The service was great considering only one server and it started getting busy. Brought Mom to have some breakfast. She ordered the chipped beef over biscuits ( yeah toast is better). She enjoyed it and even had some to bring home to have another small breakfast. I had the breakfast special of country fried steak with sausage gravy a biscuit and home fries and a really delish cup of coffee.Yummy!. We grabbed some half price donuts on the way out. I had a huge jelly filled one it was really tasty!

While out and about decided to get some breakfast. Been living nearby for almost 3 years and never been here! It reminded me of an old school local NJ Diner. Prices were reasonable for the portion size. I had the Western Omelet with cheddar cheese, home fries (other option is grits) and toast. The Omelet was huge! I couldn't even finish it. It was loaded with meat, onions, pepper and cheese. Absolutely delicious. The home fries were very tasty but a bit greasy. Atmosphere was pleasant. Clean. The service was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They also have a bakery which looked pretty good. I did not try it this time but plan to on my next visit.

Liquid eggs, potatoes tasted like they were cooked in cheap oil

OK, let me start with this places even below mediocre. The service was really really long and the food as you could tell by the picture was not very good. They were liquid eggs canola oil tasted like on the potatoes and they had the TVs blaring with FOX news, businesses that serve the public should keep the politics to themselves. There's plenty of game shows on television during that time in the morning, but overall the food as stated above was below even mediocre this is definitely a hard pass

Their divine bakery case... really good danishes and donuts

If you are looking for a casual, good old fashioned diner breakfast, this is a good place. Coffee is hot, regularly topped off and included in your breakfast (something that is pretty novel these days!) It's a diner, so for me, the eggs are always under spiced (just a little salt and pepper, that is all I am asking for!) But their waffles looked gorgeous, piled with fresh fruit so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Homefries were meh... and their fans could use a good cleaning - I mean don't look up and hopefully they don't turn them on... but staff were friendly and chatty and you sort of feel like you belong with the locals in here Anyway... this review is for that pastry case - seriously best donuts and pastries IN.THE.AREA - and get there early because they sell out fast!

Home fries? Really?

Food is good. If you like Fox News, this is a place to try. Fox News seems to be on the two TVs 24/7.

The ambiance was what you expect when dining on the east coast of Delaware, it felt like you truly walked into a fish camp, from the patrons sitting at the bar and the raw bar, to the families that were enjoying dinner and laughter together truly made you feel welcomed. Now to the food, we started off with their house made hush puppies tossed in old bay and served with honey butter, and deviled eggs with candied bacon and hot honey, these 2 dishes alone gave you that taste of southern cuisine, than came our entrees, we both had the fish and chips, and I must say this by far is one of my favorite dishes we have had since we've been coming to the beaches of Delaware and Maryland, the fish was super flaky and moist, the breading was super crispy and flavorful, you could taste the dill in their house made tartar and it left me wanting more, the chips were crispy and hot, the Cole slaw was very fresh, and the dill pickle chips on the side gave you that nice taste of salty and sour, in all Matt's exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return in the fall!'

Wow, thats what I've got for you folks wow…read more Lets start with ambiance, its cute here i loved it. Its a small, quaint little downstairs with more space upstairs. The decor is spot on, just so nice all around! Let's go on to the service. I'm going to shout out Caleb he was great all around very attentive. Answered all my annoying questions haha. Really fantastic. The wait times for food were just right, didn't take too long but didn't rush you. So now for me to talk way too much. OH MY GOD THE FOOD! This is easily the best food I've had in southern delaware. Hands down, full stop. I got a blackened catfish over a red beet salad. The fish was fresh! Yes fresh in February I'm impressed. The blackened seasoning was so good, just spicy enough to make me smile but not too spicy to be unpleasant. Flaky and perfectly cooked I was not disappointed in any way or another. How about the salad? Well, it was a kale salad which I'm not normally a fan of. But the elements of the salad were perfect, the toasted walnuts, the beets, apples, just everything about married in flawless harmony. Even my mother-in-law agreed the kale salad was great. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to call it this was an out of the park experience! Drinks, a new addition to my review this week haha. The bar tenders do a "great pour" per my wife and father-in-law. Me, I stick with non-alcoholic and oh man they nailed that too. This is just all good, like whole thing is great. Thank you for an awesome lunch, keep rolling folks!

I will summarize my two most recent family dinners here during the Thanksgiving and Christmas weekends: Marlene took our 5:30 PM dinner reservation over the phone. I was here with my family of nine including two children for Friday night dinner after Thanksgiving day upstairs at a corner table. I started with my spicy margarita for $14. We also shared a bottle of Duckhorn Decoy Brut champagne for $52, which was reduced down to $26 by 50% off due to Friday 50% off on all wine bottles. The Decoy brut champagne was excellent. We also shared and enjoyed the crab dip for $21. We also shared and enjoyed three dozen raw oysters samplers for a total of $81. I also enjoyed my crispy duck confit special with pappardelle, basil pesto, fried onion and garlic chilli vinaigrette for $32. My total bill was $455 excluding gratuity. Morelia C. (nicknamed Mo) served us very well as usual despite us having two children. We first met Mo, when she bartended at the downstairs bar, when we were here prior for many Sunday afternoon happy hours. We returned here again with my larger family of 14 including five children for dinner on the Saturday after Christmas. We had a 5:30 PM dinner reservation. We were again seated immediately upstairs. I started with and enjoyed my two Makers Mark Manhattans up for $15 each. We also shared and enjoyed two dozen raw oysters samplers for $27 per dozen. We also ordered and enjoyed one dozen of the more expensive Raspberry Points for $48. Raspberry Point Oysters are premium, cold-water farmed oysters from Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada, prized for their firm meat, distinct briny flavor with a sweet finish, and deep cups, taking 5-7 years to mature in New London Bay's tidal waters. They're known for being easy to shuck and popular in gourmet settings due to their consistent quality and appealing salty-sweet profile. We also shared the calamari for $17 and the devilled eggs for $19. I also enjoyed my confit lamb shank for $38. Caleb M. served us very well despite us having five children. My total bill was $737 excluding gratuity. Caleb applied our Indian River High School band 10% discount to our bill, which reduced the total from $737 down to $663 excluding gratuity. On Sunday's our favorite bartender is Nick C. Nick said hello, when we visited during the Thanksgiving holiday. We will continue to return here with family and friends for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

Will (who ended up being the owner) made the ordering process so simple, guided us through what went best in the boil order, and even recommended we slim the order to 7 as we added a lot to it. Boil flavor was legit, shrimp, sausage, clams, mussel's and crab legs was our combo. Also added some pulled pork (which blew us away flavor wise), slaw and corn bread as additional food. For a group setting, this was tough to beat, would def do again. Also, I believe it was Grace who handed off our order when we showed up, couldn't have been a nicer person, explained how to dive in, gave us extra sauce.
