Have been ordering from this location for 3 years. Our orders have slowely been decreasing in quality and quantity. Tonight 2 of our orders were not spicy in the slightest, even with paying extra for spicy sauce. The portion of pork provided was ridiculous for the price. The tonkatsu black was terrible. I want to like Jinya, but ever since they started the mass expansion in the U.S. the food quality and quality control have gone down exponentially. It's hard to believe this is even the same Jinya ramen I had a few years ago. Gyoza - This should be simple. However, the ones we got were burnt on the button. Because of how dark lighting is, I didn't even notice until after taking a bite. Tonkotsu Spicy - So much mixed feelings. The first thing I notice is the disproportionate amount of noodles and broth. The amount of broth was barely covering half of the noodle. In addition, it was super thick, like the consistency of curry sauce. Chashu was overdone. It also came with a thick spicy taste on top of the chashu, which was not supposed to be there. The only good part is the noodle. Tonkotsu Black - A little better, but the broth still needs work. It came out lukewarm and still was too thick. Chashu was also overcooked and dry. More of a personal preference, but raw bean sprouts should NOT be topped with ramen. Though it adds a bit of crunch, it completely destroys the flavor of anything you eat because of the bitter aftertaste. A few things I do like: The Menu has lots of varieties. Of any ramen shop, Jinya definitely has the largest menu. Option to customize (for a price). Good service, cool atmosphere, outdoor seating. P.S. Kudos to our server for running to and from the kitchen to get all of my questions answered about the food. read more

We come here often. One of us usually gets a ramen dish and the other the pork Bowl seen in the picture. For the appetizer we have had the fried chicken which is delicious and also the JINYA bun. The gyoza is also super delicious. The only reason for the four stars is because the service seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it's great & sometimes it's super slow. We have had delivery from them more often and this last time 7 for 7 were perfect and I love the way they label and check the food now. I had the Chef's Special and the broth was on point! I've only ever eaten here once as I don't live in the area, but seriously, the broth is comparable to other places that sold at higher prices. I especially like how the bartenders yell whenever someone does a shot and the shared seating area makes for great people watching. read more

Jinya is a fun place to go to with family and friends, always friendly and helpful staff.

We stopped here to eat on the way home from work our servers names was Rachel and she did an amazing job taking care of us and accommodating to our wants and needs. We even asked for a drink they no longer make and the bartender Minh made one for us to try and then let us order one. It was overall the best experience we've ever had at any jinya ramen bar and needless to say we will for sure be coming back to this location specifically. My family and I came here for an early Father's Day dinner ( beat the Sunday crowd). I've had JINYA in the Katy location as it's closer to me, however we came to the outlets and saw they had one here in Cypress and I must say it's a million times better. The server was awesome she kept checking on us offered me a double inferno for my ramen which the other locations never suggested. I wish this JINYA was closer to me. Everyone was so nice, I have a 6 year old that's a picky eater and we brought him food from an outside restaurant and they were generous enough to let him eat his food here, not all restaurants are accommodating so that was nice of them. Perfection!!!! From the Brussels sprouts and the gyoza to my spicy tonkatsu ramen, everything was perfect! Oh I need to add that this is my first time ever eating ramen, btw. Let our waiter, Alex, know and he did a great job explaining everything on the menu to me. Patient and honest about it all. Checked on us enough but not hovering. Drinks were always full and I loved how my ice green tea complemented my ramen perfectly. My Brussels sprouts were super tasty. The tempura was not overwhelming which didn't take away from the crispness that the sprouts had to them. The gyoza was fried just right, too. Meat inside was cooked well and had a great taste to it that the complimentary gyoza sauce that is on the side was not needed. The salad that I had with my ramen was good. Simple mesclun salad mix went great with the in house dressing that comes with it. No need for any extra things like croutons to make it taste good. I'm only passing through, so I doubt I'll ever be here again, but if the opportunity ever calls that we get to pass through here again on our way to wherever, I'm making it a point to come back here again! Next time I have ramen back home in Austin, it better be as good as this place. They set the bar high for this foodie! P.s. in the picture is some type of pork bun type of thing that my husband ate. Ordered the basic tonkotsu ramen and while it was tasty, it was way too salty for my liking. Not to mention I only got one egg, 2 very thin slices of pork belly and a measly portion of hard "thick" noodles. Not at all worth the $17 I paid. read more

I have been to several Jinyas over the years and It appears that their quality of the food has been on the decline. I remember the first time going to the very first Jinya location and being blown away by the size of the chashu and the overall ramen bowl. However over the last few tries, my husband and I both noticed the price increasing while the amount of the ramen (especially the chashu) has been decreasing. As for this location, it was not any different. In fact, the chashu looked more like a pork belly cut into pieces - perhaps it was purchased pre-cooked. I was quite disappointed with the chashu size and quantity. The ramen was overall alright. I had the Tonkotsu Black with the spicy sauce as an extra. Broth was probably the only thing consistent with the ramen menu. This is unfortunate because the service and the staff were nice and accommodating. read more
