I don't eat sushi, however, I took my dad here for a Father's Day treat. He absolutely loved it! Everything he had he said was amazing. He had soup, salad and 4 rolls of sushi. This place is in my top 3 local sushi places which isn't bad. The service is fast and friendly the sushi is very fresh and the prices are reasonable as well. My issue is with the size of the sushi rolls. they are much smaller than the few other places I go. It is a great spot for a quick sushi lunch but peruse my other reviews for my faves! So far not so good. Service is terrible. We ordered soup & gyoza right away. There are only 4 full tables in here yet it took forever to come out. Meanwhile, she still hadn't taken our order. Soup & gyoza were delivered to a table with menus all over it. My miso soup was only half full. I asked for her to fill it up. It came with literally 1 piece of tofu and 1 piece of seaweed. I felt like I was eating a bowl of salty water. Still sitting here waiting for our sushi......still waiting........still waiting.......we're sitting here over 45 minutes so far.......finally got our sushi. It was ok. It took a solid 15 minutes to get our drink order. The sushi was fishy. I ordered Gyoza soup and was asked much later if I wanted it fried or steamed. I've been here several times and had the same waitress and chef - today they were different. I could do with a bit less change here. Went there based on a Yelp review. It's small and clean, with comfortable seating. We went on a Saturday evening at 8 PM. They had one waitress and one sushi chef, and it made the service very slow. With faster service this would be five-star. The food quality was outstanding. Extremely fresh, delicious fish. We each had chef's choice sushi, pretty standard stuff. Salmon, mackerel, halibut, escarole. I also had a Jin Roll. It is not to be missed. Absolutely fabulous. We spent $60 before tip for two people, which included both wine for her and sake for me. By far, the BEST sushi I've had in Florida...and possibly elsewhere for that matter. You'd never know by the decor (can't describe it!) but the food is the best. Great wait staff as well. The server was very attentive with refilling our drinks. It appears to be family owned and operated. I ordered the Chirashi (raw fish over a bed of sushi rice) and it tasted fresh. Not my fave. I don't live in Plantation so it was a first and a last. Came here with my brother and sat on the bar. The menu wasn't that impressive in my opinion. We ordered the Tuna TartTart which was delicious. I ordered all our rolls with soy paper and she even confirmed but got one of our rolls with seaweed and the waitress sits there and argues with me that I didn't tell her soy paper. She was really nice but I hate being blamed for something I didnt do and especially when specified. We also ordered the spicy tuna roll with soy paper which was good but for $8 there was barely any fish in there. In addition to some salmon sushi, I ordered a JB tempura roll and wasn't impressed with the cooked salmon, but I believe that to be a personal preference issue rather than an issue regarding how they prepared it. I love this place! Their sushi is fresh and they have unique rolls such as the kiwi roll and the mango roll amongst other things. The food does take a while to be made but it's really darn good. I've gone here on multiple occasion and the staff is very sweet and friendly. I've recommended and will continue to do so. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they care .75 for eel sauce.
