I've been here twice for lunch with coworkers in the middle of the work day. It is not too crowded and service is fast. It's not too loud and a good place to have a quick meal and chat. Parking is tight but usually plentiful on weekday afternoons. The sides are great. We always get the chicken karaage. The portion is huge. It's nice and crispy with juicy meat, absolutely delicious. The ramen is big and kind of expensive but that's about expected for Jinya. I like that they have new things on their menu like the curry rice balls and the limited demon slayer menu. Upon arrival so many people were shouting words with the staff every minute or so (words such as "arigatou" & etc...which means "thank you" in Japanese). I am all for supporting culture and saying thank you, but it doesn't need to be shouted to the rest of the restaurant, it was disruptive to our meal so much so that we wanted to leave but stuck it out to try the food. A mistake... Each of us ordered an appetizer, the Nikuman and JINYA bun. Jinya bun was pretty good but Nikuman was bland and nothing to write home about. For entrées we got the spicy chicken Ramen and the JINYA chicken ramen. We were both disappointed with the quality of chicken in the Ramen and it only had 2 slices. It honestly tasted like we were eating a piece of old deli lunch meat...after adding seasoning and additional things that were left on the table to our Ramen it really helped to enhance the broth which made it decent to eat, but the noodles were a big disappointment. I've had my fair share of Ramen at dozens of restaurants, and this is definitely ranked on the lower end of quality, taste, and just overall enjoyment. I ordered the Tonkotsu Black Ramen very recently. Very delicious, rich, full of aromas and ingredients. The bone broth was milky. The pork belly slices were salted well and drenched in the stew nicely. I normally hate pork belly too, but that broth and the way they cut n prep it here really makes a difference. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was very disappointing. My boyfriend and I came here for a date night, and unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy it because the restaurant was extremely hot inside. I mentioned the temperature to both our waitress and the bartender, asking if the A/C was working because we were sweating profusely while trying to eat. The bartender told me she was going to check with the manager. When she came back, instead of giving me an update, she simply asked if I was ready for the check. I never received any information about whether the A/C was working or if anything was being done to address the issue. It was so hot that we were sweating throughout our meal, making it difficult to enjoy our food. It's hard to enjoy a hot bowl of ramen when you're already overheated. The uncomfortable temperature completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice date night. I hope management addresses the A/C issue and communicates better with guests when concerns are brought to their attention. Customer comfort is just as important as the quality of the food read more

A great restaurant addition to the Pearland food scene! I've been twice and service / food is always good and meets the standard for a Jinya location. They have added a few vegan ramen dishes over the years. My favorite is always the spicy creamy vegan ramen. Nothing against this location itself but over the years the price of the ramen has gotten so expensive! For greater than $20 for a ramen I would expect a fancier ambiance or more unique food options. Another win for Pearland and this plaza. Being a fan of the midtown Jinya I was excited to check this place out. Immediately I noticed the vibe and atmosphere was different. This was more lively and open vs intimate and dark. The place offered booth and table seating, ramen bar seating and bar seating so introverts and extroverts are well accommodated. Service was really nice with the new trainee Zeke checking up on us frequently. We ordered the Tan Tan Ramen which was creamy and the Chicken Yuzu Shio Delight offering a zestier option. I placed an online order for pickup. It takes about 20 minutes to arrive from my home. I arrived on time and my food wasn't ready, ok, cool. Pick up time was 11:23 am. By 11:40, I still did not have my food. I asked the server at the front how much longer it would be. She said she'd check and decided not to come back and let me know. I had to go up to her and the manager and ask. The manager said it would be a few more minutes. At that point, I requested the order to be cancelled. She still tried to get me to stay longer and take the order. No thank you. I've been waiting for over 20 minutes for my food when there were 4 other pickup orders provided to customers. Our go to spot for ramen in Pearland. I've tried a few different options at this point and all have been good. I started with the spicy chicken- it was solid. I then started getting the Tonkotsu Red spice level 6-7. They say anything over 5 is crazy hot but they are just being dramatic. 7 is solid heat that you can feel but not overwhelming. Came here last night for dinner. We got a bottle of the sparkling peach sake which was good! We ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna and two bowls of ramen- the black tonkatsu and the birria. Our server was fine, friendly. The crispy tuna was good- my only complaint is that they give you three pieces for $10. That's stingy. If you ordered that for a table with two couples, it's not even enough for everyone to have a single piece! I do wish the flavor of the tuna was a little more prevalent instead of the spicy mayo and the tempura they mix it with. Both bowls of ramen were great- I will forever wish there was more meat though. I had two measly pieces of pork belly in mine, but the egg was good and there was a healthy portion of noodles. I do wish the restaurant was designed a little differently, as there is nowhere to sit while you're waiting. So everyone is crammed at front door waiting to be seated. Azim was a wonderful server. He was patient and explained the menu perfectly. He answered all of our questions and made great recommendations. My dad got the Birria ramen and it was sooooo delicious. The other ramen bowls (spicy chicken and tonkotsu red) were great also. And the shrimp wontons hit the spot. On top of that you can get reward points for future visits. I will definitely be back . A few of us have been waiting for Jinya to arrive in Pearland for YEARS! And they have not disappointed. Their newest location, I believe their 70th overall, is situated on Broadway directly between 288 or Cullen. So you have some options to get into here from some of the main highways. They have a large parking lot that they share with a few other restaurants, so parking wasn't a very difficult affair. Pro tip: they also have some parking behind the buildings too If it's a busy night.. We showed up on a Saturday evening, and it was popping. Still we were able to find parking. Now it is still relatively new, so there are some kinks to work out. The waiting was one of them for me. Pretty much the only one to be honest. We got in and it was communicated that we had a 15 to 20 minute wait. We'll get a text message, and come back in. Great, we can do that. After about 20 minutes, I got a text message saying our table was ready. So I went in, and they told me to wait to the side while they took care of other people in line instead. What had happened was somebody else said the same name as me, and they got sat instead and we came off the list.. So then we had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes for a table. People behind us in line got sat before us. So that was a bit of a nuisance. We waited almost an hour in total. The facility itself is brand new, the ambient lighting is a warm yellow creating a more intimate aesthetic. I like the lighting set up. Everything was clean. Compared to their other locations, this location is a bit smaller and you're a little closer to your neighboring tables. Once we finally were seated, our weight staff was Liam. Liam was hustling through all the tables but he came by pretty frequently still and made sure everything was taken care of. We had the crispy rice with spicy tuna. We've had that at other locations and really enjoyed it, here I'm going to give it a 3/5. Great flavor, not crispy at all. It was mushy. They can do it better. Ramen was perfect. We both had to Tonkotsu Black. I went with an extra egg, corn and fresh garlic. I had forgotten to include brussel sprouts in my order, so when I let them know it came out really quickly, for which I am thankful. The ramen was gooooood. Overall a good time out aside the wait list issue. Their new location is a bit on the smaller side, so be mindful of your arrival time and expected wait. Jinya remains my favorite chain ramen joint. I will absolutely be coming back in the future, and I'm hoping some of the kinks in their processes work themselves out over time. read more

We were seated fast by the hostess and she was pleasant. We had Osmond as our server. He took the time to tell us about the special dishes and cocktails that were available. Osmond gave us time to look over the menu. The food tasted how it was suppose to taste. I love Jinya and all of the locations have met my expectations. No different here the only issue I had is that our food came out pretty slow, which I thought was slightly off because the restaurant was not packed. Evey time I've been there, the ramen has been delicious. They have gluten free noodles you can request them in any bowl & can enjoy all the flavors. The drinks & service are also great. You can sit at the bar or get a table. I tend to order the same thing, but they recently has a promotion & gave a Dragon Slayer spoon if you ordered a certain ramen which was a great was to get people to try something new. It didn't take long until we were able to get in. When we got in the restaurant, the place was pretty spacious. Overall, the food was good, but it wasn't outstanding compared to other ramen restaurants in Houston. However, the ramen was good quality for Pearland, especially since the Asian food scene isn't that popular in this town yet. I ordered the Salmon Poke Tacos, but I wouldn't order them again. The fish was good quality, but it was drenched in acidic sauce that made the taco really messy to eat. Personally, I would've preferred a creamier take on the taco, like a spicy mayo sauce rather than a tropical and refreshing take. For my main, I ordered the Premium Tonkotsu Red, spice level three. The pork broth was spicy and flavorful and the thick noodles were cooked perfectly and had a firm bite to them. The toppings were good as well, except the pork chasu. This was my first time trying Jinya. I ordered the Chef's Special Birria Ramen and I must say it was very yummy. The broth and birria meat were both very flavorful. My only complaint is that the portion was small especially for the price. I mostly had noodles and not very much meat. I did place my order to-go about 15 minutes before close so that could have been the reason for the smaller portion. Service was great.
