Came in a little late and was worried that we were causing the staff trouble being close to closing- they were all so polite and our server was incredible! The food was delicious!! Not one bad thing to say. Would definitely be back!

I have lived in China for 5 years so generally everyone warns against then eating Chinese food back in America that's understandable however my family wanted to take me there and their online menu looked nice but upon arrival us was mainly full of the Americanized dishes that's okay. But the food we ordered gave us all stomach aches even before leaving so I don't see much of any reason to go there also they had a dish labeled Sichuan but didn't include a single spicy pepper. I ordered a pot of tea but the server refused to provide tea cups for my 3 family members. My recommendation is stick to the Chinese recipes and cook more fresh sauces it's not too much to ask for and people would like it more. Attached below are the dishes I ordered from the restaurant next to Chinese dishes I learned to cook myself.

In the world of Chinese Restaurants, Jing Chuan holds a special place for me. We were a large party this visit (8) and the service was simple excellent. Comfortable, kind staff, delicious food. And their Mongolian beef sauce, i have never had one i liked more. Another home run.

Hunan Precious, one of my favorite dishes.

Came here on a Sunday around 5:45pm and the place was busy, parking lot was full, there was no waiting though. Very pleasant welcome, and our waitress was phenomenal! Food is absolutely amazing, highly recommend. The place is set up and decorated like a pagoda with bamboo-backed chairs and wooden tables.

I can only think of a couple family-style sit-down Chinese diners in town, besides the usual corner take-out Chinese. Don't give me wrong; every American has days when you need to stuff a carton full of chicken lo mein and binge TV, but sometimes you want Chinese food, and just wanna be able to sit down in front of a nice round table for a meal. I feel like JC is one of them although I have yet to sit on a round table there.. I think it might be possible that they get the stick because of its core demographics. Every time I went to sit down--which has been a handful now, the place was packed with mainly white oldtimers. But take into account the town's makeup, I think it makes sense that majority of clientelle would older white families. I certainly have not seen any Asian families outside of mine, nor too many black families. Now, I'm not bringing up the ethnic makeup of its clientelle to be a racist. A people whom have lived in Toledo area all their lives I've talked to about JC have mentioned that a lot of people seem to have a preconceived notion that JC is maybe not a very authentic Chinese restaurant because "only white people" go there, which I can understand. Generally speaking, if you're looking for "authentic" ethnic food, I'd look for a place that is infested with the same ethnic people. So naturally, if you rarely see Chinese people in a Chinese restaurant, some might get skeptical. Here's my take. JC IS in fact, a legit Chinese restaurant with proper Chinese taste. You just need to get the items NOT from their lunch special menu, but the full house menu. Let me elaborate. First time I came was with my wife. We wanted a combination of a "Korean-Chinese" dish (it's a thing!) and an authentic Chinese dish. We ended up ordering a sizzling rice soup as an apetizer, which was great. We also ended up liking the Chinese dish better than the other. So we decided to get full Chinese menu next time around. The next time was even better with two full Chinese dish and an egg drop soup to share. Believe it or not, the ED soup was THE dish that had us fully convinced about JC. I'll be honest that we both had our preconceived expectations of what an egg drop soup was supposed to taste like, and that it would be next to impossible to mess this up. What we didn't realize was how much better it would taste if done right. JC's version was so much better than any others we'd had. I don't mean to set anyone's expectations crazy high here. It's not like EDS is gonna all of a sudden taste like a shark's fin soup or anything. But if you know anything about cooking, and how changing a simplest ingredient like using chicken stock over water can make or break a dish, you'll know what I'm talking about. It was full of flavor!! I will, however warn you that when I ordered a lunch special dish that came with an egg drop soup, it did not taste the same at all! I'm convinced that they cook different versions of it for lunch because of the amount of servings. Anyway, my family have been going back to try different dishes every time and we've so far been very happy. My next adventure is their Peking duck. It's not offered anywhere else in the area that I'm aware of. It's definitely in the more expensive side of the spectrum compared to nearby cities like Columbus, but I'm willing to give it a shot with hopes that maybe their ducks might be bigger, or they would offer duck bone soup like a proper Peking duck place would. I will definitely come back to review when that happens!

Truly authentic and wonderful. The "go to" Chinese restaurant in Toledo. The interior is getting a bit old, but I go for the food.

Things to do along I-75 N/S to and from the Detroit area (2 of 2)…read more I had to slow down the clock and spend a little time here. The real destination was Detroit. That said, I had coffee at one place, ate a meat loaf lunch at another, pawed the car windows and did some test sitting at a few dealerships, drove around the University of Toledo campus (which I didn't know is a very good school for STEM disciplines), and put the cherry on top of these few hours by visiting the Toledo Botanical Garden. I walked the garden and took photos. It was warm and humid, so I didn't really relax and sit a spell. Like many public gardens, the Toledo Botanical Garden, out toward the western end of the city, mixes up formal garden spaces with European cues and more organic spaces, meaning they are natural in affect and display very little rigid planning. I was fairly amazed how, as you moved along, these different vistas came into view. Everything was cohesively put together and you could enjoy the different environments they've curated for you. The Toledo Botanical Garden is part of the city metro park system, which I learned from other reviews. Thus, being under this umbrella might mean that the park is free of charge ... and it is! For this aspect and for delivering more than I had expected, having pulled it from a "top things to do" list, I believe the Toledo Botanical Garden handily earns 5 stars.

We are here for 5 nights and couldn't be more please with the room! To start we are enjoying dinner at Brim House and Emma ( our waitress) is absolutely amazing!! The bartender, Tim, also made me a special and delicious drink!! Wow! So far so good!! Especially our King corner room with the river view. Day 2, Valet service is a real shit show. Pulled our car up and didn't brush snow off, had our check out wrong, didn't leave our vehicle running, didn't give us the fob so had to go back in. For $32 a night, so far not good. Not happy. Also after we left I received a call from the hotel, the valet had lost a bottle of prescription meds & wanted to know if we could search around the drivers seat for them. So we searched the vehicle & didn't see any meds( but seriously???). Also got 3 different answers on when the Executive Lounge is open from the front desk. Apparently it will be open for breakfast on Friday the 2nd and then closed the weekend. However, Emma our waitress from the night before was our waitress for breakfast and she was fabulous! Her attention to detail and wonder personality makes her great for customer facing service. She should really be the face of the hotel! Day 3- so the valet has lost our vehicle. After telling us it wasn't put in the system correctly & also not having the correct license plate number , they told us to go to the hotel restaurant & breakfast would be on them. That is nice but we have a place to be today as we are here for a friend's wedding and we need to go to the venue for pre wedding stuff. But here we are getting breakfast because we have no vehicle! But the nice part is again, Emma our waitress at the Brimhouse in hotel and also Holly who are both very nice and wonderful. All food pics on this are from Brimhouse in hotel in lobby level. Day 4, went to check out the Executive Lounge, this is the first day we were told it would be open for breakfast and our key didn't work, again. Had to go to front desk and get our key card retapped ( again). They didn't have breakfast at all. Just snacks and a small refrigerator with water and juice. Video shows the Executive Lounge. We also found out that the lounge is only open this morning and won't be open the rest of the weekend. So basically we thought it was nice that we were getting complimentary access and really only are able to enjoy it for one time. We are Diamond with Hilton so we wanted to really see how this hotel does Executive Lounge. Let's just say it leaves a lot to be desired. Hilton lounge would not be closed this long and especially over a holiday weekend. In order to get lounge access, outside of complimentary, one has to be a Titanium level. Honestly I would be so disappointed if I was Titanium and the lounge wasn't open and the " food" was what the video shows. We are supposed to have dinner at Brim house, 6:00pm for a party of 8 people. Stay tuned. Dinner was wonderful at Brim House and Emma was absolutely perfect. Also Thea at the bar was phenomenal! Day 5, wedding day. Bride and groom and in laws arrived last night and now Brim House is hooking me up with coffee and muffins for the bridal suite. Again Brin House has made all the other hotel crazy so worth everything. Once again Emma is taking care of us and I am very appreciative and grateful. Also connected to the hotel is Barry's Bagels and they make their bagels fresh so be sure to check them out. Day 6- checking out about 7:15 am and of course the valet charge was not removed from them losing our car, so that had to be corrected. Otherwise checkout was fine and as expected. A word of caution though to always make sure charges are correct before leaving any hotel as it can be time and challenging to take care of errors after you are home. I know this was a long review but I wanted to be thorough with so much that happened.
