We have been coming here for five years and decided today we won't be back.... Not sure what happened but service and food quality have been declining over the past year. Sat at the counter this morning and had two eggs grits and a cup of fruit with (refillable) iced tea to drink. My husband had a western omelet, home fries and a cup of (bottomless) coffee. Food was just so/so. Fruit was legit bottom of the bowl...the juice in the bottom of my cup was BROWN. Omelet was very sparsely filled... we never were asked to have our drinks refilled never asked what kind of toast we wanted and when I asked for a to-go cup the blonde (who has been there a while) handed me a cup to put my iced tea in. It didn't even fill half of the cup so I asked her for a refill to-go. Asked for the check.... She simply said $39 is your bill. We paid with a $50 I told her to keep the change and can I have a receipt. "I can't give you this receipt because the owner needs it. I can write you another one." Here is what I got.

The service was great considering only one server and it started getting busy. Brought Mom to have some breakfast. She ordered the chipped beef over biscuits ( yeah toast is better). She enjoyed it and even had some to bring home to have another small breakfast. I had the breakfast special of country fried steak with sausage gravy a biscuit and home fries and a really delish cup of coffee.Yummy!. We grabbed some half price donuts on the way out. I had a huge jelly filled one it was really tasty!

While out and about decided to get some breakfast. Been living nearby for almost 3 years and never been here! It reminded me of an old school local NJ Diner. Prices were reasonable for the portion size. I had the Western Omelet with cheddar cheese, home fries (other option is grits) and toast. The Omelet was huge! I couldn't even finish it. It was loaded with meat, onions, pepper and cheese. Absolutely delicious. The home fries were very tasty but a bit greasy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was pleasant. Clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They also have a bakery which looked pretty good. I did not try it this time but plan to on my next visit.

Liquid eggs, potatoes tasted like they were cooked in cheap oil

OK, let me start with this places even below mediocre. The service was really really long and the food as you could tell by the picture was not very good. They were liquid eggs canola oil tasted like on the potatoes and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they had the TVs blaring with FOX news, businesses that serve the public should keep the politics to themselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's plenty of game shows on television during that time in the morning, but overall the food as stated above was below even mediocre this is definitely a hard pass

Their divine bakery case... really good danishes and donuts

If you are looking for a casual, good old fashioned diner breakfast, this is a good place. Coffee is hot, regularly topped off and included in your breakfast (something that is pretty novel these days!) It's a diner, so for me, the eggs are always under spiced (just a little salt and pepper, that is all I am asking for!) But their waffles looked gorgeous, piled with fresh fruit so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Homefries were meh... and their fans could use a good cleaning - I mean don't look up and hopefully they don't turn them on... but staff were friendly and chatty and you sort of feel like you belong with the locals in here Anyway... this review is for that pastry case - seriously best donuts and pastries IN.THE.AREA - and get there early because they sell out fast!

    Home fries? Really?

Tim and Trent (two wonderful ginger bartenders!) and a talented kitchen gave us a lovely experience. Happy Hour offerings were excellent. We splurged on the AMAZING Parker House Rolls. Yes, $9 for rolls. No notes. Ok, notes....delicious & worth it. Dad said the Station Single Slider wasn't a skinny frozen patty but very good. He also liked the shoestring fries and worth the $3 upcharge. A couple weeks ago he enjoyed the Crabcake Sandwich - decent size & very little filler. Mom loves the Crab Rangoons. We also tried the Pimento Cheese Fritters with Hot Pepper Jelly. Yummy. I only wish they had at least one kind of healthy option on the HH menu like a grilled tender ...but hey, they have salads! We go early, because we're older. Don't judge. BUT...unlike other venues, the restaurant is spacious and the sound quality & acoustics are...chef's kiss! Even when the place is full, you can still have a conversation. Ambiance is top tier! The blue & white decor is lovely and with touches of brass it's beachy without being kitschy. The bar stools are comfy, padded, and LUSH. AND they now serve a full bar! (Call back to those who remember Warren's Station when they didn't) According to my Mom, the Pinot Gris is GREAT and they give a decently good pour at a great HH price! What's not to like? It's definitely worth the trip! Look for the big BLUE Roof! Check it out!

The Chef looks familiar, I think I tasted his food before at one of the Celebrity Chefs Brunches for Meals on Wheels. I remember it being fantastic. There is outside dining but I booked inside as we weren't sure how warm it would be in May. It turned out to be a cold and windy weekend so we were very glad to be inside, plus the outside tables have a view of the highway. What a cute little restaurant inside; it is very tiny. We were crammed into a table in the corner. It was difficult to get past the other diners at their tables, and we could hear all the conversations around us. Every table was packed, I can't imagine what it's like in this room during the busy summer. Noelle was our server and she was amazing; very knowledgeable and friendly. She described the homemade bread service to us, and we ordered 2 Coastalpolitans which were made with Tito's Vodka, lime, soju, St. Germaine, and cranberry. They were sweet, and tart, and bright, and delicious. We decided on crab toast instead of the bread, and Noelle said we made the right choice. Wow, she was correct. The crab toast blew us away. It was chunks of crab on fluffy, crispy milk bread with pickled scallions, radish, lemon aioli, kelp powder, and lime. So beautiful and so delectable! RJ ordered the Pork Chop, which Noelle said One Coastal is known for, and I ordered the NJ Day Boat Scallops. We had no words. We sat there and quietly enjoyed every bite while listening to the surrounding tables, and knew we found a maybe not so hidden gem. My scallops were delicate and buttery and sweet, and melted in my mouth. RJ said his pork chop was tender and juicy, and the best he ever had. That is saying something. We finished with bread pudding because who doesn't love a good bread pudding, and we like to try it whenever we see one that looks interesting. It was salty and sweet and just so perfect. What One Coastal lacks in space and view, it makes up for with food and service. What a delightful place, and Noelle was a pleasure and a joy. We will definitely return to try all the other things and be lucky to sit anywhere inside or out.

We waited pretty long between our appetizers and entrees. They list gluten and dairy containing products on the menu. Food: the food was fresh and you could tell everything was made in house. The menu changes frequently and what we saw online was different when we got there. The salad was good but could have used a splash or 2 more of dressing. They had a bread appetizer special which tasted like an upscale Texas Roadhouse bread and butter. The duck breast entree had great flavor but it didn't fully mesh well together. Some bites were great while some lacked. The duck itself was good very well

It's just beautiful to look out on the evening sky over the bay. So getting into it I ordered the froze at the recommendation of our server (i forget what I was between). It was good but I won't get again, I'm not big into the sweet frozen stuff so I should have known better, but I was trying something different. As a table we started with warm cornbread. Myself and my daughter got the shrimp and grits, can't ever go wrong! My father got the big fat crab cakes (his go to staple), and my mom went with simple fried shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and my daughter couldn't wait for dessert. Although I was too stuffed we got the triple chocolate brownie sundae at my daughter's request to celebrate my bday. I couldn't snap a photo before she dug in!! Service was wonderful, manager even came over to be sure everything was well. He even snapped a family photo for us on our way out. Will return for sure!!

I've been telling my wife for the past year how much she'd love it and it definitely didn't disappoint! My parents arrived in town earlier than we did and stopped here for happy hour without us, but we all made it back later in the week. A must try if you love oysters & clams -- just make sure you arrive a little before they open (4pm) because the bar fills up quickly!). We started with the star of the show, the raw bar of course! Between the 4 of us we had multiple orders of clams and oysters. We love oysters and a good buck-a-shuck is so difficult to find near us in Jersey, so we had to take advantage of this one. The oysters and clams always taste fresh--we've never had a bad one here. The calamari is tender and lightly breaded. The burger is a phenomenal deal served with their house-cut boardwalk fries that are to die for if you're a French fry aficionado! The food, both quality and prices, makes Catch 54 really stand out compared to so many other bars and restaurants of similar stature. My aunt loves crab cakes and said Catch 54's crab cake was phenomenal. Better than many other crab cakes she's had locally. Our drink orders included draft beer, the Sunset Spritz, and the Pineapple Martini (which was delicious and on happy hour!). The bartenders were great! Friendly, personable, attentive, made great drinks, and even remembered us from last year. That's unbelievable considering the number of customers they serve every night. Aside from the incredible, food-forward Happy Hour & daily Buck-a-Shuck (including weekends), another thing that sets Catch 54 apart from many other local restaurants we frequent in the area is the updated, modern decor and upscale, yet still casual, aesthetic that hits you as soon as you walk in. I've yet to experience anything but happy hour, but it feels like a place I'd take my wife for a dinner date. My only disappointment comes from myself -- I was only able to stop n once during our annual vacation but we made the most of it. Next year I'm going to make it a point to stop in more frequently.
