I purchased a laser treatment package in December 2025 and had to wait until late February for my first session without any prior notice. That kind of delay, with zero communication, is completely unacceptable. After the first treatment, there was no follow-up whatsoever. It's clear this business does not prioritize its customers once they've paid. It only gets worse. My second treatment was scheduled for March 26, and again, no one bothered to inform me of any issues. I had to call myself to confirm, only to find out that Tisha had resigned and my appointment couldn't happen. No call, no email, no effort to notify me. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to contact the clinic, and not once has anyone returned my calls. Instead of fixing the problem or honoring the service I already paid for, staff keep trying to upsell me on other services. That is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I paid in full for laser treatments--not for excuses or sales pitches. This is extremely poor management and unacceptable customer service. If you cannot deliver the services you advertise and take full payment for, you should not be operating this way. Management needs to take accountability immediately. I've been trying to get in contact with management since Wednesday, and no one has reached out. As a paying customer, this is extremely frustrating and disappointing. I was already hesitant to put down a deposit due to past questionable business practices, but I decided to move forward because I specifically wanted to see Tish, who is known for her expertise in tattoo removal and laser services. Unfortunately, Tish has since resigned, and no one from the company communicated this. Not only was my appointment canceled because the new provider doesn't even work on the day I was originally scheduled, but I was also reassigned to a completely different provider--one who does not have a strong or reputable track record. I had hoped things would improve under the new ownership with Patrick and Mark, but that hasn't been my experience. The lack of communication, transparency, and customer care is concerning. Do your research and trust your gut before booking here. I'm sharing this because I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. I have alopecia universalis, and years ago -- when I was feeling insecure -- I got eyebrow tattoos. Now that I'm finally comfortable in my own skin, I just want to remove them and be myself again. I've been going to Jiva Med Spa for brow tattoo removal and have now had nine treatments. Today's appointment was the most disappointing experience I've had there. The laser was turned down so low that it did absolutely nothing -- not even redness afterward. The entire treatment lasted less than one minute, and I was charged $400 for it. For someone who isn't wealthy, that's a painful amount of money to spend on a session that produced zero visible effect. What made it worse was the lack of care. Previous staff members, like Tish, took photos and tracked progress. Today, the person running the laser didn't take pictures, didn't seem engaged, and didn't show any concern for the results. It felt like they were just restarting the cycle so I'd have to pay for another long series of treatments. I'm not asking for miracles -- just to receive the service I paid for. It's incredibly discouraging to feel like a company is taking advantage of people who are already vulnerable. I wish there had been more empathy, more honesty, and more professionalism. I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision! I reached out to them but they sent a generic response and have ignored any of my requests. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had a consultation on January 4, 2025, and signed up for 6 months of a weight loss drug and 6 months of Lipo Mino. I recently found out that the weight loss drug is not approved in Ohio and is not FDA approved. I feel lied to and have experienced poor communication. They used my money for services I didn't authorize, and I didn't receive the Lipo Mino shots. When I asked for my credit, they said they put the money toward the weight loss drug without my consent. Highly caution against this location. I reached out for basic (small) tattoo removal. Associates are very pushy. Will push you for in-person consult when virtual consults are available. After finally receiving a virtual consult, the associate took basic info then, I held for 15 minutes waiting for the "doctor". The doctor stated an associate could remove the tattoo in 8-10 sessions. He quoted $100 per treatment or $600 for unlimited treatments until tattoo removed to my satisfaction. He also offered to spread the $600 total over a time of six months. When attempting to schedule the first session, the associate stated extending the payment would now require a "credit app", etc. I stated I didn't want to provide those details. Associate became belligerent and insisted. I asked that she follow up with the doctor to see if paying $100 each month for six months was an option. Associate would not even consider. We started it a year before we got married. 2 years later it's still not removed. Not only did he lie about that. He also talked me in to paying upfront for unlimited appointments, and also I would get money back because it wouldn't take that long. Then he talked me in to buying this expensive cream for scarring, when they don't even use it. They use Auqafor. He also said he would be the one doing my laser treatments, he did 2 then had someone else do it. After awhile I'm guessing after they used all the money I paid upfront for. I left to try a new place for Brazilian and underarms); there were instant results in two sessions - hair falling out. The person running the other business retired. I came back to Jiva for the discounted price. I had one session last week; it does not appear to be working. I am wondering if the laser is turned up high enough (or if it's kept at a low frequency on purpose) because I didn't feel anything. Something about this place just does not sit right with me. I almost hesitate to write a review for some reason. Just feels a little sketch, a little sus...know what I'm saying? I went to four different laser sessions here. First one included consultation and felt like haggling to buy a car to get a decent price for what I wanted. I felt kinda pressured and caved and bought the four sessions prepaid. I did not get a receipt. Second session I come in and am told I only bought 3 sessions. I complain, I feel like I am being stared at like an idiot. They say they will call me and never do. Third session I come in and am told only 3 sessions, I insist it's four and they finally agree. I think this was also the one with a new assistant who awkwardly looked at my moles on my legs and asked if I had them checked recently?! Fourth session I am relieved be to ending my time here but I am seeing results. I had to reschedule my appointment because the power was out, but they squeezed me in the next day. I come in 5 mins early, and sit and wait for a good 30-40 mins before I get up and inquire. Eventually after waiting like a good 45 mins or more I am brought back to the room where another employee tried to take someone with a later appt time in before me! Nothing but lies. My husband went in for tattoo removal. We were promised by Dr Nanda 2 years ago that my husband tattoo would be removed fully in a year, we had a reason we wanted it removed in that time. Not only were we promised he also signed us up for some bull shit that he promised unlimited visits , but it would only take a couple and we would get some money back. We were ok and did't care about the money back as long as it was gone in a year. Then on my husband's visit about 2 months ago they turned the laser up too high and literally blew his finger open. And just said " OOOPS". It was blown open and had a huge gaping hole in his finger for days. Also , on initial consultation Dr Nanda sold us this cream for $90, that they claimed needed to be used after each treatment. It's in an unmarked container. Well they don't even use it , they use aquafor, which I'm almost positive is what is the little jar they sold is for $90. Nothing but a scam !! read more

I am 15-16 sessions in now. In my most recent laser tattoo session, I started getting a lot of pin point bleeding, which may be normal for some patients, but not for me. It left so much scarring and hyperpigmentation on my body. I reached out the same day concerned about the amount of bleeding and irritation on my body. Per usual, I was told it was normal. For over a month I was told it was normal. The pink irritation eventually faded into hyperpigmentation (photos). Danielle, who I have never previously done a session with, assured me that all this bleeding and irritation was normal. How can you even logically claim that when this is the first session I've had with you?? And then told me that she raised the level of the laser. Half of me was alarmed that she would change the level without informing me. However when I spoke to Alexis at the front desk she said something along the lines of "yeah this is not normal and all your settings were kept the same so I don't know why this would be happening". So.... either lying about the settings or failing to inform patients about the treatment. Nothing about this place makes sense. I constantly get gaslit into thinking all this scarring on my body is normal session after session. Didn't even bother bringing it to Dr. Nanda's attention because I just didn't expect any of my concerns to be addressed at this point. I'm now undergoing one laser treatment for my tattoos and another laser treatments for my scars. I'm hopeful that the PicoGenesis laser will remove the hyperpigmentation but I am so close to just getting my tattoos covered up with other tattoos now because of how disgusting my body looks as a result of this place. I've invested so much time coming here for treatments and 6 years of avoiding the sun because of it. It feels like this place has a vendetta against me. When I came in for my second Genesis treatment (laser for scarring) the nurse started walking towards me with a makeup wipe... as in I almost got my f*cking face lasered because no one here is on the same page (this is why I'm generally so insistent on having my treatment with Kara) I've asked about obtaining my file multiple times and have not been able to receive it. I've called inquiring, I've asked if I could sign a medical records release, etc. I just want to get a second opinion which I don't think is too much to ask given the circumstances. I've spoken to my friends who work in plastics and own their own laser clinics who have told me this is not normal. I'm incredibly sad and disappointed at my results because it has only led to more body insecurity on top of the 5-6 years of gaslighting I've received from numerous medical professionals in this office. The transparency is just not here. I'm losing hope with this office but figure as long as I live in the area I might as well stop in while I debate the alternative of just getting my whole body tattooed again to cover the scarring. Also, my roommate came here and got absolutely bent over on laser hair removal prices. She paid around $1000 for 4 sessions. Jesus Christ? I recently moved to Columbus and was excited to find Jiva Med Spa for my Botox treatments. I was able to make a same day appointment and the rest was downhill. I waited over 30 minutes for Dr Jiva - without an apology. He did my injections extremely fast and fairly aggressively (mind you, I've been getting Botox for years prior to moving). There was no attempt to retain me as a customer or any follow-up to see how the treatment went. The results were less than stellar too. My right eye drooped for weeks and after less than a month, I have significant movement/wrinkles again. I will not be a repeat customer based on this experience. read more

I changed my review from 2 stars to 1. The burn scar is very prominent and this is after the last BBL healing. I'm pretty upset. I had a consult with Dr. Nanda about a package of 1 Halo laser treatment and 3 BBL laser treatments to treat the flushing on my face from rosacea. I don't have the typical pustules or capillaries in my face from rosacea, just intermittent flushing. During the consult, I mentioned that the rosacea made me uncomfortable and Dr. Nanda responds "well yeah, that's because you have severe rosacea." Embarrassing and awkward. From that point on, I felt like it was just a business transaction and his demeanor was that of a pushy car salesman. He quoted a price which was in line with my research on cost and there was also a special going on. He said we could get started with treatment right then. I should have looked at another facility for a second opinion but I was feeling overly insecure about my face (some comment about severe rosacea?) The first BBL went well, but immediately after it was over I was upsold an expensive after-procedure skincare kit, because of course I was. When I went to pay, the receptionist gave me the total for everything which was $100 cheaper than what I was quoted so I thought that's where the "special" price came in. I paid and didn't get a receipt, which I found tends to be the thing here. When I got home and checked my card, the balance was the original price Dr. Nanda quoted. I called immediately to inquire why the receptionist told me $100 cheaper than what I actually paid and was told that she never said that amount and the special was included in what he quoted me. Great. 2nd procedure was Halo and BBL. During the procedure Dr. Nanda left the wand on my cheek in the same place for too long and I immediately pulled away and said "Ow, ow, ow." No apology, just "oh, that means we are really getting into that rosacea". 2 days after treatment that spot on my face completely sloughs off and oozes pus. I keep it clean and it forms a thick scab which, when it fell off, left a significant scar. Went for my last BBL treatment today and showed Dr. Nanda the scar and talked about how he left the wand there too long and he said that's normal and the scar will go away. During treatment, he's talking to the assistant about something not work-related. I'm sorry, if you're performing a procedure on a client/patient your focus should entirely be on them, especially after I now have a noticeable scar on my face. Also, during treatment he kept asking how much skincare product I had left and if it's enough to get me through until 3 weeks when he sees me to get pictures and talk about a long-term skincare regimen (i.e. try to sell me more expensive BS). I said I had enough product and I'll call to make a follow-up appointment. I have absolutely no intention of going back there for any reason. I didn't expect perfect skin after this, but I definitely didn't get what I paid a ton of money for. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope potential clients read previous reviews about laser burns before choosing treatment here. Paid $100 a session for laser treatment for fungus toenai, had four sessions, my toenails look FAR worse than they did before I had the treatments! I was told it was mandatory to purchase an all natural supplement as well as a specialized toenail polish, an additional $300. when asked why my toenails were not looking any better I was told that 12 sessions total would be needed before I would see an improvement. Very disappointed with the lack of transparency. I have struggled with cellulite my entire life and decided to try the cellfina procedure. In my opinion the procedure either was not done properly or I was not a good candidate which I was told I was after having a phone consultation and sending photos. I was left with severe hematomas that left knots in the treated area along with no reduced appearance of cellulite. This is a $5000.00+ procedure and if someone is not a good candidate they should not be allowing it. They explained this is primarily for the dimpling cellulite and not the kind that looks more rolling. I have both. My dimpled areas are worse now. It has been about 2 years since the procedure was done. When I followed up and inquired about my dissatisfaction they asked if I had gained weight. I workout almost daily and have not gained weight, muscle yes. I mostly want people to be aware that this is NOT WORTH THE MONEY, but they will gladly take your money. It is also said to be minimally invasive, which from the procedure standpoint it is, but the recovery (and maybe it was just me if it was done incorrectly) was not pleasant and I have dealt with the repercussions since. read more

I had a horrible experience here. I wanted part of my tattoo removed. The doctor said it would take 12 sessions to remove. I told him I was only here for another 3 weeks and he said well let's do 1 and really go at it. He charged me, a recent college graduate with no money, $400 for one session. He assured me it would at least fade, but my whole tattoo is fully visible. The original tattoo was no more than $100 and I wanted less than half removed. If he knew it wasn't going to work and told me so, I would have walked out, but instead I was taken advantage of. Absolutely ridiculous. Seemed more like a salesman than a doctor. Do not recommend. Went to Jiva for Jeuveau and I'm pretty sure she injected at least one spot wrong. I have been getting injections for six years now and have never had these issues. I paid $330 with these results, which as you can see are suboptimal. Additionally I had a giant bruise for a week that I have never had before but didn't think to take pictures of that. My injections were 1/27 and today is 2/19. Went back today so that they could fix it and they had me scheduled for the same person. Obviously I didn't want to see her because she is not competent but they told me this was my only choice. Needless to say I left. After 12 treatments of LHR I began to get very frustrated as the hair kept coming back and I was well past the "average 8 treatments" it takes to get rid of hair. I was told that their machines were best in class and that after buying yet another set of treatments, I'd be hair free. After investing hundreds of dollars (more than I was told I'd have to pay)- I decided to take a break and invest dollars elsewhere. A year later, all my hair is back! Even more frustrated and worried that something may be wrong with me, I went for a second opinion at Ideal Image. They informed me that the machines they use are to temporarily shed the hair (as you can see from the NEW verbiage they've added to their website). I called the office three times asking to speak to management and never got a call back. This speaks to the shadiness of the company. I don't think it's fair to pay for a service that you're not truly receiving therefore deserve a refund (or at least a call back!). I highly recommend avoiding this place! read more
