Super fun sports bar type of bar / restaurant Soft opening this week so we had to try it They have an extensive wing menu (2 pages long) with tons of u interesting flavors and levels of heat The wings come in a stainless steel bowl with sauce on top . A bit odd is if you want dip for your wings such as ranch or blue cheese you have to pay a separate charge My son enjoyed his burger very much it was huge for being a "mini" fries come as a side in their own bowl Salad was a salad this is not a salad place They have an extensive bar menu too Lots of televisions with sports on Also have a small game Room for kiddos Service was good waitress were very attentive Parking lot has ample spaces available They take credit card

Large Portion, kids chicken tenders and big bowl of fries.

This place is so amazing. Perfect spot for this side of town. Food was amazing and plenty of servers to go around. Joe and his family did an amazing job with this place. A must visit for Newtown

No. Just no. Poorly cooked chicken wings. Horrendous blue cheese. Wings were overcooked. Blue cheese tasted like mayonnaise.

So today went in person I ordered a coconut curry soup young man who waited on me very polite very helpful brought the soup to me. I was all taken back that it was in a cup and not a regular bowl, but after looking at their menu again I realize that sort of their vibe is to have everything like dish. The soup is very bland. It's definitely mean coconut and curry, but there's no depth to the flavor no five spices no ginger no garlic, fish saucer anything very bland could have used some salt no cumin's came with it. Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, nothing on the side no chili crisp no nothing I couldn't find any cilantro. I did find a one leaf of Thai basil and the onions in the soup were raw and pickled which on a banh mi that's delicious but in a soup it was a little strange so I don't know. Maybe I'll go back for a banh mi but I think I'm gonna pass on this place. However, it's very clean in there and the staff was nice and it looks like the people that like it really like it so maybe your taste are different from mine

Lightning strikes maybe once maybe twice Oh and it lights up…read morethe night And you see you're a gypsy You see you're a gypsy (Gypsy - by Fleetwood Mac) As we walked into today's "Made in CT Expo" at the Durham Fairgrounds, the first thing we did was check out the food trucks because we were starving. I made a beeline for Aurora's Gypsy Café, because I wanted something different and this truck was about as different as could be. Check out the "Psychedelic meets Flea Market" look of their truck. Check out the sweet gypsy costume worn by their very sweet proprietor. And check out their menu for some very, very different types of cuisine. Their website describes their food as "homemade eclectic gypsy food... from North Africa and the Middle East to Eastern Europe and the Native American heritage, we offer dishes inspired by the flavors found on the Spice Road centuries past." So what is gypsy food? Think locally grown exotic meats like Elk, Venison, Wild Boar, Icelandic Lamb, Goat, Galloway and Wagyu Beef, Duck, Quail, and Rabbit. Think lots of locally grown vegetables and beans. I ordered a bowl of Gypsy Stew - a delicious and exotic blend of pork, beef, chorizo, cabbage and three kinds of beans served over wild rice. It was $6 of exotic bliss, made even the more blissful with some of the Gypsy Woman's homemade hot sauce. I loved every exotic morsel... On a side note, the only reason we even heard of the Made in CT Expo was because of Yelp. So it was fitting that as we strolled the grounds, we said hello to four fellow Yelpers that were also there. Ah.... the Power of Yelp..

You can get pretty much everything on rice or a salad. We got the elk burger on a bun. Delicious and full of flavor. We also had the duck and plum on a salad. Again delicious. Take note fellow truck drivers & foodies alike. This dude is throwing down on some good eats. He is conveniently located on a corner where there is room for trucks to park! Bonus in our world. So many places with good food miss out on big money because of lack of parking for trucks. Just saying. I stopped here with a friend of mines who ordered the grilled cheese because she's a vegetarian. But not I! I'm an omnivore all the way, leaning more to the carnivore in me. This is where Billy excels. Billy has great meat! Did I say that?! Yeah I did, but I mean it. His burger was delicious & he makes a mean cheesesteak hero. Also be sure to ask for his special sauce. Really, do it! I was wiping my plate clean. Although I cannot personally vouch for his sausage, because I didn't taste it, but it did look really good. He will be adding specials so stop by & see what the wonder chef is cooking. Hey Armani, I've told the masses now show them what you're made of! 5-29-2016
