Provided an estimate for trip fee ahead of time in the event I opted not to fox the machine. They we're prompt & knowledgeable when they arrived. My no frills GE washer was already about 8 years old so I figured it was worth the fee to find out if it was repairable as it was only making a rubbing sound & had otherwise been working fine. Turns out it was repairable for about $200 when all was said & done. It was a toss up, $200 to fix or $100 to cut my losses. I opted to fix. I will call them back again. Joe come out and took some measurements and determined that the wiring at the junction box was not correct and an inspection under the house revealed that a rodent had chewed on the wiring and once repaired the oven worked as Joe predicted. My Samsung washer was malfunctioning so I called several companies and glad I chose this company. They sent out a guy named Marcos and he performed some diagnostics, told me the problem, and said that he would have to order 2 parts to fix the suspension (common problem with Samsung washers). But he warned me that doing the repair might not fix the problem and it's up to me what to do. I appreciate that he was straightforward and honest. If I ever have an appliance problem, I know who to call now. Tip: Don't waste your money buying a Samsung appliance. They are fancy as hell but from what others say (including Marcos) not worth it. read more

Really pleased with the service from this business. I was going to finish fixing my dryer "any day now" when my washer stopped working. I decided two broken household appliances called for the professionals. They replied to messages quickly and two techs arrived the next day (on time). The techs were quick, efficient, professional, and polite. I already had a part for the dryer, and the tech was careful to explain the difference in price and warranty using my part vs the company's part. No pressure to go either way, just a clear explanation of the pros and cons. They also gave some tips on how to keep the appliances in good shape in the future. Aside from restaurants, appliance repair is basically the number one kind of project I want to use Yelp for: important enough that I want the best service, but not so frequent that I have "an appliance guy" on speed dial. 100% pleased with my results from JJ Appliance Repair and Yelp on this one. read more

We moved into a new house and hooked up the gas dryer ourselves. We could not get rid of the slight gas smell no matter what we did so we decided it was time to call in the pros. JJs came out and easily fixed the problem. It's so nice to not smell gas in the house anymore! read more

Called in the morning & was told I would receive a call back to let me know when they could come out for the repair. Didn't hear a word from them after 7 hours so I called & was told the manager is handling the appointments and I should hear back for them shortly...no call got a text message saying my appointment will be next week for the repair on my washing machine. If they would of told me in the beginning that I could not be seen till next week I would of went with another company. Taking 7 hours to make me an appointment is ridiculous that should be handled while I was still on the phone. First impression obviously didn't mean a thing to this company. read more

I appreciate the honesty of these guys. I have a Samsung refrigerator (8 years old) that seems to have serious issues (not cooling, not freezing properly, heavy frosting, etc). I provided them the model # and I told them up front I was trying to determine if it was worth fixing or if I should just replace it. They didn't waste my time and money, they promptly suggested replacing it and even helped me determine what brand to replace it with. This is pretty much in line with reviews I've read on line about this Samsung refrigerators but needed to hear it from a reputable appliance company. They even referred me to a local appliance dealer where I was able to find exactly what I wanted for less money than the big box stores. read more

Our KitchenAid dishwasher and GE Profile microwave were not working, and repeated calls to other repair companies were never returned. Laura at JJ Appliance Repair answered my call quickly (on a Sunday afternoon, no less), and put us on the schedule for the next week. Marcos came out and diagnosed both issues. He was very knowledgeable and personable, taking time to explain the problems and the best solution for each. We were able to fix the dishwasher ourselves after Marcos identified the correct part we needed, and he gave us excellent advice about our microwave unit. This company is honest and reliable. This place was amazing! Very quick to respond and reasonably priced. I needed work on both my dishwasher and washing machine after the winter storm. The gentleman that came out promptly fixed my dishwasher. And after asking further questions about my washing machine, he looked out for my best interest and mentioned that I should still have warranty and to try going through them first. It was very telling when he decided to look out for my best financial interest, rather than just working on it for his own. read more

Joe rocks! He answered his phone on Friday at 1:00 pm- always a plus in my book! He said he could make it to my house within an hour. Wow! He didn't charge for my inability to flip the switch on the circuit breakers badly - so my washer works just fine. Yay! Since my ice dispenser hasn't worked for a many months, I asked him to repair it. Within 30 minutes, he told me he could try to make it work temporarily and make do for now or get new parts and not worry in the future. (I had another repairman come a year ago who said the same thing. We made do and the ice dispenser died within a few months). So I opted for new parts! He came back on Monday with new parts and installed it within 10 minutes. Joe is a joy to work with and I recommend him. He is prompt, fast and efficient, and appears to be sincere. My Miele dishwasher was leaking, Contacted JJ appliances and got a response right away. Got a 3-hr time window and a phone call 20 before to let me know that their technician was on his way. Marcos is very knowledgeable and polite. He got our dishwasher working again. He also explained that there is a 30 day warranty on his work. My brand new KOBE Range Cover was rattling and making noise. KOBE caved about paying for the repair after a lot of back and forth and sent a new fan/motor, which was maladjusted when it showed up when JJ Appliance Repair examined the unit--thank goodness--before we tore the Range Cover apart to install it. I got the new unit fixed and Marcos at JJ repaired the range Cover and JJ pointed out that the installer had failed to bolt it in properly or pre-test the original fan/motor. Had two visits total, but only had to pay the initial site visit price once and agreed to their responsible repair charge. read more

I typically call which ever appliance breaks company to come out and fix things if they go bad. Never again, always calling JJ moving forward. Kitchenaid wanted to send 2 guys to fix oven, would of taken 2 weeks to get them to house and that would of just been to diagnose. Price was super high. Called JJ, one gentleman came out and found problem within minutes had part ordered and installed before weeks end. Price was way better as well. Highly recommend these guys! read more

This company is a big rip off. They charge you $160 just to come out to tell you what's wrong with your appliance, my dishwasher wasn't working he said it's doesn't work I can fix it. I asked how much he said the labor cost was $145 and the parts would be whatever they cost plus $160 to to tell him me that it wasn't working, he used a broom handle and knocked it loose and charged me almost $500. I don't suggest using this person if there were less stars I would leave minus. read more

My microwave broke, I called them and they assured me they would be able to fix it. They arrive at my house, look at the display, take 2 minutes to search for the model number and tell me no parts are available for this microwave so nothing can be done. My microwave is a standard model, but the tech said a lot of microwaves they don't sell replacement parts for. Would have appreciated being told this was a possibility in advance or better yet them taking the initiative to look up the microwave in advance instead of spending 2 minutes at my house and charging me a "diagnosis" fee.
