I would have given them 2 stars if they weren't so expensive, because my nails look okay, but considering the ridiculous price 1 star is more appropriate. My friend and I each had a Dealsaver which cost $25, for a "Spa Pedicure & extra 10 minute foot massage", normal price of which it states is $50. Yes, the little fruit plate was lovely and the big orange chairs are nice. But that was it. It was truly the fastest pedicure I've ever had. I entered the store and 32 minutes later I was out the door, and that included me taking a pee and picking out my nail color. Seriously? So the 27 minute pedicure INCLUDED an extra 10 minute massage? Holy moly that means the usual $50 Spa Pedi is 17 minutes long. What a ripoff. I usually go to a place on the north side of town where I get an awesome LONG foot rub and a very nice nail job and the NORMAL price is $25. If I'd actually PAID $50 at Jimmy's I'd be super annoyed right now. As it is, I'll never go back. If you want a luxury "spa" pedicure, spend a few bucks more and go to the Chrysalis. If you just want a competent pedicure, save some loot and go to any of the numerous decent nail shops around town. read more

My daughter and I have visited several nail places in town for mani pedis and Jimmy's is by far the cleanest and most pleasant to visit. The staff is caring & upbeat and the environment is pleasing and not too crowded. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars - even though I didn't quite get what I wanted - and here's why: * I was a walk-in and on a Friday morning they were super busy! I only had to wait 20mins for a chair, which is amazing since they were full and all hands were on deck. * The spa pedicure was great. I have very calloused feet from walking barefoot a lot and they did a good job with the foot scrub. * For my manicure I asked for white polish, but she did white french tips instead; it was fine and she did a good job with the detail but not my favorite look on me. * While my nails were drying I got a shoulder and neck rub which was a fantastic surprise for me since I've been having neck pains recently. * Jimmy was constantly checking in on everyone to make sure they had anything and everything they needed. * Jimmy did my arm massage after my polish dried which was great. * I did realize later that I got charged for gel when I did only get regular polish, but really their prices are totally fair for the quality of experience they provide. And I never feel bad for giving more money to small, local businesses. Overall it was a fantastic experience! I would definitely recommend going here. They even have a mani/pedi package special on Mondays and Tuesdays. Next time I'd probably want to plan better and make an appointment on a Friday or Saturday. read more

Is this place for real! Amazing!!! I moved up from the Seattle area and this place is better than any place I've been in Seattle. You are quickly greeted at the door with smiles. The energy in this stylish salon is calm, relaxing and fun. I had a pedicure and decided to try gel nails, which I am thrilled with - and NO heavy fumes! The workers are all friendly and you don't feel like they are saying negative comments in another language as you are sitting there. They serve you a petite tray of fresh fruit and a drink - oh yes, and did I mention you can have a cocktail! Love, love, love this place. Love, love, love! The pedicures are amazing, and they treat you like a queen. You get a plate of melon and a beverage to enjoy while there. Jimmy even stayed open late on a week night to accommodate a bridal party, for no extra charge. I called to make an appointment and they were able to get me in same day despite having some large groups coming. The place was very clean and had the nicest pedicure chairs I've ever been in. They serve you a complimentary plate of fresh fruit and beverage of choice which makes you feel like you're really being pampered. The woman doing my pedicure was friendly but only spent about 30 minutes on mine and was done before a lady who started about 10 minutes before me. After she put my final coat of polish on she got up and walked away without a word and never came back. I had to crawl down and get my shoes and look around for where to pay...it was a little odd but overall a nice experience. My pedicure didn't even last a week but it was very well done while it lasted. Great place to stop if you're shopping in Fairhaven or having a girls day! read more

I really don't like leaving negative reviews and believe it or not, this is my first. I knew Jimmy's was more expensive than other places but I had a gift card. I went in for a shellac french manicure. $50! The price is absurd though the manicure was equal to what I've gotten elsewhere. That said, they DID NOT sanitize the utensils. The manicurists just popped it back into her plastic box. Also, I felt like I was in a Vietnamese hen house - about six employees chatting LOUDLY and laughing from the front to the back of the store. I, the customer, was completely invisible. It seems though they have regular clientele. Several people came in and were greeted by name. Atmosphere is nice. Modern. You look out on a Fairhaven street and, of course, the location is wonderful for lunch or afternoon shopping. That said, I can find better ways to spend $50 and equally if not better manicures elsewhere. read more

I've been coming to Jimmy's for years and I would never go anywhere else. Excellent pedicures complete with massage chair, fruit, and drink of choice (full service bar!). The eyebrow wax and shape are perfect and the atmosphere is relaxing. Price is reasonable for the service. Highly recommend Jimmy's! read more

I do agree that their products are wonderful and the little snacks were fun but -- I've had better pedicures at the Bellingham Beauty School. At the end of the pedicure I pointed out that there was a spot on my foot that still had dry skin (and I don't have really dry yucky feet!) and the gal just rubbed a little lotion on and that was supposed to be good. They were really pushy to reschedule another appointment and to up it to include a manicure. Overall, too pricy for what I got! read more

This was the absolute worst bikini wax I have ever had! I have been waxing for years and was visiting Bellingham and decided to try them. The lady that did the wax " Jimmy's sister I guess?" she applied burning hot wax on my skin repeatedly.Then the door swings open while I am undressed and another staff member comes in and begins talking to the lady doing my wax and is staring at me while I'm getting waxed?????? If that wasn't bad enough I had the worst rash and burnt skin for days!It was awful. NEVER GET A WAX HERE PERIOD! I went to Jimmy's for the first time recently and won't ever go back. Question? Why is it that only good reviews are immediately shown? With a little research I found not everyone is happy with Jimmy's. I will say that the salon is attractive, very clean and the employees are friendly enough. And it's in Fairhaven - what could be better, right? With more than two or three clients in the room, the atmosphere quickly becomes cluttered and a bit like you're tripping over shoes and handbags, a little invasive, not at all relaxing. I was there with a group of 5 friends, reservations had been made a couple of weeks in advance, but we had to wait about 20 minutes until they cleared Pedi-chairs for us. Awkward because they were rushing the clients in the chairs to move - I know I wouldn't have liked to be on their end of that experience. Once we were all seated with toes soaking and feeling a little more relaxed, we were offered wine and a small fruit platter, which was very nice. As for the Pedicure, I can't say it was the worst (end result) I ever received, but it most definitely was the shortest and didn't include any type of massage at all - on any part of our legs and/or feet (this wasn't just my experience, but all 5 of us). The job looked decent and lasted about a week . . . . . Unacceptable! I had also made an appointment to have a gel (French) manicure. I'd requested they not to use the 'bright white' tip - they showed me a softer color that looked perfect. As the technician was prepping my own nails, which were short, but filed straight across exactly how I like them, she used nail nippers literally cutting the corners of my nails making them not straight across anymore, but odd shaped and sharp on the sides (not oval, not rounded, just odd). I've had this done on a pedicure, but NEVER my nails. Now, I'm not a nail person by trade, but everything I've been taught and have read says NOT to cut your cuticles or file (or cut) the sides of your nails, because it causes them to split and break. And I can tell you - it sure does! My heart sank to the floor and I was literally in shock at this point - I had no words, and for those who know me, that's not an easy thing to accomplish. The technician then applied one (maybe two) 'very thin' coats of gel, let the light machine do its magic and called it good. I expected a light pink topcoat to give them a more finished look, but nothing more was added. I should have said something at this point, but like the pedicure, the gel manicure was also done fast and I was still in shock over my cut nails. I paid my $80 bill, tipping $20 (for both Mani/Pedi) and left. In a daze . . . . . Unacceptable! As a side note, It's been almost 2 months since my nails were done at Jimmy's and my nails are splitting, breaking and a real mess. For the final nail in the coffin of my Jimmy Mani/Pedi experience; someone at Jimmy's took it upon themselves, without my authorization or knowledge, to add $6 for the wine/fruit they 'forgot' to charge me before I left that day. Isn't that illegal? How can a business just add an amount to a bill and think that's okay? It's not about paying for the wine, which I was happy to do, and probably would have remembered to mention it myself, had I not been in a state of shock when leaving. But I don't consider it good business sense to (after the fact) charge a customer like that - without a call for authorization from me . . . . . . And BTW, they did this to another person there with me that day as well. . . . Unacceptable! I won't ever be back to Jimmy's and you can bet, I got my 'words' back and every person I know has heard this story. read more

A last minute treat for my visiting Mom and I to get a manicure. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a friendly smile, warm atmosphere and outstanding service. I was very impressed with the plate of fresh fruit we were presented and beverage of choice, quite the impression. Given there is no chemical smell whatsoever when you walk in, I felt I actually wanted to eat/drink and relax! I was very impressed with the products as they are all organic. This was so great to hear after my Mom ended up with 3rd degree chemical burns from a salon back in NY during a pedicure. Her skin required something so gentle. Jimmy was also fabulous with explaining what products my Mom should look for, what to stay away from to avoid additional chemical burns as well as their sanitation process at his salon. I am SO impressed and this was by far the best experience I've had ever! I will absolutely go back and look forward to trying other services, such as their facial! Don't be discouraged when you see the prices might be slightly higher, it's TOTALLY worth every penny! read more

After having a less than ideal experience about a year ago, I thought I would give Jimmy's another chance as I was treating a special lady for her bridal shower. I had called and left a message for a reservation and never got a return call after three days. I called again and made a reservation for 4 people. When we arrived, the woman told us that we had to sit separately as they were very busy. I explained that I had made a reservation twice and finally the owner came out and said they would take care of it. That meant that they made two other women move seats in the middle of their service! It was awkward. Once seated, my foot bath had a floating piece of nail polish in it which was gross. The water was cold and they just said they were out of hot water, no apologies. I was under the impression that pedicures should last about an hour including foot soaking time. We were in and out in about 29 minutes. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service and will NEVER go back. For as much as they charge, it should be a higher end experience, this was sub-par. Also, the women performing the service were talking so loud to each other, we couldn't speak with each other. So disappointing! read more
