The worst worst worst experience! I found a place I wanted to rent, a perfect place. It was ready sooner than we were wanting to move but if i didn't take it, that great deal was going to someone else. So i put everything I had together to make the deposit, they called me 4 times in 1 day to let me know I had been approved & when can I make the deposit. Each call was from a different person & each person told me I had 15 days after I made the deposit to make 1st months rent. I should've taken that as a red flag that they don't communicate well! So I went in the next day to drop off my deposit to be told rent is due on the 1st which was in a week..... well the last 4 people I spoke to said I had 15 days?? They didn't care who said what, either I paid or they'd give it away.... well that sucks! Ok so what choice do I have at that point unless I wanted to keep looking.... During the week I had called the office about 2 or 3 times to ask questions, so there were many opportunities to tell me anything they needed to tell me. Then I get a call at 230pm Thursday asking when I can come drop off the 1st months rent & sign.....I said anytime tomorrow (Friday) oh well your husband has to be present or we can't give you the keys..... huh?? why didn't anyone tell me that before?? Fridays are bad for him bc he works 8-5 all the way in Glendora.... So now what?? No one told me he had to be present, I could've sent him earlier in the week when it was more convenient. So now all the arrangements that I made (ei: fridge, washer, dryer delivery, babysitters, I'm 7 months pregnant with twins so all the people who took time from their busy schedules to help me move & clean) all that goes down the garbage bc JLE didn't communicate what they needed to to me. I tried calling and making some other arrangements with Marths but they had the same if you can't do it, oh well we'll move down the list attitude! No sympathy for my situation, no help offered to fix their lack of communicating, nothing. Just a big Oh well it's your problem attitude!! I hope one day the employees there experience what I did so they know how it feels! read more

JLE Property management is a great company to rent from. They take care of a large area in the Southern California area so they can help you find an apartment for your particular needs. All the ladies there are very friendly and are very accessible if you have any problems. I moved out because of a job in central california and they made the transition easy and pain free. They handle maintenance very quickly and work with them to get all your needs taken care of. I would recommend renting from this property management. Thank you JLE. read more

If you are not brown you won't get the property! We found this company discriminates against non-Hispanic applicants. We were told by the management firm as well as the landlord/owner we were awarded the property. Within one day we were told they had rented the property to someone else (who happens to be hispanic). Keep in mind we had been a tenant in the same complex for over ten years with perfect payment history! I was disguested by their unprofessional and discriminatory practices. The property remains to have vacancies due to the horrible management in place. Landlords beware if you hire JLE you will need to purchase a Tenant Discrimination Liability Policy because you will be sued. I have been looking for the perfect apartment for the last couple of months. I came across a listing on JLE's website and called immediately. The receptionist, Dana, was so helpful and set up an appointment for me to view the unit the very next day. Ryan showed me the unit and was so informative and answered all my questions on the spot. He gave me an application and all the paper work I would need. Unfortunately, I didn't want qualify for this unit. It was out of my budget. I just felt I needed to write a review because having to deal with different property management companies recently this is the only company that actually seemed like they really wanted to help me find something. This is a stressful time trying to relocate and they made the process very easy for me. I had a very good experience from the very beginning. Called and spoke to Ryan about a property I was interested in and was told it was still available. Made an appointment to see the property and was given all the information up front as to what I would need if I wanted to put in an application. To my surprise I was also greeted by Ryan the day I went to see the place . He was absolutely great with us. He answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. We told him we were interested in putting in our applications . Advised us what our next step would be. He then asked us if we would excuse him for a minute .. he called the office without us knowing and being that there was still time to make it to the office he made sure we could go in to drop off our applications. Less than 72 hours later I received a call from Ryan letting us know that the place was already rented . Now to be fair He did tell us before hand that there was an application that was turned in before us. That to me was very considerate of him and honest. He then asked if we were interested in seeing any of the other properties and that he could meet us at our convenience or we can go by to pick up the money orders for the credit check. Said he didn't run our credit and wanted to check with us before he did. He went over some of the properties he had available unfortunately none of them met our needs. He went above and beyond what any other property management company would do. Most other companies would have ran our credit even though the property was already rented. I will definitely keep them in mind next time we are looking for a place. I absolutely would recommend friends and family to start with them. Honest from the very beginning . At first it was ok. Then you start to see all of the cracks in their operation. Avoid at all costs. They also stole $225.00 of my money for "cleaning". I left the place spotless. The landlord is responsible for regular cleaning between tenants.. not the tenant. Bullshit. Their places are over priced as well. You'll regret your decision... I would give zero stars. Property management is horrible. When you move in they wait for 6 months to kick you out giving you a notice without reason. The down payment was $995 after they rip you off for cleaning the apartment they only give you $200 back. The apartment was spotless when we left but they don't care they rip you off! Its so unfair! People smoke weed in the complex and they do nothing about it. You also get harassed by your neighbors. Don't rent with them they are horrible people ! Put your money somewhere else! read more

Back in 2007 my mother and I rented an apartment through JLE and we worked with Darla. From the start we realized she is such a great person and hard worker. We ended up moving and didn't keep in contact for a couple of years. Until the year 2013 when we rented out a town home and turns out it was through JLE Management! She remembered and as well as we did. She worked with us to move in to the town home, for our lease, and most importantly she until this day take care of us! Whenever we have an issue with our town home she is on it and takes care of it right away. I will forever be grateful with her and please with JLE management! :) read more

I don't normally take time out to write a review but I felt this was much deserved. So I have been a tenant at one of the properties managed by this company for over eight years. Always paid my rent on time, no problems or complaints or any issues for that matter. Well after my relationship ended with my boyfriend whose name was on the lease, we had agreed that he would be moving out of the apartment so he signed a letter stating his intent to have his name removed from the lease upon the stated move out date which was dated more than 45 days in advance. The office contacted me about the requirements for qualifying for the apartment on my own so after completing the application and submitting the necessary paperwork more 30 days before my ex was due to be removed from the lease, I still had not received any notice of the status of my application. After contacting the office and speaking to Donna (I think????) which is in charge of processing rental applications, I finally received a phone call days later confirming the approval of my application which happened to be the day after my ex's supposed final day. Well I hurried down to the the office a couple hours later and signed the new lease. After requesting a copy of the signed lease, I was advised a copy would be mailed to me after the leasing manager, Donna???, signed the lease also. Well I went straight home to find that my ex had broken into my apartment after realizing the locks had been changed already. I advised him of my signing a new lease already and that he needed to remove the remainder of his things at that time. He refused and said that he had changed his mind on moving because he had not found a new place. I told him it was too late and he was no longer allowed in the apartment. He then rushed off and no sooner than 15 minutes later I received a phone call from JLE's Donna???? and her supervisor Denise???? stating that they had received a letter from my ex rescinding his intent to move. Shocked from what was happening, I stayed calm and kindly requested the date of this supposed letter. I received no answer and was told that they did not have to tell me anything and that the lease I signed was no longer being honored. If there was any truth to what they were saying then why was my application processed and then approved by the leasing manager? Why did the leasing agent call me to have me come and sign the new lease? The leasing manager and her supervisor said to me that they did not owe me an explanation about anything and that my problem was a roommate issue and not their problem. This was the last thing that was said to me before they hung up the phone. Thanks to them not following protocol, I now have a roommate who won't leave and hasn't paid rent since this all took place. I now have to find a new apartment to move my 2 kids and myself. Not to mention the upcoming battle for the return of my deposit after I finally move, because these crooks are known for keeping tenants' deposits for any and every reason possible. I had a very recent and awful experience with this company....In particular with Denise. I was interested in a property located in Lakewood, CA. I contacted her to view the property ....I went by myself and we looked around a bit and discussed move in dates and the security deposit amount.....Security deposit was advertised at $1800. I informed Denise that we had a rough time during the economic crisis a few years ago and our credit was sub par....I told her what the score was and she said...it was "fair" and should be no problem. I later spoke with my husband about it and we decided it may be a little small and to keep looking. When nothing else came up in the area I asked her again to see the property and she was so happy to show it to us again. Claiming she was so disappointed when we had decided not to move forward because we were the perfect tenants for this owner "Just what she is looking for"... I had prepared my apps, copies of driver's licenses, and paystubs + the $60 for our credit check in advance. When we got there we showed my husband around and started discussing security deposit...Now all of a sudden because my credit isn't excellent "The owner may ask for $2,500." (WHAT? $700 above advertised, and this was never mentioned before!). I specifically said I was not willing to go any higher that $2100-$2200. She said she was sure it would all work out. Within the next couple of day she called me and said the owner wants $2,500 for security deposit. To which I responded that absolutely was not going to happen. She then copped an attitude "Well, I told you she may want that much, so......" and I responded "I clearly told you I was not willing to pay more than $2100-$2200." I explained that I would not be moving forward with this rental....She called me about 15 min later asking if $2,000 would be OK.....I should have went with my better judgment. I already had a feeling that she was playing games and just trying to get more money out of me, but I went ahead with it anyway.....I then clearly asked her if the owner was firm with this deposit amount and ok with what I had disclosed about my credit.....She said yes the deposit amount was in stone and the owner was aware and ok with my credit situation. So I gave her the go ahead to take my $60 and run my credit under the assumption that as long as I was honest (which I most certainly was) everything would be fine. Next day I called to check in and was informed the owner would be looking over the credit report before I was approved. fast forward to 3pm today. I receive a call that I have been DENIED after all of what we had discussed......I specifically asked her to OK the amount of the security deposit AND my credit situation......Not to mention the excuse given was absurd....The owner didn't like one of the loans that was defaulted on. Anyhow, my husband then called and politely asked that we be refunded...and not even the whole amount. He said keep what it actually cost you to run the credit I just want what would have been profit. I believe this was a fair request......She denied that request stating if she did it for us she would have to do it for everyone and that we should have just went with our instinct and bailed on it when the owner asked for a higher deposit. After my husband claimed she was being unfair and doing bad business so he was going to write a bad review on yelp she pretty much flipped out and yelled and then hung up on him. In conclusion: do not do business with this company....they play games, lie, and cheat you out of whatever money they can. Not to mention the astounding unprofessionalism. read more

I wish I could give zero stars for this unorganized property management company. Ryan showed us an apartment and we liked it so we took our application with the money for the credit check to the office and told us they were going to get back to us after the credit check. Three days went by and we never got a call back. I called them and they told me they couldn't find our application. The receptionist told me to call back the next day to speak with Margie who took our application and money for the credit check. I called the next morning and Margie still couldn't find our application. After a few minutes on hold, she finally found our application in the "approved" file. I was so happy that we got it. She then told us to come in with the deposit and first months rent and fill out the paperwork that evening so that we could move in that weekend. A few hours later she calls my boyfriend and tells him that there was a mix up. That the apartment we applied for has already been approved for another applicant. WTF?!? So they ran our credit for an apartment that wasn't going to be ours anyway. They proceeded to tell us that they have another unit that is going to be available but is more expensive then the one we first saw. This is the worst experience I have gone through. Charlotte or Darla at the front desk is so rude and hangs up on you when you're trying to get answers. STAY AWAY, I REPEAT STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will give you nothing but stress and headaches. read more
