I have used this company for RH outlet furniture and for regular moving. They were great every time. Someone in the reviews said they scam you. I want to say having used them 3 times this is absolutely not my experience. They give a quote and stick to it. But once they gave a quote range because it depended on circumstances and fitting in the home. They charged the top of the range but they still didn't go over what they quoted. As you know, RH furniture is super heavy. These guys are wizards at getting them through staircases hallways and door frames. No idea how they do it but I would definitely recommend and go to them over and over again if I needed to. read more

Wow! My mom moved to Havasu and had some furniture she couldn't take with her so I called Home Consignment Store to consign the rest of her furniture. I needed someone to pick it up and they had movers that picked up the furniture. Jim's moving company. Jim's Moving company said they would be to her house between 8-12pm. Well they showed up at 8:30am!! And they called at 7:45 am to let me know they would be there by 8:30. Now this is a first for us. Most people when they say 8-12 they show up around 12. And we had to drive an hour to her house it was nice to have them show up on time. So we didn't have to wait around for hours at a semi empty house. Both guys that showed up were super nice. And they were done in less then a house. Super fast and efficient. And very considerate. I asked for their card because I would use them again. read more

Jim's Moving Company completely ghosted us for our move. Our mover promised he'd be here at 4pm to move our items. We even confirmed the day beforehand. On the day of, He ignored several phone calls, texts, etc. and never showed up. The business wouldn't answer our calls either. Awful communication, very unprofessional, and terrible service. UPDATE: After posting this review, the mover decided to call us and said he "had no idea what happened and didn't see us on his schedule." We were already bailed on by movers once. I had two very large and heavy dressers that I needed to have brought up from the 1st floor to the second floor, with a relatively tricky stairway. Contacted Jim's Moving Company and they were out the next day and were able to handle the job with ease. Wore masks and took all necessary precautions both with PPE, and my brand new painted walls and railings, as well as my new floors and stairs. This company was highly recommended by RH outlet. But frankly I could not have been more disappointed. Communication was poor; they didn't answer the phone and the only method of communication was text message. I thought they were also quite expensive for the amount of time and effort expended; there are much better alternatives. Lastly, the delivery personnel were unwilling to wear shoe covers; RH customer's are going to expect that as opposed to having people wear dirty shoes into their house. We recently worked with the Home Consignment Center to consign some furniture/artwork that we no longer needed and they sent Jim's Moving Company to pick it up. We were given a 2 hour window for when they would arrive and the guys called me when they were 10 minutes out. A two man team introduced themselves to me, shook my hand (friendly & a nice touch) then we went through what they were taking. They moved everything carefully and were in and out very quickly. I'm not sure what the normal rates are but with the consignment store the cost is 75/hr and that was all I was charged, 75 bucks....when I had Starving Students move a bed set for me a few years ago, it cost me closer to $500 (granted they had to drive 20 minutes and these guys had to drive maybe 12). I needed a moving company to help deliver a dining room table. Table was purchased in Irvine and I needed it delivered to La Mirada. I called Jim's Moving company Friday evening and the friendly gentleman on the other end said he could have it delivered the very next day. Movers called me 15 minutes prior to arrival and upon arrival these guys were super nice and friendly. They helped move my old table out of the way and quickly replaced it with our new table. I had some furniture they took to a consignment shop and later delivered it back because it didn't sell. I saw the furniture before it was sent back and watched them deliver it They dropped my armoire on the staircase because one of the guys was holding it by the doors and the hinges popped out. They thought I didn't notice and told me it came that way. I argued a bit but decided I'd get a professional repairman in once they left. My house was under construction and in chaos so I just wanted them gone. They also left two glass tops behind that I used to protect the tables. I called them and they said they were never there. Company did a great job for me and got me out of a bind. We were moving from our home and only had hours to be out before we needed to hand over the keys to new owners. Our movers said they couldn't move a mirrored dresser I had upstairs because it was too heavy and they couldn't get it down our spiral staircase. It was a Sunday afternoon and I was panicked I was going to have to leave it behind (it's my favorite piece of furniture). I called Jim's movers on Sunday around 1 and they had 2 movers with a truck at my house within an hour. The guys were super courteous and moved everything our other movers couldn't with no problem at all. After having a great experience with Jim's Moving through Home Consignment Center, I called them to empty out a room my previous movers had haphazardly filled out into the hallway. I called one day and they were out at my house the next, two polite gentlemen that did exactly what I needed done without a complaint. They even bolted together my dining table my previous movers had said was missing the bolts - it wasn't. They still accomplished everything within an hour and at a reasonable rate. My sister also contacted this company for a small local move and was quoted 119/hour, but when she called back to finalize the move date, they increased their rate to 129/hour with no explanation as to why. read more

I do not recommend Jim's Moving for house moving though it may work for pieces of furniture moving. First, it was 4 hours late from the appointment time, so I had to move at night. Secondly, they only offer 2 men and followed the furniture moving rules, and it took 4 hours to load and arrive at my new place in the same zip code! I'd never seen this moving speed. Thirdly, the expense was way too higher than I expected, almost $500! 4 more men came to help at 10pm, and it speeded up unloading and assembling the furnitures, however, they charged you $190 more just for 30min, which was not negotiable!
