This was my first time as a Jim's Auto Body Shop customer and I enjoyed doing business with them. My car was broken into and the rear passenger window was broken; Thus needing to be replaced. Ryan (Jim's Auto Body), Dave (Enterprise), and Chris (GEICO) were absolutely superb in taking care of me and getting me out within a couple of hours. Upon return to my vehicle a week later, I noticed the extreme attention to detail and labor going into my car. Ryan and the other staff members were absolutely professional and went above and beyond what any auto body shop would do. After narrowly avoiding being in the middle of a 3-car collision sandwich on the freeway, my poor car came out with a caved in backside. It's the kind of bang up where you cannot fully open or close the trunk without some manner of pushing or pulling. I was pretty bummed about it, thinking the car I bought just last year was never going be the same again. Jim's was recommended by my insurance company; browsing the Yelp reviews and seeing cars come into Jim's and come out as like brand new, I felt like it was worth a shot. It was the first time I'd had to put my car in for autobody work, but Tom helped me understand what the process is and how everything will work. I was quoted about 2 weeks, and offered a shuttle service back to my next destination. About a week and a half later, my car was actually ready! And it really did look as good as new! If it didn't still have some of my belongings in it and the dented license plate in the rear, I would've confused it for a new car, since it even had the new car smell again. They even noticed some problems with the battery and sent it over to the local manufacturer's service department, who confirmed it was bad and had it replaced on warranty. Great! One less thing for me to worry about. When Tom said "we'll take care of your car", he really meant it! Anyway, I'm really happy with the service I received from Jim's autobody. Heaven forbid I get into another collision, but if it happens, these are the guys I will trust with getting my car back into shape! read more

I damaged my car in a parking garage, severely denting & scraping the passenger side 2 doors. Thus us the very first time I have personally worked w a repair shop, previously my husband did it. My insurance company, State Farm had Jims on their list. From my first phone call to Jim's to the finished product, I had a great experience. The check in person was very kind, efficient and patient. When Hertz failed to pick me up as scheduled, an employee of Jim's drove me to Hertz. All during the repair weeks? Junior would call me every week with an update. There was a delay, Toyota had sent the wrong part. Junior was always professional, listened well & informed me of what was happening. When I picked up my car it had been cleaned & looked great! Junior helped me move my hinge, including 2 Childrens car seats, to my Toyota. I couldn't find my CA Fastrak & Junior looked up & down for it. Then I realized I had already taken out! He didn't bat an eye, just was glad to hear it! They called Hertz to pick up their car, I didn't even have to bother with it! I highly recommend Jim's Auto! read more

My car window and door frame was broken/shattered by car vandals in the area. They did a great job fixing my window and buffing out scratches caused by the break in. My car was gone in total for 4 days and the only issue wasn't their fault as they were sent the wrong part by the manufacturer. They kept me updated along the way and let me know how much I was going to owe after insurance before I came to pick it up. My car looks good and I can't tell they it was ever had any damage to the window. read more

First off, this place deserves a million stars. My 2012 Acura TSX was hit on its side and I thought my car was completely done for. The guy who helped me (I wont say his name) was open for any questions I had and his customer service was amazing! My car came out looking brand new in less time than I anticipated. When my car was hit on December 17th, I contacted my insurance carrier, and they had several Body Shops listed that they recommended. Jim's Auto Body is near where I work, so I selected them. The rep who I met when I took my car in was Dana Auld, My only regret in writing this is that I can only give 5 stars, when I would give 10 if I could. The level of friendly professionalism that I experienced from the woman at the reception desk, to Dana's working with me, to the guys in the back who made my car look as close to brand new as possible, was as excellent as anyone could ever hope for. Second time that we have been here due to someone doing damage to rear of one of our vehicles. Both times service has been professional with excellent communication and quality work. Marco from Jim's worked seamlessly with Geico (other driver's insurer in latest incident) which is right next door, to make this very easy for me. Enterprise shares the office with Geico, so it is literally a single stop for Geico/Jim's estimate and rental car pick-up/drop while work is done. Car was nicely detailed inside and outside for pick-up, a very much appreciated final touch! Definitely prefer Jim's over the few other places we have had to use over the years. read more

Got there to repair a dent form someone honest to leave a note on my windshield "Sorry brushed your car Ph# XXXXXXXXX " Estimate was lightning fast. Did not care much about the price as i have not payed for it form my pocket. The car was done in few days. Very good paint job, I was only able to find tiny small bubble which is visible only if you stare at it the only note: please ask em to be careful with tire shine dressing. they have washed the car to sparkling clean and dressed the tires - but in 2 days all that dressing was on sides of my car .... yack ! when i came back and asked about it - got all washed off within 10 min with sincere apology :) SO, they know what they do with repairs, outstanding job, but truly hope not to see em again :) read more

I have been a patron of Jim's for over a decade. My visits to Jim's have almost alway been as the result of an accident. I have taken 4-5 vehicles in for repair. Every visit has been met with the highest standard of customer care. Two shining examples come to mind: Honda USA recalled my Odessy for a paint defect but refused to cover the cost of the trim piece in the area where the paint was bad - Jim's replaced and installed the piece at not cost. I recently had a problem with a repainted bumper on a car i just purchased. I didn't feel that the body shop that did the work did a very good job. I took the car to Jim's with no appointment and the manger Darren stopped what he was doing and offered to send a representative from the WC store ( the car was on a lot nearest the WC store) to give an opinion. Robert from the N. Main Street store came right over and thoroughly inspected the car provided examples of similar situations on other cars that were on the lot. Problem wa solved quickly. Dana and staff did a really terrific job in fixing up my 2006 Toyota Corolla that was rear-ended a few weeks ago. I took advantage of this time to fix up the front bumper too. Dana handled everything entirely seamlessly from the time I dropped off my car until pick up....everything handled well and the quality of work is 100% first Class! I don't usually write reviews on yelp but I was so pleased with the service here (and not expecting to be, given past bad experiences with auto body shops) that I had to sing their praises! I had damage to my hood from a tree that fell onto my car; Geico sent me here for the repair. Marco was *exceptionally* good at communicating the status of the work. He left me a voicemail every day with an update about the status of the parts on order and any changes to the estimated completion date. He was right on target, the work was completed in less than a week. And I can't believe I never had to call to check-in, because I got a status update each day! The repair itself is flawless, the paint job is perfect (better than the rest of my car tbh), you'd never even know the hood is not original. Don't waste your time anywhere else, this is the location to come to when you need a repair! read more

I took my 2016 Challenger to Jim's after somebody pushed a shopping cart into the side of it. Originally they said they would paint the passenger door, rear quarter panel and blend the front fender. They called me everyday to update me on the status of my car and then said they were not happy with the blend and painted the front fender also. I called and was given an Estimator, Steve Scott. Let me tell you, he reviewed my damages, he and I committed to getting the best used part, he said he would call me when the part arrived. Mr. Scott did everything he told me he would do. The vehicle was repaired to the best original condition as before the accident. I was so happy with the results. Too many fixed cars to even get into the good the bad and the ugly, however, one thing I want to mention is that at Jim's, it's smooth sailing from the time you walk in their office in concord, CA, and stays calm and stress free for you.. all from start to finish, when you pick up your repaired car and happily drive it back home. I really can not thank them enough for the spectacular work they have done and the good timing they are always able to achieve. Sometimes life's gives you lemons -throws you curve balls- and unfortunately sometimes accidents as well. They finished a day early and my car was sparkling clean upon its return. They are conveniently located next door to Enterprise and across the street from Hertz. Friendly people and good customers service, but bad quality from the technicians. I brought my 04 Mercedes Benz there for a minor dent and little scratches on the side. I can definitely tell where the technician worked on the car. The area they fixed is more shiny then the hole car. I would not go there again. Also the alignment they did in Big O Tires was ridiculous! I took the car in the dealership for an alignment the same day I picked it up from Jim's Auto and guess what, the alignment was off! So shady and shameful, there are still shops like that one! Pretending and charging for staff they haven't done right! read more

Sigh I had such high hopes for this place based on the wonderful reviews. Too bad I don't feel the same about this place. I walked in and there were about four people sitting at desks- the woman closest to the door was actually helping someone. Not a single person greeted us or asked us if we needed help. Ok- maybe they're busy I said to myself. So my husband and I sat down and waited. Then we waited some more. We were in direct view of the staff but nobody even approached us though they saw us. Finally 7 minutes later a white guy walks in. The lady, who I mentioned earlier was helping somebody, immediately perks up, full attention, and asks the gentlemen, "Hi do you need help?" WTF? We walked through the same door without so much of an upward glance! Being Asian and on the short side I might assume that I could have slipped her eye- or anyone else for that matter. But my husband is on the bigger side, and we were totally bypassed. So we stood up, and my husband said, "lets go elsewhere." Still no response from the staff. Busy or not, I work in an environment where I always acknowledge somebody who comes through our door- regardless of what they look like, smell like, or act like. And even if I'm busy helping somebody else, I can always manage to grab a coworker who is not busy to help whoever walked through the door. read more

I wasn't going to share a review on Jim's as the service was neither extremely poor or remarkably good in the beginning, that was until this morning. I initially had a vehicle in for front end damage. First issues I had were immediately when the camera & windshield washers didn't work following repair along with a panel that was not attached fully. No issue at that point as they took care of these mistakes quite quickly, or so I thought. Fast forward to me realizing that the right front grill didn't match the left and the window washers were not repaired properly and continue to fail, I also found a tool left in my engine compartment. I stopped by and was told they would order the parts and take care of it. As of then I was very relaxed and not too bothered by their mistakes. About a month went by and I heard nothing. Finally while away on vacation I received a call to say the parts were in and we could schedule the repairs. I called this morning after my return and was told by Christian that because they didn't hear from me they sent the parts back...... So in a rather accusatory manner this is apparently my fault for being on vacation. They called me one time and left a single voicemail and off the back of that sent the parts back. Great customer service right? They gave me one chance to answer the phone in order to fix their mistakes and then gave up. I would stay away and find work elsewhere. If you use Geico for insurance find out what other body shops they deal with. Have a great day read more

Hate this place. Receptionist perks up for guys but i wait for 10 mins. Aftermarket fender is crooked and slightly bigger than the original which they switched out bc of cost. Suggested to lift hood in corner so aftmrk fender "fits". Replaced mirror is plasic, light, and rattles. Found scratches that were not there. Did not do a walk around when releasing car. Made the mistake of paying before looking. Brought is back several time. Distraught. read more

From start to finish, staff (Paul) was very efficient, friendly, and extremely helpful in taking care of everything including working with my insurance company. They made the process so fast and simple. I appreciated the updates via phone on the status my repairs and estimated time of completion. I was out of town when my car was completed and they held my car in storage for about a week at NO COST! I've used Jim's now for 3 different accidents, but this was my first time using the Concord branch. I don't know if I just caught them on an off period or what, but I'm now on my 3rd re-visit to have repairs made that they either forgot or did wrong. Dana looked at my car and gave me an estimate. He walked me through the process about getting a rental car, and gave me a list of repairs and the estimated time to get it done. He gave me a call sometime during the week to let me know the exact cost. Even though it was not needed since the ins. co was to take care of all the cost, I appreciated his keeping me updated on the repair process. We purchased a Yukon many years ago after a friend driving a Suburban was hit by another driver. She and her passenger walked away. The driver and the passenger in the other car were taken to the hospital. This year we've been backed into twice, and run into on the freeway by someone who changed lanes while changing stations on his radio. Traffic in the lane he was moving into was stopped. He didn't notice til he hit us, hard. The Yukon was dented, bumper damaged. His car was a mess. So, we are enthusiastic and repeat customers of Jim's Auto Body. The office appears to have once been a residence. It is clean, open, with a nicely furnished waiting area. All of the people are professional. The repairs have each been excellent. I was sent to this shop by my insurance company after an accident. Steve from JIm's Auto Body was very friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions about the car and the process of getting it fixed through insurance. He even worked with me to find some used parts to keep the cost down. Steve called when he said he would and made sure I always knew what was going on with my car. When I came to pick up my car he even gave me some swag (pens, travel mug, water bottle).
