The BEST ramen place. Jinya has so many different options and you can't go wrong with any one. I love their spicy creamy vegan ramen even though I'm not vegan. I really appreciate all the non-pork options that Jinya has, they also have so many chicken options for those who don't eat pork! We've also gotten their chicken karaage ramen which is a seasonal special. I've been to Jinya's in other states and they're all great, but I love the decor and the vibe at this Fishers location! We are so thrilled for this ramen bar to open in Fishers District! We came with out little one and had such a wonderful meal! My husband and I both got a different ramen (Spicy Chicken Ramen and Cha Cha Cha) and the Jinya Buns and gyoza. Everything was so creamy and rich in flavor! The space is gorgeous as well! Enjoyed a great dinner at JINYA Ramen, Fishers. Started the evening with a Lemon Droptini that had a super refreshing taste. It had a hint of something I couldn't quite pinpoint, maybe basil?? But this subtle ingredient gave the cocktail the right touch- not overly sugary like many Lemon-drops. I ordered the Spicy Chicken which comes mild, spicy and extra spicy. I ordered the "spicy" version and needed to add more of the spicy sauce on the table. Could have used more flavor. The noodles were delicious and the spinach had a perfect crunch. Having recently had JINYA in Texas, I'm absolutely thrilled they've opened a location in the Midwest. I came for the Yelp event and started with the Peach Shochu Smash. It's sweet, fresh, and thick with real peach juice. I wasn't sure on my appetizer order, but was stoked with the texture and size of the jinya bun. Honestly, two of those could easily be dinner if you're looking for something light and proves the menu is so much more than just ramen. I ordered the Jinya Tonkotsu Black as my main dish and it was just as delicious as the first time I had it. The service was great, even though I was in a huge group and things were busy. Met out of town fraternity brothers of 55 years for a great meal of dim sum and ramen. 5 of us had a wonderful reunion in the inviting upstairs bar area. Cocktails of martinis, bourbons, scotches & beers greased the wheels of conversation and stimulated our palates for Gyoza, Octopus Balls and Brussels Sprouts Tempura leading into the main Ramen experience. I was debating between a 3 or 4 because of the price range, but I'm going for the 4 since the ramen was delicious. You will be paying a bit more on the higher end compared to the other ramen places in Indianapolis - especially for the amount of food you get. I ordered the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen (I always have a preference towards miso ramens) and it was delicious. It didn't come with an egg so I added it (at extra charge). It's $2.50 per egg, but egg prices are $$ these days. It wasn't as spicy as I'd like, but I did like how hot it came out. I tend to like my soups almost piping hot and it was just right. I'd come again, but I wouldn't make it my regular ramen place. I do want to try their Tonkotsu ramen since it's what my friends usually get. As for the atmosphere, it's two stories and my group was seated upstairs. They have a bar area as well. I was expecting more of a quick lunch spot because of the location. It is dine-in service and not the best for lunch. I was surprised there was no lunch menu considering the bowls of ramen were $16,$18 and up. Since the ramen was so pricey my husband and I split spicy chicken ramen, 4 potstickers, salad and a pork bun. We both left still hungry. The spicy chicken bowl, was not spicy at all (we did mild, but really there was a 0 spice lever) and only had 2 pieces of small chicken in it. I would be surprised if there was even an ounce of chicken. Considering it was $18 just for the ramen that was a bit disappointing. I do not think it is good value. I was also not fond of the noodles in the spicy chicken. They called them "thin noodles". To me they tasted more like a whole wheat noodle. Seemed weird to me for ramen. The pork bun was delicious, the pot stickers were as well. I would give Jinya another try by coming back for dinner and getting different ramen with different noodles. read more

Happy hour is everyday from 3-5pm which has discounted drinks and appetizers. Food: 3/5 Very extensive menu with ramen, rice bowls, and salads. The pork baos had a slab of really fatty pork belly, which I was not a big fan of and made it really challenging to eat. I think it could've benefited from some acid to help balance out the fattiness. The chicken kaarage came with a generous portion. Great value for happy hour deal. Big pieces Rhys were fried well and was still very juicy. However, the chicken itself was lacking seasoning. The sauce that it came with though was very good and in my opinion helped carry the dish. The ramen was good but I think there are definitely better options in the area. I got the jinya chicken ramen which came with chicken Chasu and some spinach for ~$16. The chasu was very tender and good, but only came with 2 pieces. I was a little disappointed with the lack of toppings as I felt like I was eating noodles for 90% of the meal. The noodles and broth were very good, but I wish there was some more variety. Service: 3/5 We had some weird interactions with our waitress, who seemed a little dismissive/unhappy to be there. We also had our ramen almost come out right after the appetizers which was slightly irritating since we had many dishes piled up on a small table. Small things, but enough to impact our dining experience. Value: 2/5 I would suggest coming for happy hour which has some pretty decent deals. However. It was prefect for me as I was looking for something not super spicy but not bland either so definitely recommend this ramen if you're looking for a little bit of heat. The chicken broth was very comforting for me. It's served with thin noodles, spinach , green onion and French onion. We also tried the chef's special Ebi-Katsu Bun which had shrimp cutlet , cabbage, lettuce and cucumber some social mayo sauce. This place has a much of veggie/vegan options even for ramen which we did not expect. The ambience is modern with there's a bar area upstairs. I was looking forward to Jinya opening up in the Indy area, as I have enjoyed it a few times while visiting Salt Lake City. This new location in Fishers comes with the difficult parking typical for this area. Huge suburban SUVs and tiny parking spots just don't mix in my opinion. But lets get to the restaurant itself. We were greeted right away and taken to our table. I saw the stairs and asked the host if there was an upstairs. I was told yes, but that floor is not yet open. Strangely enough, the next couple walking in 2-3 minutes later, was taken upstairs to sit. A bit weird. Anyway, our waitress stopped by to see if we would like to order. We told her we would like some of the happy hour specials, so she told us she'll come back after 3pm, sure thing, cause it was only 2:57pm, probably would have been 3pm by the time we finished ordering and this was entered, but ok. Unfortunately we then had to wait quite a while for her return. Guess that teaches us. After we finally gave our order, it wasn't too long and someone brought out one of our appetizers, the spicy Tuna and Salmon cones. These are rather tiny cones stuck in a bed of rice. Cute, delicious. Not sure what the rest of the cone is filled with, but I enjoyed every bite. My guest enjoyed the first bite of tuna and salmon, but not the rest of the cone. Next came the crispy chicken. Gotta love that dish. Love the crunch, the flavor, the dipping sauce and even the greens along the side. Too bad the person bringing it didn't clear the empty cone dish. Next came the Jinya bun. Loved the flavor, but for my taste the meat was just plain fat, so that's a no from me, but my guest loved every bite. Too bad the person bringing it didn't clear the empty cone dish. We asked for a box for the remainder of our crispy chicken. Too bad the person bringing it didn't clear the empty cone dish nor the empty bun dish. Finally we saw our waitress again to refill our waters. Too bad she couldn't clear the empty cone, bun or chicken dishes. We are at a 2 top table and it's getting rather crowded now, since these dishes do not stack well, we have drinks, the place settings, the condiment tray and a carry out box. Our waitress brings our ramen. Yay... She does take the empty cone dish, the other empty dishes remain. Unfortunately our extra items all come in extra little dishes. I am afraid something will fall off this table. My Yuzu Shio Delight is missing the nori. We dump our extra items into our bowls, at least those little plates do stack. She stops by to refill our water again, nice I appreciate this. Could we clear some of these dishes please. Guess not... The ramen is delicious and we are slurping away. My Yuzu Shio Delight was a bit tangy for my taste, but that's on me since that is what I ordered. I'll go back to my faves next time. My guest had the Shrimp Wonton Ramen and enjoyed every bite of it. We are halfway through our ramen, when the appetizer dishes are cleared and we asked for containers for our remaining ramen. We receive one. Waitress is sincerely surprised that we want separate containers for our leftover ramen, but she does bring another container. Do I still want my dessert? Yes please. So I am presented with the bill... hmmm... personally I hate getting the bill before I get ALL the food I ordered. Also while you are bringing the bill could we do something about the empty ramen bowls and the dishes for our extra items? Guess not... She comes back to collect my credit card to process. She comes back with the receipts for me to sign. She comes back to bring my dessert. She comes back to take the receipt and her pen. She comes back to finally take these dirty dishes. She comes back to ask if we want a bag for our leftover containers. She comes back with a bag. I do believe the wait staff needs a bit more training. When you work in a restaurant with small tables, please take the dirty dishes when you are already visiting the table. Save yourself some steps. And please don't move the dirty dishes around to make room for the next dish served, take them off the table instead. And don't bring the check and then grab it again from the table as soon as it's signed (without a thank you btw) all before the last item ordered was even served. It's in the details. We were told by someone in our training class that this place was a must try. They were not wrong!! It was incredible!! They had a great menu with several types of Asian dishes, not just Ramen. They also have small plates, which is great if you wanna try a few different things. I have the salmon pokey tacos that were excellent! I could've eaten six plates of those. Also had the Tonkatsu spicy umami spicy ramen with added fresh garlic, seasoned egg, nori sheets and the spicy sauce on the side. The spicy sauce was too spicy for me but the chili crunch oil on the table was perfect! We were full half way through the ramen bowl but took the rest to go for later. If you know me or read my reviews, you know that I am eternally searching for the best Ramen. So far, nothing in Indy has come close to Chicago's Ramen scene like High Five Ramen and RamenSan. I decided to try out Jinya as it is based out of LA and perhaps they brought over the flavors from there to make a truly great Ramen. I ordered the Tonkatsu, as that is the one true Ramen. Everything else is pretend. It was good. Better than Chicago? nah. Better than most of Indy's Ramens? Yep. It still wasn't the best in Indy, but not far off enough to make a difference. The issue was cost. Not only was this Ramen coming from LA, but it seems to have brought LA prices along with it. I believe my Ramen was like 25$ which is absolutely nuts. Based on value alone I would not come back, but if you are in the area and desperate for Ramen, this one has a good flavor and wont leave you disappointed other than in your wallet. I did not try the Pork Belly Baos, but the table next to me got them and they looked great! Off to find the next Ramen restaurant! read more

From the outside it looks very small, however I was very pleasantly surprised how specious it was! They have an up straits and a downstairs, and both floors have a bar area to sit at. The ambience is very chill and would make the perfect date night spot. The service was good. Our server did forget to bring my friends drink, however that was quickly addressed. I ordered the tonkotsu red ramen in spice level 5. I love spicy things and the spice level 5 was hitting the spot, however I feel like I could have gone to a level 6. The ramen was flavorful and the pork was perfectly cooked. I do wish there was a bit more vegetables in it. I also ordered the pork bun. The pork bun was perfectly soft and the pork belly was 10/10. We visited this new ramen bar on grand opening day! Service from door to table was excellent and they even sought feedback - a great idea for an opening night. A slightly frustrating time once at the table as the font size on menu is uber small, like annoyingly so. With the mood lighting it was actually hard to read. We ordered crispy rice w/ tuna and Tokyo curry rice, tan tan noodles, and spicy umami miso ramen. Everything was good. Broth was rich and flavorful, but the miso one was slightly more so. It's for sure a direct competition to Kizuki w/ a different variety of appetizers. Service was nicely attentive, but there weren't a whole lot of people on the second floor (yes, they have a second floor), and they had plenty of staff on hand. The ambience/decor is hip/mod w/ a splash of rustic and Japanese nods to wood, etc. Our ramens were both free as the first 50 people in at 5pm got free ramen bowls. Very cute place in a strip mall. We were sat upstairs which is 21 and over. Everyone who came to our table was so friendly. We got a great description of the menu to start us off. There were 3 of us. We got a jinya bun and just shared it because we wanted to try it. It was so good!! I would go back and just get those, such great flavor. For entree 2 of us got the tonkotsu red and my daughter got the tonkotsu black. I got a level 4 for spice and it was perfect! Some places don't have heat and this place knows how to make it spicy. Tried JINYA for the first time. It was really our first ramen experience aside from instant packaged ramen noodles as a kid. Yes, the comparison isn't equal, I know. Ha! Man, this place was awesome. Our server was so sweet and attentive. Even the girl at the front that sat us was very sweet too. My family and I (14 of us total) visited this establishment after we received very poor service at the Sangrita Grill & Cantina. We were seated promptly and accommodated quickly for our large party. When we had first arrived the place wasn't very busy, but more people poured in later during our dining experience. It seems popular, and let me tell you why! I got the tongkotsu black and it was delicious. The noodles are thin, so if you want more of a thick ramen I recommend another dish or a switch of noodles (if available). There were very thinly sliced mushrooms included and some fatty pieces of pork. It also had a seasoned egg in it, it seemed to have been marinated in soy sauce or something. It was pretty good. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more spice, but they did have hot sauce and additional seasonings on the table for you to add yourself. My SIL got the tongkotsu red and it was SPICYYYY. It had a tickle the back of your throat, open your nostrils kind of spice. Similar to the effect of wasabi. It was so good she added some of her broth to mine to spice it up. My husband for the chicken wonton soup, he said it was "slapping". It does come with some spinach, so if you don't want that in there make sure you let them know! He added it to my bowl haha. We also got our kids the child's meal which was enough to split between three toddlers. It came with two pieces of (very yummy) fried chicken, a small salad, a rice bowl with some crunchy stuff on top, and a small ramen bowl with ramen and corn. The little ramen also comes with chopped up green onion and mushrooms but can be removed upon request. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and we will probably return to enjoy again. They were very kid friendly, and our server was very sweet to our littles and made us all feel welcome. It was my MIL's birthday, and they brought out an ice cream with a big sparkler, it was so cool. We all sang to her and got to enjoy some chocolate mochi. A very nice gentleman server also brought some ice cream for the kids in our party, he was very nice and attentive as well. All around 5 stars for all the staff. If you're coming for a drink, I recommend the Sake Pina Colada. It didn't taste strongly of coconut and was perfectly sweet. If you're not into really tasting your alcohol I also recommend this because it was very minor on the alcohol smell and bitter taste level. Wow, where do I even begin? My boyfriend has been telling me about this place for sometime now and we finally got around to going together and it did not disappoint. I had never had true ramen and I was not disappointed. We got seated right away and we were in the upstairs section, we had a great spot along the railing and we were able to see everything. We got so excited every time we saw food going upstairs. The women who sat us said her favorite drink was the Strawtini so I got that and my boyfriend got the mule. The cocktails were divine and hit the spot. I am a sucker for brussels sprouts so we knew were getting those to start as well as the shrimp. Both were absolutely incredible, I would go back just for those things! Now onto the main course, holy crap. I got the Wonton Chicken Ramen and I can still taste it. The flavoring in the broth with the mix-ins and the wontons, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I will say though, there is A LOT of broth in it and I was trying to get every last bit out but it was tough. I did though. I would do it again tomorrow. Ramen is all the Craze.. is their slogan and they got it right. Ordered the Jinya Tonkatsu Black, pork gyoza, and the baos. Gyoza is excelent, the sauce that was on the table has good taste that complement the gyoza. The Tonkatsu Ramen Black was great. Good broth, the Chasu is cooked perfectly, the meat melt in your mouth. I added the hot sauce from the table to add zing to the broth. As the dessert, the Pennacota was mouth watery good. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. The environment is very nice, everything is clean and it has cool decorations. I ordered the small chicken chashu bowl, which was very delicious. The portion was a lot larger than I expected. I'm not the biggest fan of green onion and the bowl had a large quantity of that, but I did not mind it since it blended well with the other flavors.
