At my previous apartment, we stayed for a while to make sure everything was going smoothly before driving to our new place. When we left, the crew appeared to have already moved the majority of our belongings out. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to the new apartment, plus another 20 minutes to get settled and make sure our cat was safe. An hour after we had left, I received a call saying they had just finished loading the truck and were only then heading to our new apartment. Given how much had already been completed before we left, that timeline didn't make sense to me and left me questioning how efficiently the remaining work was being done. Another frustrating part of the experience was that, at both the pickup and delivery locations, the movers repeatedly asked me where they should park the moving truck. I don't drive commercial moving trucks, and I hired professionals because I expected them to know how to handle those logistics. I was also told that if they received a parking ticket, I would be responsible for paying it, which I found unreasonable. Once they arrived at the new apartment, the pace continued to feel unnecessarily slow. There were multiple trips carrying only one or two small items at a time. Eventually, my partner and I started helping unload our own belongings because we wanted to get the move finished. We also noticed several bathroom breaks throughout the job, which only added to the feeling that the process was taking much longer than necessary. The final interaction left a bad impression as well. I fully intended to leave a tip for good service, but before I even had the chance, one of the movers repeatedly asked for cash after I had already explained that I didn't have any. Being pressured for a tip at the end of an already disappointing experience felt unprofessional. Moving is already stressful, and I hired professionals hoping to make the day easier. Instead, I left feeling that the job took much longer than it should have, communication was poor, and the overall experience did not justify the cost. I can't recommend this company based on my experience.

I had already packed about 99% of my stuff, so they mainly needed to wrap furniture and box a few larger items I didn't have boxes for. They worked fast but were extremely careful. They loaded the entire truck in about 3.5 hours, which was impressive considering I was moving from a house to a house and had a lot of furniture. The unloading in Las Vegas was even more impressive. They finished in about 2 hours, including putting two beds back together. One of them was a heavy Sleep Number bed with the base, and I honestly don't know how they managed to get it down the stairs in California and back up the stairs in my new house without a scratch. No damage to anything. Rob was the lead on the crew and did a great job communicating the whole time, asking where things should go and making sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. The whole team was friendly, respectful, and easy to work with. The price was also very fair for the distance, especially compared to other quotes I got. Overall, this was one of the least stressful moves I've had. I would definitely use TopCare Movers again, and my brother is already planning to use them for his move in May. Highly recommend.

So I wish this was lower than 1 star because the service by Jim (personally) and his company. First off he was very rude and told me that he was going to deliver my furniture when they are "on their way" to there own location. Now arriving to my apartment they moved my furniture which some of the furniture had scuff marks saying "it came that way" now once complete it took a total of 15 minutes. Once complete I was under the impression it was $75 being that it was a very quick move. In total they charged me $120 for them and said because they had to drive Aliso Viejo to Costa Mesa (20 min drive) taking my furniture and getting it to the house they upcharged me . And when trying to tell them that none of that makes any sense they told me "do what you got to do" very disrespectful and I hope the company that referred them to me (Home Consignment Center) NEVER works with them. read more

Hands down probably one of the worst human beings i have ever met in my life. Verbally abusive also has threatened me with violence on multiple occasions. This man thinks intimidation is his key to success just a simple low down thug anyone who's empowering him and his business should really have a good look in the mirror and reflect on themselves. I am extremely disappointed with Jim's moving I tried to contact them for over a week, both by phone and email, and never received a response. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, I was completely ignored. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service is unacceptable. Was just driving next to one of their moving trucks on the 405 southbound near harbor and the driver was tailgating me and driving erratically next to a semi. He the proceeded to speed and jump/cut off multiple people to get to the fast lane. Idk how their service for moving is but I'd bet if they're driving like that, then your stuff will get broken for sure. 0/10 do not recommend. read more

The Good: As movers, they're quick and efficient. They got the job done with minimal issue…read more(nothing was lost or damaged), so no complaints there. The Bad: John, the owner, is at best careless and at worst dishonest. I read the other negative reviews here, and that all seems pretty on-brand. He will bully you into accepting his shady practices. PDQ moved my stuff twice. The first time, John pressured me into signing a document saying they wouldn't be liable for anything damaged during the move. When I questioned him on this, he seemed offended that I would even ask and assured me that if he damaged anything he would pay for it out of pocket just because he would "feel bad." Then why have me sign a document? He just wanted me to take his word. I caved and signed it, and luckily nothing was damaged during the move. They moved my stuff into his buddy's storage, which he claimed would be prorated if I didn't use the whole month (it wasn't) and I could pay by credit card (I couldn't). The second time they moved my stuff, John brought an extra mover just so he could get "in and out" quicker (the rate for an additional mover was not worth the time it saved me). Then, his incorrect math overcharged me 0.5 hours (see attached photo). He was rushing me to sign the check, so I didn't bother to check his math (my bad, but still...). I didn't catch this error until I was going through old documents years later. 0.5 hours at $225/hour is... well, a lot of money. Terrifying Moving Experience -- Stay Away…read more This was hands-down the worst move of my life. What should have taken 2-3 hours turned into a 10+ hour nightmare ending at 12:30 AM. One of the movers repeatedly pressured me for more money, invented extra fees, and even brought a child to help him move heavy furniture -- completely unsafe and unacceptable. He disappeared mid-move for over an hour, spoke down to me, and left his pants at my apartment (which he came back for late at night -- terrifying). I hired movers to make things easier, but ended up more involved and stressed than if I had done it myself. The company's response to all of this was dismissive and their refund offer insulting. Avoid this company at all costs.

Some things to point out, I shopped around and got quotes from 5 companies and clean cut movers came in as the lowest. They were super easy to work with and very responsive. From beginning to end (including drive time and a quick lunch break), they were able to pack and move majority of my home (they did more than I expected) in about 9-10 hours and the final cost was a bit lower than I expected it to be. I will definitely hire this company again and will be recommending them to all my friends and family.

Honestly though, these guys are cheaper than just a truck rental in most cases, and an extra set of hands when you need it. Then the clouds separated from the sky and a beam of heavenly light was bestowed on my inbox when 10milemover immediately gave me an awesome flat price and was able to come next day!!! Andy's communication was superb , not only did He text me a time but he actually arrived 15 min early! Unheard of nowadays!! He was much more well prepared then I assumed he'd be with a portable ramp, furniture dolly, ropes, straps, and furniture damage protectors. Now in my mind , I assumed I was just hiring some dude with a truck but was pleasantly surprised at how well Andy had it down. He even took the time to lay a towel down to protect my wood floor, and called after I tipped him to ask if I wanted change back. Now, I almost want to do more dumpster diving just so I can hire him again.
