The hotdogs here are far from the best I ever had but when compared to the overpriced and always ice cold coney island and the rude service at Bill's sandwich shop, it's for sure the best hot dog restaurant in New Castle. At Jimmy's you can get 5 hotdogs, 4 mozzarella sticks, and a pepsi for only 14.03 and they give you 6 bucks in change. The owner and cashier are always polite never rude. The prices are very very good and cheap especially given that the food is tasty. This will be a place I will make a regular habit of stopping at after having been here twice. It may not be the best ever but it's certainly the best hot dogs and best prices for them in all of New Castle if not all of Lawrence county. read more

Jimmy's is always a solid choice. Couple hot dogs with everything and a burger with fries is typically my go to. During lent the fish sandwich platter is great! Always friendly service. Nice little old school diner feel when dining in. Keep in mind though, they only accept cash but do have an ATM there. read more

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place in New Castle, Pa. I honestly just paid 4.95 for one of the best souvlaki sandwiches I had in a long time. The tzatiki was a wonderful accompaniment too. Also,one of the best sides of Fries. They were not soggy or cold or had any kind of crisper stuff in them. They were hot and crispy just like you remembered from before fries somehow took a turn for the worse. I was actually on my way to another spot when I seen all the work trucks here and decided to stop. It was the best decision I've made all day. The place was a little disheveled from the lunch rush but you can tell it was because they were busy. They had a list of specials all very reasonably priced from hot dogs to grilled cheese and everything else. My only slight annoyance was the Pepsi was a little flat. Other than that, I will be back for this sandwich. If I ate fish sandwiches I would definitely get one from here because they looked amazing. Pro Tip- they are a cash only business but they have an ATM with a low fee if you forget cash. read more

Get chili cheese on everything. Good food, good service. This is a mom and pop type of place, so when you go there don't expect the red carpet rolled out for you. Step up to the counter, state your order, then take a seat and wait for it to be done. Big portions on the fries, great hotdogs. This is nacho cheese, not shredded cheese. The prices are great. I'm was amazing, the man at the front counter (Jimmy?) was very attentive. Even though my order was wrong, I really didn't care, there are plenty of signs to check your food and I didn't do it until I had made it back to my hotel so that's on me but the food I did get was still amazing! First, sorry the picture isn't the best looking, but I had to have a bite of my hot dog! This pic shows a MEDIUM french fry. It fed 3 of us with a little leftover. These dogs "with everything" are delicious. The buns are soft and fresh, the dogs have that "snap" when you bite, and sauce is just the right amount of heat. They also have gyro sandwiches- I'm getting one of those next week before leaving for home. I'll let you know how it rates! Oh yeah- 4 dogs and the medium fry was just under $10!! read more

Cash only. But the prices are pretty reasonable, so it's not too big of an issue. I tried the souvlaki sandwich since this place seemed to have a Greek history to it. It definitely took longer to get than other people who ordered hot dogs, but it good. It was nice and hot when I got it and the sauce on it was great. The fries were good, nothing special. But you got a lot of them. Drink prices are super cheap, but the refills are 45 cents. Not a big deal. It definitely had a local old school feel too it which was nice and definitely what I wanted since I was just passing through town. I would come back and try the hot dogs and gyros! read more

Solid "hole in the wall" kinda food joint. Had their fish sandwich, which was massive and absolutely delicious. Their chili is bomb.com too! Prices are super reasonable and surprisingly cheap for the amount of food you get. For a New Castle hot dog establishment, I would say you would be at the top of the list if you visited Jimmy's. Their specials are very economical and their fish sandwiches outstanding as long as you go big. I would prefer Coke products vs. Pepsi on tap but you can go to the can if necessary. The service staff is a mix of characters who makes it interesting to visit and more interesting to investigate. Try it if you're a former or current coney expert as they DO have a good product. read more

Where do I start? Everything here is amazing especially the hotdogs!! The hotdogs are on a nice soft hotdog bun and definitely recommend some chili with whatever toppings you like. Immaculate restaurant, first thing i noticed. Older gentleman greeted me at counter, perhaps Jimmy? Sweetest and kindest man with a sweet friendly demeanor. Fabulous menu, I am eating one of the best gyros I've ever had. Piping hot, freshest pita, tzakiki sauce to die for. I can't wait to come back and explore more on this,menu. 06/04/2016 visit: I was hungry when I was driving by, so I stopped. I order the sausage sandwich and fries with chili. The food I got was huge compared to the price I paid for it. But I got my fries I though they mess up and gave me gravy instead.. First time I had chili saice that was brown. it was ok but dont think I will order it again. But the sausage sandwich I loved.
