Being able to play old video games at the table was fun, and a cool way to pass the time while waiting for our food! The bathroom was absolutely terrible though. I can only speak for the men's room of course, but the door to the stall does not lock and I felt very unsafe and gross. No toilet paper, no paper towels, and no soap. To top it all off, hours after I left the restaurant I read the article about their anti-discrimination lawsuit. Even if that woman did use the men's room as they wanted her too, she would've been in the bathroom with no lock on the door for privacy. It was so uncomfortable in there I even considered using the women's room (but obviously I didn't). It kind of ruined my whole experience because then all I was focused on was inhaling my food and getting out of there so I could use the restroom somewhere else. read more

Wasn't expecting much, but I was surprised the food was awesome. We had boneless wings with bbq sauce they were the best I had in a long time. I had the 3 daughters burger and my wife had the cheese steak both were incredible. They serve tater tots or fries both were delicious and crispy. The service was incredible, we had two women who were attentive, polite and friendly. With TVs, it's a typical sports bar with a full arcade, but the ambiance is kid friendly with superhero statues. I cannot say enough good things about this bar. It is an arcade with so many different games from different eras. It also has skeeball and a shuffleboard table. Really, everything you need to entertain yourself. You have to buy a card to use the games, but after that, you just tap and play. It is decorated with movie stuff, including full sized Superman and Predator statues, and a Barbie throne. We went on a night with karaoke. Very fun time. read more

This is a hidden gem down at the beach. Been meaning to come here for years and finally did on a Friday night! So we walk in, and there are 80s and 90s statues by the door, like life size terminator and the slimer from ghost busters. There are arcade games including Pac-Man! We sang karaoke and had a blast with everyone there. The DJ was great and kept it moving. They also have a large Barbie chair which we had fun taking pictures in. Would love to come back and bring the kids to play games. It looked like they had food but we only ordered drinks. My cosmo was ok, not great. The other drinks we got were pretty standard. Went for pinball -- games were set too high or had broken parts. Very disappointing. I didn't try the food.

The only positive of my night at the hideout was my amazing date. This "arcade" bar has a few pinball machines and a pool table. Every machine says coins not tokens but only takes tokens, do they know the difference? Clearly not. Also the big guy talked about shitting his pants which was hilarious. No service. Worse service I think I can say I've had ever. Sad. Ate our meal and never had a server come over again. I needed a drink badly. After food was all gone they brought drink over. They said they were trying their best. I asked them why are all the tables full of you only have 1 server. She couldn't answer it. They should have only seated what they can handle. Our first time here was a very positive experience! We stopped in on a Wednesday night around 8, so it wasn't too busy, but there were plenty of tables and seats at the bar. First time here on a Monday night. We happened to be here during happy hour, so did take advantage of that. Decent happy hour that includes basic domestic beer, some wine and margaritas. I had a margarita and it was served in a tall glass for a $5 happy hour price. Clearly a bottle mix with cheap tequila but honestly not bad despite that and good value for the money. Our table had a happy hour burger, a king hippo burger, a caeser salad, short rib tacos zelda style and a side of Sriracha mac and cheese. The burgers were cooked to order and they nailed them at medium and medium well. That's not something every restaurant can do. The flavor wasn't amazing but they were good and we finished them both. The zelda style short rib tacos were above average and a fab mix of savory and sweet with perfect spiciness on the Chipotle mayo. It's hard to ruin a caeser with grilled chicken, though I've certainly been to restaurants that have done it, but this caeser was good and a nice size portion. Only thing I can't recommend is the mac and cheese, which tasted like exactly nothing. I've had buttered noodles with more flavor, seriously. The games were fun for our two 15yo girls and they loved having different options. It was a fun dinner spot for them. We were disappointed that the table games were only in the 21+ section. I think if it's busy in the season or n weekends you'd really want to be able to play games at your table and not have to wait for an arcade game to free up. Warning: there are only 8 family-friendly tables here. The entire upper section is reserved for 21+ so you could encounter a long wait for families during the busy season. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to go here or come here for the food, but as a fun off-season spot, especially for 21+, it's a great option. Also, the 80s music is top notch. read more

We made the mistake of needing a late snack and hitting the Hideout on Karaoke night. Folks, the design of the building does not have the acoustic flow that allows for karaoke. Namely the same 3 really bad and really incessantly over-the-top loud babes. It made me miss Hooters. The service however was great. The games were fun but the female bartenders were not! They were rude, pushy, and did not know basic manners. I was shoved, & had a door pushed into me with no acknowledgement. edit: BEWARE!!! After buying only TWO drinks, my friend was charged over $360. For the most part, i have to say this place is an entertaining spot to grab some drinks with some friends. Our first time was great due to the fun atmosphere and strong drinks so i had nothing to complain about. It was the second time we came where we had a bit of an issue. We walk in to a long waiting line right inside the front door with no clear and labeled waiting space. No distancing was going on anywhere and the staff would just be staring at the line of people instead of turning over any tables. We waiting just over an hour to get a table and again no tables are distanced either so i basically just sat there with my mask on between bites of food. This is one negative experience amongst countless others who have had their own unique so don't let me stop you from coming. My husband and I visited recently. When we got there, we weren't greeted and found a table ourselves. We were then approached by 4 different waiters/waitresses, within 10 minutes asking to take our order, felt quite pressured. The food was very good. After eating we played the arcade games which was fun. Our only concern was that they have an American flag hanging upside down in the back corner where the skee ball machines were. The atmosphere is cool with the arcade being accessible. One of the wait staff was not very nice and they were definitely overwhelmed. The food was decent bar food but there was a large menu. Good food Good service and Great atmosphere. But in the end were very disappointed. Our grandson love it because he is a big Starwars fan and a fan of all the other superhero's and characters. But when we went to play the arcade games with him most of the people in the arcade weren't wearing masks. We weren't comfortable with that. So we went to the games up the stairs to the right of the bar area. Nobody else was in there. Then we were told you had to be 21 to be in that area. We understand minors can't be within 6 feet of the bar area but the games on that level are much farther than 6 feet. Also we would have never gone up there if the people (all adults) in the other game area had their masks on. And nobody said anything to them about not wearing their masks. read more

I had the opportunity to visit this establishment on Saturday. so we ordered a round of drink the server which was a guy brings our drinks along with 3other shoots he calls over two other servers and they all did their shot In front of us! Well we did not buy them the shot they just did it on their own. This happened 4 times during the evening by the end of our stay we ordered food the server was so intoxicated he never order out food for us. I think this place has a lot of potential that's not quite realized. They were clearly understaffed and the staff they had on wasn't fully trained, but I will give them a pass on that since they just opened, it's winter, and the staff on was friendly. They really needed a host or at least a sign out front saying someone will be with you soon. The food was not inedible but not great. Some good concepts like Mac and cheese burger, breakfast burger, etc. but lacking flavor. Fries were undercooked and had zero flavor. With some tweaking, I think the menu could improve a lot. The milkshake I got was good but $6 is a little high for the size of it. I definitely left there feeling still hungry and overall unsatisfied. They were also out of a lot of things like peanut butter ice cream, certain drinks, etc. Didn't impact us much but I just heard the staff telling others. The games were fun, the space is a little small. Not the best "barcade" I've been to but a nice addition to the area. I recommend that they look at the Bit Bar in Salem, MA- they do this concept really nicely. Also, put tokens in Dixie cups when they give them to you. Overall, was not a great experience but I hope to go back and see some improvements. read more

So me and my girl friends went out to this bar that we had a good time at in the past for their karaoke night. The security gaurd scanned our ids and we went to the bar PAID FOR OUR DRINKS IN CASH and grabbed a table to participate in karaoke night. Reminder we have ALWAYS paid our bills in cash because the bartenders like to slide in tip if you don't use cash without your approval. Back to the story we were listening to music when 3 men came over and accused of being some girl named Titiana and said we ran out on $150 bill and we have to leave immediately. I was drunk so I couldn't understand at first why they approached us but I could tel by the way they came it was aggressive. My friends explained that we havent been here in 3 weeks and we showed them our ids. Afterwards they apologized repeatedly and told us they would give us free drinks on the house but never ever did that. So from here on out The hideout does not get my service we were black women who were wrongly accused just because we came in the bar as black women not to mention the three men we're all white and said they had video footage but when my friend told him to show us he had nothing to say. I never been racially profiled but this experience was embarrassing asf beings that everyone seen what happened. read more

This is a generous three stars, the place is just getting up and running but I'm guessing the woman bartender never worked a bar, is related to the owner or both. Several times she asked the other bartender how to make a certain drink, she was very slow and Unsure behind the bar it and wasn't really interacting with the customers. Some training of the staff would help, this could be a very fun place and a great alternative to the other restaurants and bars in the area. read more

None of the games worked and when I Asked the Manager about what happened it was no ones fault and it wouldn't be fixed until later days but they continued to allow people to use the machines. The soups were cold on the inside like it was microwaved. The burgers are good but not as good as other local restaurants. The arcade games are in a nice large room but the styles of games are lame. Also, the alcoholic beverages were not made properly. I ordered an orange crush and I couldn't drink it it was so bad.
