I have always been a fan of Jinya since my first time at their midtown location over more than a decade ago. Fast forward to 2026 and I have become an even bigger fan of this particular location. My niece and I absolutely love coming here for their spicy creamy vegan ramen. It has just the right amount of spice and the flavor of the broth is actually oh-so-delicious! Service is always just as great as the ramen. Must order items besides the ramen are the Brussels sprouts tempura, edamame, and the shrimp tempura. I have also tried their miso eggplant appetizer which was good but I do wish that the eggplant was sliced evenly throughout the dish so that it would have the same texture throughout the entire dish. Some pieces were cooked perfectly while others were not tender because of the cut. Regardless the flavor was still there.

Really want to try their chicken ramen next because I feel like this particular location makes everything tastes wayyy better than the other ones I have tried in Houston lol.

We absolutely love Jinya! The ramen bowls taste the same no matter what location you visit. Very consistent with soup but maybe not so much the drinks. Service is good and they are always checking on you even if you don't make eye contact. You can feel rushed sometimes when it comes to ordering. I've tried their non alcoholic drinks and it was so refreshing. Jinya is my go to comfort ramen because I know it will be delicious every time. The broth is so rich and fatty it melts in your mouth. Their eggs are soft boiled with a nice marinade. It does get expensive once you add extras so expect to pay about $15-$20 a bowl! Always worth going back though!

Jinja Ramen restaurant in Cypress, Texas is part of a chain network that are usually franchised but very consistent with quality of product and service. When you first walk in they greet you in Japanese normally get you seated right away as long as they're not busy and are quick to get you a menu and get your order started.I normally order the. I normally order the chicken, dumpling Ramen and get extra chicken dumplings and it is always on point and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Most of the restaurants are very consistent with the Japanese decorations and ambience and a slightly upscale setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This restaurant was on point and I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back

I've been a fan of Jinya for a few years now. I have tried other ramen places, but I always come back to this one. My favorites are their tonkotsu black and spicy chicken ramen. I also prefer their thick noodles, which has a perfectly firm but chewy texture and tastes so fresh. Their appetizers are also SO GOOD (get the fried chicken and spicy crispy rice tuna!). Jinya is consistent with their quality across their locations and I like that they change out their menu specials often so you won't get bored. read more

So far I've visited this location twice this week and well in my life technically and well my first time here was pretty amazing although the Karaage chicken is something I wouldn't necessarily order again. As for my second visit, the food was great aswell I ordered the tonkotsu spicy to-go and I'm disappointed to say that the portions just seemed a bit shy, I had less pork than I did chicken although pork was the main protein and chicken was the add on aswell I ordered extra bean sprouts but it didn't seem like there was much bean sprouts at all, regardless of that unfortunate fact the food was still great and the service was great and takes a 4 star in my book. I would and have definitely recommended this place to people. Just hope next time portions are just right.! read more

This place is fabulous! We fined there in the summer outdoors and it was just beautiful. We were next to a fire pit and we never felt the heat but it was just gorgeous. I had a soup I can't tell you what it was now I don't remember, but it was good and it seem like it went on forever and ever and I was not able to finish it but it was delicious. I was looking around for a ramen place and I found this place. The ramen I had was amazing! From the noodles to the actual soup, I loved every part of it. In addition to the food, the service was great. I love the option to get extra noodles and the different sauces on the table that you can add to your bowl. Went there last week with a couple of my friends coming back from college. Expect to wait outside for 15-20 minutes as we did, although this may happen only on the weekends or the evenings. We weren't asked if sitting at a community table was okay with us, but we were still seated there (there were other tables open that we could've fit in). The server did familiarize us with the menu rather well, and we each ordered our food. It came out in moderate time. The ramen was alright, but it seemed a bit much to pay ~17/18 dollars for one ramen (nothing added) and a sprite. The spicy chicken ramen was not as spicy as I would've thought, so will definitely get the spiciest option if I do return. The noodles were thick and had good texture, but the broth was nothing special. Portions were enough for me. The large table made it difficult to talk with each other and we had to sit with constantly changing strangers next to us. The server only checked back with us when we called him over to pay for our meal. read more

I've been waiting a longggggg time for Ramen to make it to Cypress. I've been to several Jinya locations around town and this one lived up to my expectations. My favorite is the tonkotsu spicy. I don't eat pork often but when I do, this bowl doesn't disappoint. The bowl comes in mild, spicy, or hot and I enjoy the "spicy" level. On the Saturday night I visited, there was only seating at the bar or at a community table at 9:15pm. This location appears to be slightly smaller than the Katy location. Hopefully the wait time does not become an issue in the future. I enjoyed sitting at the bar. Try the Brussels sprouts appetizer, it's delicious! read more

My boyfriend and i have been here twice so far to this location and love it here cause its never crowded and we love the seating arrangement and the outside area looks cool if you have a large party. Plus the service is quick, it took no time to get our food. We get the chicken bites and its delicious and crunchy. We get the spicy chicken ramen double inferno. Lots of heat and flavor and cant forget about the egg. I have started getting the veggie ramen in spicy chicken double inferno broth with the egg and i am okay with the extra charge because it is delicious. Oh well... would be better if there was no charge since im already paying for a higher end ramen. Maybe there is an explanation, but isnt it just putting the veggies into a broth?? Used to go to Jinya a lot, not so much anymore. The bars are too loud and noisy for a nice sit down dinner. Often I can't hear myself think, let alone hear what somebody is saying around the table. Turn down the music, people. The music is there for your customer to enjoy as an ambience, not to dance to or numb yourself with. read more

It's a bit far of a drive but I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area! I'd rate it in my top 5 ramen in Houston, though it is far from the rest and definitely the best in its area.

We tried the poke tacos, crispy chicken, JINYA bun, spicy chicken ramen, and two desserts. (We split mostly all of this) I really enjoyed everything except the desserts. Unfortunately the second time I went here, it was not the best experience. There were multiple…read moremistakes to my order as well as my friends throughout our time in the restaurant. We were excited to come here for her birthday, as the last time we were here the experience was wonderful. This time not so much. For starters, she ordered the Agedashi tofu and stated multiple times she did not want fish flakes on it. There was confusion as the menu provided to us does not state that there is fish flakes on the dish. Upon receiving the appetizer, she immediately stated that it was incorrect and had asked there be no fish flakes. The person who brought it to us, I assume was the manager, said nothing, he looked at it and turned around and took it back to the kitchen. Albeit he seemed annoyed to do so. We also ordered the pork gyoza which came out perfect. The server did apologize and we all acknowledged the confusion about the fish flakes, as they are not listed in the physical menu. We then proceeded to order the full size teriyaki steak bento box to share. Which comes with either fried or steamed rice, two egg rolls, two carb puffs, the teriyaki steak, four pieces of a California roll, choice of soup and some orange slices. Which I read to the server. We state to our server that we want steamed rice, miso soup and that we are sharing the bento box, as there was confusion if we were getting two full orders. I then say that I would like to add a side of spicy mayo, eel sauce and the crunch flakes so that I can add them to the four pieces of the California roll in the bento box. There was a back and forth between my friend and myself and the server, which the conversation ended with what I believed was a clear understanding that I wanted these sauces to add to the roll that came with the bento box. In turn what happened was the miso soup was brought out followed by the bento box. There were no sauces to go with the roll. I looked at the box and said that the sauces we had asked for were not there, to which our server stated that the California roll was at the sushi bar. At this point my friend and I were both confused as we did not order an additional California roll. The server then seemed to kind of push it on to us as it was already "made and ready". But again we never ordered this. So we denied receiving it. Our server then takes the bento box from the table back to the kitchen and goes and speaks to the same man, we presumed was the manager. He looked at our table, continued speaking with the server and never spoke to us directly. Our server brings back our bento box, with now four new pieces of the california roll, but does not bring the sauces that were initially asked for, and begins to tell me that the california roll does not come with those said sauces on it or crunch flakes. At this point I did show frustration and state to the server that I was aware those things did not come on the roll, which is why I ordered them as an extra side. Our server states the sauces were an upcharge and I said that was fine, I was more than okay with paying an additional charge. We finally get the sauces we wanted for our roll, the server apologizes again and lets me know we were not charged for the two sauces due to the confusion. We say thank you and overall enjoy our meal. My friend and I also both had one glass of peach wine each. When our server came back to check on us, my friend and I both stated, we wanted to order one glass of wine that we would split. When the server came back with two refill pours, we both were over the experience. We knew immediately we would be charged for two refills, even though we ordered one to split, which we would have been fine splitting ourselves. We just accepted that our order was messed up again. We lastly ordered the banana split pie, which nowhere on the menu card (as it is on the table in the standing display) states that there are nuts. It was when we received it that we learned there are nuts, and unfortunately I have a nut sensitivity and my mouth did start to itch and burn. At the end of the day the overall experience was not the best. I feel our server may have been new and ill prepared. But managent not talking to us, and having what seemed to be annoyance for us sending back an incorrectly prepared dish. As well as their physical menus not accurately stating what is in a dish, just overall made this a crappy experience. Which is disappointing as our first time there, was a complete 180 of this experience. The food quality was great and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I enjoy their food but probably will not eat there again anytime soon.
