Classic sub shop. I enjoyed the softness of their bread and they have decently sized sandwiches. I got the TJ Submarine special and it was great. Affordable and great for a quick bite. 4+ mom and pop type spot located in a strip mall that specializes in hot and cold sandwiches/ subs. They have a fryer here so they do items like fried seafood (including sandwiches and items like fish and chips, etc.). Couldn't decide what I wanted for lunch the other day and this popped up on my radar. Came in on the later side after most lunch time for most people so it wasn't busy at all and plenty of parking. Was greeted by a friendly, helpful person when I came in. I decided on the Nena sub, which was one of the specials of that particular day. This is basically their version as the loaded up, Italian meats sub. The prices here are more than reasonable, especially when you consider the size of the sandwiches. The bread is fresh and soft. Definitely a great sandwich / lunch spot that could easily be a rotational player in the area. read more

Very good the bread makes the difference very old looking place which is a plus the cashier said it's been here for 50 years! The clam chowder was OK, probably wouldn't get that again however the sandwiches are very good. I would come back if in the area the overall experience was very pleasing. read more

The customer service was great ! The hostess even said I can phone in my order next time... however ... unfortunately I don't think there will be a next time. I got the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and the bacon tasted old! As if it has been cooked days prior. I definitely would not return to this joint. The inside is very outdated, but I suppose that is the aesthetic they're going for... but it's genuinely old. Definitely not the worse sandwich place but also I would not recommend to my friends. read more

This spot is in a small plaza area so there's available parking. There's a menu at the counter for you to browse before ordering. I ordered the ham, bacon, and cheese sub. The small is perfect size to fill you up. I thibk next time, I wouldn't get the peppercinis in it. I was the only customer when I went in so the lady was quick with my sub. But overall p good. It's a tiny hole in the wall, just how I like it. Made to order. Just one worker. I got the coppocola and cheese sub with French fries and pink lemonade. It was great. I loved it. Side of ranch and hot sauce. Delicious. They have a huge menu! I wanna try their meatball sub next time. If you like an old fashioned deli, you'll love this place. I didn't need the fries! This review is based on my first visit to Tj's. Me and my wife both got the philly cheese with avocado with a side of fries. Both of us really enjoyed our sandwiches because the bread was toasted and warm. The meat was plentiful and the perfect meat ratio with the onions, mushrooms and other fresh veggies. The owner was super nice and helped us navigate through the menu and decide on a warm sandwich of our liking. This is the kind of place that'll make forget about subway and all the other chain sandwich places that cost around the same. I highly recommend trying the philly cheese with avocado and mushrooms. Also get some fries!! read more

So I was next door, fixing my Ram's football jersey at Lee's embroidery shop, when I found this place. I was first apprehensive when I saw this place, but was starving, and sometimes these little Mom & Pop stores are hidden gems. Well after eating here, this gem shined pretty bright. What a pleasant surprise. My hot roast beef sandwich was of average size, but very flavorful, the roll was was fresh, lightly crusty, but soft on the inside. The female staffer was really nice and friendly, offered me a free ice tea, while waiting. Bonus points for her and the offer. Kind of enjoyed this sandwich, better than Subway. With the above average sub, I'll definitely be back for my sandwich cravings. read more

I have no clue what the deal is with these sandwiches from TJ Subs, but geez, these sandwiches are just SOOOOO incredibly delicious. I have ordered sandwiches for my work twice now, and each time, everyone just wants to keep eating more and more sandwiches from this place. We ordered the SUPER, which includes turkey, ham, roast beef, lettuce, pepperoncinis, lettuce, etc. and NY Sub, which has some sort of salami and other meats. Everyone just gobbled them right up! Can someone please pinpoint the reason as to why these subs are just so darn good and addicting please? My company and I do not know what they do to their sandwiches despite them looking like ordinary sub sandwiches, but they're just so inexplicably delicious! Definitely support this location, as there's a reason as to why people rate this submarine place with great reviews! Maybe you'll know what makes these sandwiches delicious. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for at least 12 years. In one simple conversation they have lost a customer. The day started when we ordered 2 sandwiches and asked for no mayo and mustard but oil and vinegar. We got the sandwiches and to our surprise there was only meat cheese and bacon. No toppings like onions. We were extremely disappointed so we called the store and the daughter said that that is what we said we wanted and we can take the sandwiches back. We said no and we were just disappointed since we have been going there for years and left it like that. This is the part that caused them to loose a loyal customer. The owner called back and told us it is not their fault because that is what we ordered. We calmly told her that is not what was ordered. It kept going back and forth with the owner raising her voice to us. This is sad that all they had to say was I am sorry there was a mixup. Don't tell the customer it's not their fault. That is the moment we decided never again. read more

Personally impressed with the sandwiches here! Bread tasted super fresh and so did the meats and veggies. I'm always a fan of mom and pop shops that provide great food. It does get a little hot unfortunately, so not the greatest dine in atmosphere BUT well makes up for it with the freshness and taste! I went in here ordering some sandwiches for work and everyone said their sandwiches were really good. I did think they skimmed a bit on the pastrami but the daily special I had was perfectly proportioned and stuffed to the brim! Try it out if your a sandwiche lover! read more

Small store in a shopping center off hacienda. I visited for the first time and paid cash. Then decided I wanted a drink and could only pay with my card since I didn't have anymore cash. The woman at the cash register let me take it and pay her next time. In good faith. That doesn't happen often. The food here is delicious. Sandwiches here are authentic. Bread is always fresh, never stale. Their hot sandwiches and hot foods (wings, spaghetti) are especially appetizing in my opinion. My favorite sandwich is the shrimp sandwich, definitely not disappointing. Overall a great place to eat. I love that it's a small family owned business because it means that they care about every sandwich they make, unlike local places like subway and Togo's. Highly recommended! read more

I paid for this nasty, sour broth i cant even finish bc it is so gross and taste fermented. Aside from the mushy pasta, the eggplant ricotta was ok. The marinara sauce they use is way too salty. Again, must be bc they dont taste what they cook. In total i spent around $50, and the food is disappointing enough that i wont be returning.

Their sandwiches are awesome. I don't know how they do it, but the price is right and the amount of food you get is HUGE compared to subways. Seriously, they should put up a picture of a sandwich from subway and their own, and put it up on a billboard. It's that significant!! I'm a big fan of their shrimp sub (you have to try it!!) and philly cheese. He doesn't make eye contact with you while you're ordering and does not actively listen to your order at all. He messed up my order. When I requested onion rings, he gave me fries. Instead of honoring my original request and apologizing for the mistake, he mumbled, "I didn't hear that" and had my boyfriend pay the difference of 2 dollars for the onion rings. Hospitality and kindness can go a long way in situations like this and he has missed the mark. I am more than happy to support small community based businesses when they hold themselves to a good standard and appreciate the patronage they receive, especially when we were nothing but cordial. I hope this review changes things around.
