Well, it was open and no wait which the other two places weren't. The big open air feeling gives it a nice atmosphere and the guy playing the acoustic set was entertaining. The menu is super limited and this isn't really more than basic bar food beach style. Had crab cake sandwiches - this isn't the lump broiled crab cake that, for me, is standard fare. It's fried - much like everything on the menu. That said its not terrible but come on, Jimmy! This is crab cake country - I expect much better! My daughter ended up picking sides off the menu - she hates chicken and seafood. The Mac and cheese was mushy and not that good. The corn on the cob met her approval as well as the watermelon. I had the mango run drink which was pretty refreshing. So, while I don't see myself ever coming back - if you are looking for a decent bar this should fit the bill. Otherwise, meh. read more

5 Stars. This is a very fun and lively place and I had a wonderful time. The seating is first come, first sit - so you may need to wait until a table clears out. Make sure you're not starving when you arrive. Our server was great. We asked for separate checks, no problem. A few of us ordered the fried chicken that came with 2 sides. The chicken steaming hot, well seasoned and not over greasy, light and crispy. I had a Creamsicle Crush. Yumm! A few others ordered the fried chicken and they cleared their plates. Some ordered the burger, crab cake sandwich, and grilled chicken salad. We were all quite satisfied. Definitely try one of the Crush specialties. Nice spot! Nothing fancy, but the food, service and drinks were spot on! We ate here 3 of the 5 nights when staying a block away. The fried chicken was perfect, tender and flavorful. The crab cakes were on the small side, but were full of jumbo lump back-fin and lightly seasoned. The steamed shrimp were plump, perfectly cooked and dusted with the necessary Old Bay. And the buffalo wings were as good as you get anywhere else. All food was very reasonably priced. Drinks (mojitos and ruby red crush) were good, but on the pricey side. But the quality live music (very approachable acoustic solo / duo guitars) was the real gold star for this place! This was Summer 2020, so COVID note: We we're able to sit outside every night at very widely spaced tables (nothing like the cramped "outside" tables at nearby spots - where we opted for takeout) and ALL servers wore masks. We felt very comfortable with their cleanliness and distancing precautions. read more

COVID Warning: their servers were wearing their masks over their chins the entire time we were there, on a busy weekend night. They didn't even move the mask up to their nose/mouth when taking our order at our table, two feet away from us. So if you are okay with irresponsible mask use, then go here. If you would prefer not to risk getting COVID from this place, you should look elsewhere. That said, the food and live music were enjoyable and hopefully management gets their servers to properly wear their masks. I would not go back there until they do. read more

The open air bar is a stone's throw from Bottle and Cork and has a little parking lot (best to register for local parking at the police station first!). Go for the convenient drinks and chicken strips or fried chicken before a concert and stay for the friends. It's not the most exciting place for food or drinks and there is nothing classy or gourmet here, unless you consider orange crushes and fried chicken gourmet. But it's a great meeting place and will leave you with fond memories on a fun concert night. read more

Me and my wife asked the hostess any spots available at the bar. The hostess went inside to check and said yes, two seats right when you walk in, and two at the other end at the bar. So, In went to the two seats when u walk in. Immediately a man walked up to us and said "you cannot sit here it's too close to the other people, you need to go outside and talk to the hostess". At this point people are starring at us bc he is loud and my wife says we already talked to hostess she said to sit here. Finally after back and forth he says you can sit at one of the tables near the bar. As we were sitting at the table near the bar two white males walk in and sit right at the chairs we were told not to sit in. No one said anything to them including the man the told us we cannot sit there. I'm furious at this point. Honestly bc of how he talked to my wife and bc I'm black my wife is white and I felt like after seeing these two white males sitting there this is VERY discriminatory. Upon leaving I went up to the man and said "thought no one should be sitting there?" He said, oh Um I didn't see them sit down. This was a lie bc he walked right past them. Jimmy's this is awful service and concerning on many different levels. The man I assume was the manager. We won't be going back here. read more

I was here for Sunday lunch with a group of six. It was such a relief to find a place that didn't have a two hour wait (lookin' at you, Starboard), and the service here was great. Drinks are strong (especially all the tasty vodka ones) and the fried chicken is worth going back for. Mac and cheese was pretty tasty, too. Lots of TV screens meant we could keep up with the women's world cup but weren't overly distracted, so we had a really good time and even took a photo out front with the chicken sculpture on our way out. Had an early dinner there and came just in time for their happy hour. I had a caribean crushie to start with and it was good. We ordered the mac and cheese nacho's. Please do not waste your money on this disgusting appetizer. Our server didn't even give us plates for our individual portions. It was tasteless and the chips were almost burnt. For dinner I had the crab cake and fried chicken dinner which was good. I ordered the pretzel salad and the cucumber salad as my sides which were very good. My daughter was pleased her burger. The fries are made fresh. My husband was less than pleased with his fried chicken dinner. I loved the concept of the restaurant from the outside in. It had a beachy feel to it with the breeze. Not a place for kids though. It is a bar afterall. And the staff wasn't jumping at the chance to seat or serve us. read more

I ended up spending eight bucks just on Pop, which was rather ridiculous but hey serves me right for assuming. They've got a decent menu, albeit small, and service was friendly if a little slow on getting back to us with drinks (a blessing in disguise since I drink Pop like a mad man). I did try their pretzel salad dessert and it was AMAZING. I probably would go back over and over and over again for it. I'll stick to water moving forward, but definitely would return. read more

We came here late night for the live music. No cover & lots of open picnic tables for seating. Service was good, the waitress was nice enough to give us her pen so we could draw on the table. Go to Starboards a half block away if you're looking for a fun time. The best thing that this place has going for itself is the sweet gazebo that it is housed under. The food was bland and came out cold. I'd skip the food and just go for the crushes. The crushes were pretty tasty, but why don't they have any beers on tap? I could buy my own six pack of Landshark across the street if I wanted to drink from a bottle for about a fifth of the cost. The food is killer for comfort food, but definitely not a spot if you're on a diet. Don't make the mistake one of my housemates made, when she asked "if they had a vegetarian meal...." you'll get looked at like you have two heads. Three best menu items, are hands down the Mac and Cheese, the Chicken, and Cucumber Salad. For the glutton option, go with the Chicken Mac and Cheese Nachos, but have an ambulance on stand by because it is what it sounds like; Nachos with all the fixins topped with a ton of Mac and Cheese and Fried Chicken. Not sure why this place has such low reviews! Every time I've been here it's been delicious! I've tried the fried chicken, the fries, the strawberry pretzel salad (drool) the chicken salad sandwich, and the Mac n cheese and it's all so. Good. It's great greasy beach food for those hot days you're all sweaty and just want some grease and salt. It's all outdoor seating in a pavilion sort of setting. The service has always been fine. Pretty standard bar food here, despite the smattering of seafood they had on the menu I got chicken strips and fries. Both were good but not out of this world or very unique. The best part of the place was the crushes, they were amazing drinks that I had never heard of before coming here. I recommend trying the strawberry lemonade crush (but ask for raspberry vodka instead of strawberry). It was great! The setting was really nice too, the restaurant/bar seamlessly blends the inside and outside to make an airy atmosphere where you can still enjoy a warm summer night.
