Really enjoyed Jin BBQ. We came as a group of 11 so had to wait roughly ~20 minutes or so which wasn't too bad since the alternative would have been 2.5 hours at another place. Menu was extensive and covered all the typical favorites at a Korean establishment. We ordered one of the combos each for our two tables and went from there. Sides were great and kept coming so be sure to eat and reorder. They are part of the meal so you will not be charged extra. The daikon radishes were amazing and was a nice alternative to the lettuce wraps I usually do with my grilled meats. Meats are fresh and really delicious - the pork belly and bulgogi were on point. One thing to consider is you will be cooking your own meats here so be sure there are 1-2 people that can help with that as it can get a bit smokey. The meat quality here is very good and everything tasted excellent! This is the best Korean BBQ experience I've had as compared to other restaurants in the valley as well as in LA. My primary concern is typically food quality, and I can usually take it or leave it with service unless a business is downright neglectful or rude. However, the amazingly attentive service we received from the manager really put this place over the top. He was very kind and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. I haven't had much Korean BBQ, so this was a fun experience. Yelp steared me right, as JIN BBQ had amazing reviews and in my stomping grounds. We arrived around 6:00PM, so prime dinner time on a weekday night, it was not too busy and we were able to be seated right away. Since I am a beginner, the server was kind enough to walk and explain the process. We opted for the Beef Combo A that includes three meats choices and option of soup. We opted for sliced brisket, bulgogi and skirt steak and Kimchi stew. Once you order, they bring out ALL the fixings and I mean ALL, there was a green onion salad, rice, corn pasta salad, pickles, ginger salad, kimchi, a jicama sort of root wrap, corn cheese and scrambled eggs. The sides are bottomless and Jin BBQ has a button at their tables for guests to push, which is a great touch. They also had seasonings and sauces accessible. The Kimchi stew was delish. It came with sausage, but we did not get too many pieces. The flavor was wonderful though! The meat was tasty, the bulgogi being our favorite! The flavor was on point. Overall, it was delicious! I left full, my husband and I were able to finish everything and a few refills on sides, but it was a good amount for us. We got the size M which is recommended for 2-3. Service was friendly and prompt. They changed out our griddle when it got sticky form sauces, which was a nice touch. There is a LOT going on though, with all the dishes and brief cooking time. It is not something I feel the need to do often, and of course is a higher price point overall, though I am not sure compared to other Korean BBQ businesses. Top of the line Korean BBQ, service was a little lacking. Choose from a selection of meats that you can cook in front of yourself to the perfect temperature. We choose the Jin Combo 1 which ended up being perfect for 3 people. I was originally worried by the lack of a sauce bar but the meat had ample flavor and you could taste the quality of meat without having to add too much to it. Loved the grilled Bulgogi and the boneless short rib. Cooking the meat yourself might get tiresome but it's all part of the experience. Take turns cooking the meat and dishing it out to others. The side dishes are unlimited so you can reorder all the ones you enjoyed! We might have gotten more than enough refills of the turnips and the kimchi. Also ordered a the steamed egg volcano and cold noodle dishes and ended up having left overs to take home. Only downside was that the servers were so busy running around to different tables that you had to literally grab one to add on additional orders or to get your check. The menu looked good and we ended up with the large beef combo and added the Fresh seared pork belly. We ordered other things as well but I don't remember what we ordered. The food came out after a few minutes. The amount of food for the large beef combo was definitely not enough for four people which was probably a good thing we ordered extra on the side. The meat tasted good with and without the salt/oil. There was more to try on the menu but we'll be back in the future to try them. Fantastic place! Although service is a bit slow most days, they aren't the most attentive bunch. This place seasons their meat very well, love all the different flavors! Our favorites are the boneless short ribs, pork belly, jowl and the spicy Bulgogi, as well as the "steamed" eggs. Their salad dressing is also very yummy! We frequent this place atleast two to three times a month. This place may be my favorite Korean BBQ in the Valley. Since their opening, Ive been here a few times, just about once a year and I seem to get the same table every time. On this particular visit, we ordered beef combo for 2. It came with three different beef and 1 style of soup. I came in shortly after my workout and my body was craving proteins. You get to pick what you want from the choices and if you don't know what they are, just ask a server. He explained to us in a way it's easy yo understand and meet was exactly how described. They also have many different kinds of soju and some are sweet. Lychee flavor had just right amount of sweetness to it, it was easy to finish this bottle on my own. A half way through our meal, a server came by to switch to a cleaner grill. We didn't have to ask, they just came and kept bringing things we didn't know we needed. Looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion? Look no further than Jin BBQ! We came for my partner's mom's birthday lunch on a weekend and were seated upon arrival. We brought a cake, and our server took the cake and brought it to the back for us. Ambiance (5/5): This place reminds me of some of the Korean BBQ joints back in California (like Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong) that serve pay-per-plate/combo kbbq meals. Stools were seated around circular or rectangular tables with an exhaust hood in the middle that can lower down to the grill in the middle of your table. Top that off with some kpop music in the background, and you have yourself a nice place to eat and drink to your stomach's desire! Food (5/5): We ordered the Jin Combo #2 with the beef brisket soybean stew and an extra order of beef brisket. Everything came out with a quickness! The banchan (small sides you get with every meal) included kimchi, radish, green onion salad, their house salad, and macaroni salad. All of the above was delicious. We were also given brisket sauce and salt on the side, and we asked for sesame oil to pour on top of the salt. The grill came with steamed egg, corn cheese, and veggies which we refilled numerous times because they complemented the meal so well. Something about steamed egg at Korean restaurants is so addicting! Now onto the combo: the stew was absolutely delicious! It wasn't too spicy (for folks like me that can't take the heat) but it WAS flavorful, umami, and comforting. YUM. All of the meats were fire, too! Great quality with a good balance between fat and lean meat. My favorite is the marinated short rib. My perfect bite would be the marinated short rib dipped in a little bit of salt and sesame oil, with a bite of pickled radish, corn cheese, and steamed egg. I'm craving this place just writing this review! Another thing I love about non-AYCE places is that you can take leftovers home. This combo + the brisket was more than enough for our party of 5 to finish! So glad we got to take our last few bites home. Service (5/5): All of our servers were so friendly and responsive! Empty water pitcher? Refilled with a quickness. Grill changes? Prompt. Someone dropped a chopstick? The servers overheard our squeals and and gave us new ones. Steamed egg was always on deck because of how often they refilled it for us. We never had to request something twice. On top of all of that, since we were celebrating a birthday, they topped our cake with a sparkler and played some birthday music when they brought out the cake! The grill though burned your food fast, compared to other KBBQ places so I hurried in getting the meat out, like the beef brisket had to be a quick on and off, the cheese corn, and also the veggies on the side, especially when you're enjoying the company and talking a lot lol. My friend ate the egg so didn't worry about that burning. I watch a lot of Mukbang videos and I felt I was in making my own video. Because I honestly just love KBBQ. Also this place is better dine in than take-out because there's not a lot of options in the take out. But I can't afford this as it isn't All You Can Eat. My friend and I went that night and I paid bout $200 altogether. It was a good portion of meat, but just the price of it. The food - my friend was grill master since he's been there before and ordered us the Jin combo 1. My favorite was the marinated bulgogi but everything was 10/10, the pickled radish leaf is my new favorite snack. The vibes - the music in here is so good! All the tables are close-ish together but you have plenty of space to have a private conversation without accidentally eavesdropping on your neighbors. The service - It was my first time eating k bbq and I didn't know what to expect but our servers explained everything really well and answered all of our questions. They also made sure to replace our grill top multiple times to avoid charring/smoking which is great since we were there for a while. The business had multiple people helping multiple tables, so there was never a wait for more water or anything really. Came here on a Friday night with a group of ten and we were seated right away. Since we had a lot of people in our group, we decided to order two orders of the Jin combo 2. We weren't sure if it was going to be enough for all of us, but it definitely was. One of our friends who loves grilling was our designated griller at the table, did a great job grilling. Nothing was undercooked or overcooked in the slightest. You could really tell the quality of the meat was on par just by looking at it but especially so once you took a bite. I would say that for the amount of meat that we got and for the quality, the price was fair. Next, the service? Fast and friendly! Our side dishes, volcano steamed egg, and corn cheese were always refilled quickly. Speaking of side dishes, our favorites were probably the macaroni salad, pickled daikon, and the two salads. Writing this just in case anyone was thinking of going with a large group. This is minor, but the only complaint we had was that they didn't have a table big enough to seat all of our party comfortably together. I think the max seating at one of their big tables to sit at comfortably was eight. They tried to split our party up at two tables but since we all wanted to sit together since it was a rare get together for us, we all decided to squeeze into one table. This is a great spot for K BBQ if you are a fan! They are very cautious during Covid time. They even put plastic veils between tables (not sure if this is by request or not)! I'm sure people feel split on the self-service vs server grills topic. But especially during Covid, I don't want someone on the staff at my table constantly. Plus half the fun is grilling your own delicious meats sides! So luckily this is a grill-your-own-food restaurant. We got the beef special and it was spectacular. Best kbbq meat quality you can get in AZ, I have tried many different places and nowhere is as good as here. I always go in big groups so we get the big combo for 150 dollars I believe. It comes with unlimited side dishes my favorite is the corn cheese. The seats are actually stools and so they aren't very comfy but who cares if the food is good. Wonderfully polite and professional service with a great menu selection for dinner and beverages. The very crisp clean atmosphere of this modern Korean restaurant made us feel great. They practice social distancing and wearing of masks for COVID19. We had the Tofu with stir fried spicy pork and kimchi plus the kimchi stew. Ok it was a cold evening and we wanted something warm. The quality was great with excellent flavor. The spicy pork was a quick sauté rather than a stewed version which is the way my wonderful spouse makes it at home so it was not as tender as it could have been.
