After reading the reviews I was skeptical but a good friend recommended this restaurant so we tried it on the Friday night before Labor Day 2024. The interior is an open floor plan with a bar in the center. The decor had a modern industrial feel with high ceilings. We had reservations so even though the place was packed we were seated quickly. Once we were seated our waitress promptly took our drink orders and soon after our dinner choices.. The drinks came over quickly and so did our entrees. Everyone enjoyed their meals and they get a bonus star because they plated everything really well. We tried the red velvet cake and peach cake for desert. Both were fantastic. Our server, Victoria was great! She was very knowledgeable and funny. Our food items were a good portions for the price. Fried green tomatoes were great and we added the extra topping of the day, which was shrimp salad for $5. It was worth it. The spicy martini was excellent. The tacos were a great portion. We sat outside and it was nice. They don't have lights outside only the street lights, which was kinda odd. They get their dessert from a local bakery but it was delicious. We were able to walk in and sit down at 6:30 on a Saturday. We were even able to have our choice between inside or outside. For this mom, that was awesome; waiting a long time is always ruinous for our family of four. The tuna nachos were delicious. My son ordered the chicken fingers from the kids menu and LOVED that the lemonade had free refills. He took full advantage. We all enjoyed our food and the live music outside was great. The food was excellent. The service was fast and inviting. The happy hour was from 11am to 6pm which we got a pint of Miller Lite drafts for $3.75 each. We got a yellow fin tuna sandwich (one blackened one pan seared) and each was perfectly cooked to medium. My son got a oyster po boy and it was massive. My daughter got the fried Mahi tacos and it was great! This entire bill was so much less than at other places. We will be back! read more

We have been customers at Yellow Fin in Selbyville for many years and have very much enjoyed the service, atmosphere and food. This is our second time trying Yellow Fin's in Bethany. The first time the food was ok, but the acoustics inside the restaurant were terrible- there were not many people In the restaurant but we could not hear each other or the bartender- it was so loud and terrible echos. We left early because it was so unpleasant. Tonight was our second try, we sat outside, the hostess was nice, the patio was lovely and we really enjoyed the live music on a fine summer night. However, the drinks were very mediocre, I ordered a margarita and it was served with no salt on the rim, and they did not ask if I wanted salt. When I asked if they could give me salt, they did return with some salt on the glass but it was watered down. The whiskey sour my husband ordered was subpar, with no garnish or cherries. The food itself was ok- tacos were nice. But the bacon cheese fries were inedible bcs they were so drenched with cheese whizz yuck. The wait was a little Longer for drinks and food than you would expect, and our food was served before we got utensils. But the icing on the cake that really bothered us was last call was at 8:40pm! This is a bar correct? They shut down drinks at 9pm in the middle Of a beach town in summer? How does this make sense? We received our food at 8:30pm and were asked if we needed boxes and wanted our check at 8:45. The waitress was clearing plates around me while I was eating my meal. Not a fan, and they closed the doors to the bar and restaurant from the patio promptly at 9:15, leaving all the customers out on the patio with no option other than egress to the parking lot thru the fenced patio. Not welcoming. Whoever is managing this place, doesn't seem to want to make money. Overall not a nice dining experience. Disappointed because there is real potential for a great neighborhood bar here. We wanted it to be good. read more

Our family went to Yellowfin for a little Sunday drinking and brunch get together. The crushes are very good, some of the awesome items on the menu include blackened mahi bites. The fish and chips very good. Yellowfin will definitely become a local hangout. The staff is friendly and accommodating. read more

Big fans of selbyville so happy not to have to go that far. We started at this location shortly after they opened. Service has been very poor and some dishes not up to snuff. We went today as July 4 th. As usual when they could be bothered to seat us we then watched 5 or 6 wait staff hanging out in the back. Waited 8 to 15 mins before our waitress approached. Drinks always take a long time ( maybe next time we'll sit at the bar. Food was up to snuff question for management. Tuna in tuna nachos has always been rare. Today it was seared. Was this a mistake or are you changing it? Please try and address the issues shared in this site. Hate to have to drive to Sbville in the summer. read more

This was our fourth time having dinner here. The first three visits were excellent. Today was much different. Service was good and the Cream of Crab soup was excellent. From this point, it went down hill. We each ordered the Chicken Chesapeake sandwiches, one with chips and the other with onion rings. The Sandwiches were very dry, virtually no moisture. The onion rings were cold when delivered. The chips, which are usually very good, instead we're also cold, tasted like lard and seemed to be a day or two old. Our second time here. Obviously we liked it enough the first time to come again. 6 of us, one friend ordered the chicken sandwich without the bun. Chicken was so tough she couldn't cut it. Waitress was kind and offered to take it back so my friend ordered a burger medium no bun. Two others in the party also ordered burgers medium - all three were completely raw in the middle. Again waitress was kind and offered to take them back. I ordered a cheese steak sub, there was barely enough meat on the sandwich to cover one side of the sandwich - very skimpy. I didn't complain we'd already embarrassed the waitress enough. My husband ordered the fish sandwich, no flavor, but he also ate without complaint. Sixth person ordered the chicken taco special, it was just okay. Absolutely terrible lunch, we won't be back. read more

So sad! The tuna nachos have always been my must have! They were disappointing tonight. Tuna was not very fresh. Kind of mushy. Wontons were under cooked. Not that crispy. Service was non existent. Server never checked on us once. On top of everything, we bought the sale gift card during Black Friday weekend. HAD TO PAY CASH FOR IT. But when you use it they charge the charge card rate for your meals not the cash price. WE PAID CASH FOR THE CARD. Very irritating. We'll need to use the card quickly and find our go-to tuna nachos somewhere else. read more

The food was cold for 3 out of 5 diners, it took 10 minutes before the waitress responded but didn't take cold meals away, her response was the manager "is in the kitchen ". Finally the manager appeared @ agreed to replace meals. One diner declined any meal, one diner eat cold roast beef, the third diner they remade her meal & reduced price by $5. Several other diners in restaurant were served cold meals. Service was so slow we dined for 2 hours. We're not giving them a second chance. read more

First time being to this location, don't think I will return. Had a party of 7, realize that is large and will have to wait for a table to open up. Was told 30 minutes, saw at least 30 people get seated before us and parties just as large as ours. Was told they had reservations, ok but we waited over an hour and still no seat. Finally asked what was going on and they pretty much forgot about us. How? When all 7 of us were right in front of them. Food was ok but they ran out of tuna nachos. That was disappointing. They need to work on their customer service. No straws or appetizer plates were given. Just a little disappointed. Will likely not return. Food is pretty good with great options to build your own burger. Service is lacking. On three separate visits, the time to get a drink is absurdly long. It appears a waitress must go to the rear of the restaurant and enter the order into a POS system. Bar then preps order and places drinks at rear of bar. If server is busy, drinks just sit. Manager stood talking to bartender for many minutes as orders backed up. No runners and I watched a cold beer warm up for at least 8 minutes before ours server delivered it. On another visit I saw at least a dozen drinks just sit waiting for pickup. Unlike other great BB restaurants, servers don't back each other up to deliver drinks, pickup credit cards on tables waiting to pay. Manager does nothing to note the backup; does not help out when busy just gets in everyone's way. read more

food was actually really good and if this was just on food i would give it a 4.5 but however the service was actually god awful. when we got there another table said they waited over an hour for food but we still decided to stay. the server was nice but clearly was everywhere. we asked for more chips with our crab dip and had to ask multiple times and one of our meals was never put in. table behind was asked if they wanted their check and they never got there food and it wasn't put in. think if the service gets better this cause be a really good restaurant. read more

this review is only a one star because of the waitress who was great to our party of 9. our food took an hour and a half to come out and that was just the appetizers. another 30 minutes on top of that for our main courses. our food was cold and people in our party who got fish said that it was nothing special. my food never got put in and after 2 hours of waiting i was hungry. multiple people from our party got upset stomachs after we left. we wanted to try a new restaurant for once but never again. read more
