Just wanted to give a shout-out to Jason for a great repair job on my bike. My chain slipped off the sprocket recently and I emailed Jason to see if he could come out and reset it and make sure it's aligned on the right gears, etc. He responded promptly and we set up a protocol to make sure we maintained appropriate social isolation distance. I recently acquired a "free" bike that had been left outside for a long time. The twist shifters were frozen up & it just needed a general service after neglect. I've been putting off getting my bike repaired for a while, because I didn't really have a way to get it to a bike shop, actually called a few bike shops in town to see if they did pick up and delivery and to my surprise no I called had that service. Finally heard about JJ mobile bike repair, and called him up. He came out to my house the next day and tuned up my Marin street bike, super happy with work and super happy to have my bike back on the road. Service was just like taking it to a bike pro in town, but 1/2 the cost, and I didn't have to bug a friend with a truck for a ride. I always appreciate when a company can fit me in on a weekend or last minute. That's always a bonus! This company fit me in, again, last minute, on a weekend. Not sure if it's the norm with this company but it was much appreciated. I've never hired a mobile repair for bikes so don't know how price compares but I had no issue with what I was charged and even left a gratuity. JJ was really great to work with. Our bike was mailed to us and during assembly I did a less than desirable job putting it together. JJ was prompt in communicating with me and was great working around any COVID-19 concerns. When he got here to fix our bike he talked me through what he saw and helped to see what was going on. Jason was gracious enough to take the time to drive all the way out to the back lanes of North Bend to fix up my two old lady bikes for riding season. If someone shows up at your apt at the same time you're expecting JJ's Mobile Bicycle Repair at your home for bike repair and sets to work on your bike after waving hello to you and affirming, upon being asked, that he was the 'bike guy' there to work on your bike (presumably, I imagined, sent by Jason in his stead) BUT the guy looks a little homeless, borrows YOUR tools to work on bike, arrives in a bike himself...DO NOT DO WHAT I DID. Hand over your Giant bike and let the self-proclaimed 'bike guy' tinker on bike unsupervised. Long story short, the real 'bike guy' Jason, shows up and outs the homeless guy who, out of a strange coincidence, was resting with his bike in the shade outside my apt at same time I was expecting Jason to fix my bike, reason for my confusion. Jason finished job homeless guy began and, in an act of charity and kindness, divvied up his fee with other guy for work he'd already done on my bike. Other guy, also donated my tire lever to himself as either an extra tip or as memento of the day during pandemic he was inadvertently recruited to work on a bike and bicycled away with a portion of Jason's fee and my tire lever. By the way, Jason did a great job, finished work on my bike and reviewed work homeless guy did for good measure. Jason was a good sport about the impostor, about the mistaken identity confusion on my part. Jason's not just a professional, or a good bike repairer. He's a good person. My husband and I are recreational bike-riders that both drive sedans. When my bike needed a tune up and my husband's needed some more serious work, we weren't really sure what to do. I didn't want to rent a truck or find a way to haul both bikes into a shop for repair, and I definitely didn't want to spend a ton of money on two box-store bikes. Jason came out to tune up the used bike I bought. After watching his skill and his willingness to explain what he was doing and how, I felt very much at ease with his expertise. He pretty much disassembled the bike, cleaned and lubricated everything then reassembled it. He trued the wheels which through normal use were just a little off. Same with the lifter. All done with meticulous care while explaining why he was performing the specific maintenance. The bike looks and rides like what I presume it did when new. One of my shifter cables broke on the way into work and the bike was stuck in a high gear which would have made it pretty hard to get home with the hills. You no longer have to go to a bike shop to have your bike serviced, Jason is your guy. He will go to you to service your bicycle or replace any parts. I gave Jason a call and scheduled to service, and replace the handle bars, shifter and brake cables of my road bike. We agreed on the price and He came to my office and did all that in couple of hours. He did a superb job. All these without the hassle of dropping and picking up my bike in a regular shop. read more

I have nothing but praise for Jason and his mobile bicycle repair. He was easy to schedule with and showed up on time. My shifting cable had broken on my Terry road bike and it was in need of repair as well as an overdue tune up. Jason came over and found that The shifter actually was toast and needed replacement. He did an assessment on my bike and gave me a list of some other items that were due to be replaced (chain, cassette etc). I was able to take advantage of some good cyber Monday specials and reschedule with Jason. Once again he was on time, he is knowledgeable and skilled and just a very nice guy. I am back on my bike again and it is riding great, I didn't realize how much my bike was needing some love til I actually had it fixed.
