must. During the day we stopped over for lunch and I was shocked at just how delicious their Crab Cakes were. They were not lumb crab, however, there was very little filler and they were so, so flavorful. There indoor/outdoor seating vibe is great for grabbing lunch off the beach or a more relaxing but fun night out. read more

For bars in Dewey, this is one of the better ones. My friend and I ordered the watermelon cocktail, which was a tad too strong. We also ordered fries which were great. The waitress didn't seem to mind that we were taking up a table for a while with just drinks and fries. If you are looking for a more relaxed (as opposed to Starboard) location to kill a few hours, this is your place. read more

Sorry for the not great review. Gave you two stars because I love your rolls and club sandwiches. We moved here 2 years ago and used to eat at Bridgeville restaurant for nearly 20 years on our trips back and forth from VA to Lewes. So happy when they opened in Rehoboth but I guess they didn't share their recipes. Even fried chicken isn't as good and I'll NEVER order a crab cake there again. I'm sorry the Bridgeville restaurant closed, but maybe you can find their recipes. We had company and I ordered for 15 people fried chicken, chicken salad, collards. The collards were full of sand, we had to throw them out. Don't you wash the collards before you cook? Never had that happen in Bridgeville and we'd order food to bring to beach from there all the time. Chicken was very greasy, but chicken salad was good, thankfully. Just because you are in a "high traffic" area when the shore restaurants are busy, quality should not be put on the back burner. read more

We stopped by here for dinner and drinks before heading out for the night in Dewey. We were staying at a hotel down the street and were very pleasantly surprised by the food and service at Jimmy's. Located on the Dewey's main strip, this spot is great for people watching. You feel like you're seated in a gazebo because it's open all around, which is ideal in the summertime. The music is great, the servers are friendly (one even gave us free shots because he was turning 22... bless his young heart), and the crab cake sandwich was yummy. read more

We saw there was live music here so we decided to head there for a few drinks. Live music was really great and catered, but that's it. The manager was extremely rude to two people in our party, the bar tending staff was drinking together during work hours (taking shots), and they were ignoring their customers. The most upsetting part of the evening was when we saw the security staff walk an over served gentleman outside the bar, then left him there alone. He looked as though he was passed out underneath their sign. When I asked the bouncer if an EMT was called for the man (because he wasn't responding to anyone around him trying to make sure he was still breathing/not going to get sick and choke) the bouncer shrugged his shoulders and turned his back to us. The off duty EMT and nurse in our party ended up making sure the man was okay before getting out of that establishment as soon as we could. read more

This place is really fun and summery. I don't get the complaints about the mac n cheese, it's awesome. I don't eat meat but everyone I know who's ever eaten here says the chicken is amazing. The crabcakes aren't lump, that's true but they're nowhere near as expensive as lump either and they're pretty damn tasty. If you're young and like to have fun, listen to music, eat "vacation food," you'll love it. Went with a group of friends for some drinks. We all ordered one of their crushes. We had the watermelon, Mango, cherry lemonade, Creamsicle, and Ruby red. They make them all with fresh squeezed juice - none of that sugary fake stuff. While they are $7.50 per drink, it was the best drink I had in Dewey. We won't be trying this anytime soon. The recorded message said they were too busy to take carry out orders so my husband drove up there to place our order, only to be told they were not even set up for carry out yet. A good business person would have then called the Dewey beach location and placed our order for us , having it ready by the time we got down there to pick it up. Alas a missed opportunity. Went to Jimmy's for their souther fried chicken. I got the two piece (white) with French fries the and pickled beets. I was surprised by the crinkle cut shoestring fries, surprised because they were the best thing on the plate..they were HOT. The chicken, on the other hand, was shall I say room temperature. I mentioned that the chicken was not as hot as I would have hoped it would be. She went into the kitchen and came back saying that none of the warming lights were out...really..warming lights. She also added, with an attitude, that if I wanted hot chicken I would have had to wait 18 minutes. As I finished what I could I realized that the chicken was dry. I assume that it was passed over for newly fried pieces. Maybe it was a bad day for the fry guy and the waitress, but there will not be a chance to be redeemed, I will not be back... read more

The only good thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. The food, service, and overall experience was very poor. Waitress refilled our drinks only once, after we were already done eating. Food could have been from KFC; nothing special for sure. I would not suggest eating here. read more

We came to this bar/restaurant because it looked like a real chill outdoor bar with a menu ON THE CEILING. Appealing, right? Beautiful day for eating and drinking outside. Only, the host walked away without even saying "follow me", and had to come back for us, and the waitress only thought talking to the men in the group was important. Then we order hot wings, and "chicken mac and cheese nachos" the wings were essentially bones with a sliver of meat attached, and the nachos were piled high with peppers, tomatoes and lettuce to hide the old crusty cheese from sitting on a counter for a good 10 - 15 minutes before being served. This was only known because the kitchen is behind an open fence wall, which probably hasn't been dusted in 6+ months and you can watch the cooks handling your food with no gloves or hairnets. Then to finish it all off, when asking for separate checks the waitress replied "i dont remember what you each ordered, you're going to have to split it yourself". All in all, dont go to the bar unless unless youre already half in the bag. I thought ordering more beer would help and learned the hard way even that was WAY overpriced. I do NOT recommended this "fabulous Jimmy's" for anything other than dinner tables you can write on. read more

Went to Jimmy's at 1pm on a Saturday and had to wait an hour for some fried chicken and burgers. The restaurant was not busy (plenty of empty tables) and we saw people that came in after us getting their food. The manager came over at the waitress' request (we hadn't asked to speak to anyone, but the waitress said she was going to have the manager come over) and was arrogant and rude. The words "I'm sorry" never came out of her mouth- rather it was a series of excuses why we hadn't gotten our food. There are plenty of places in Dewey with friendly management, and going forward, we will be patronizing those places. read more

Just wanted to sit outside somewhere and enjoy lunch in the the first sunny day in a while! This was good for only that. Don't eat the food! The fries were old and cold. The chicken so dry I couldn't swallow it. I was able to only have one beer to try and wash it down because the waitress never notice my empty sitting on the table for 25 minutes. Worst customer service by not only my server Justin and even worse by GM Kristen. Server spilled my drink and did not acknowledge by offering replacement. When I asked he quickly had negative attitude and stopped talking to us. Not a Thank You or have a nice night. When the GM came over she touched me which I consider inappropriate then proceeded to ask me if I spilled my drink. After telling her my experience she replied "what do you want me to do"??? Really???? There are many choices in Dewey and I recommend you pick another. read more

Good bar food in a good atmosphere. Love their fried chicken. Their sides are hit or miss (do not like the pretzel salad), drinks are pretty good. They also have live bands often during the weekends. The best part about this place is that its never packed, the food is pretty goof, and its entirely open to the outside. I nice place to go if you want some comfort food or are hungover or ending a long day of drinking. read more
