I typically go to discount tire right down the street from them, but they had a longer wait time. since it was an emergency, I decided to stop in here. I got a nail in my tire just two blocks away from them, thought it would be a quick fix. After waiting for over an hour, I was told my tires were too bald ( not true) for the repair. Mind you I had a vehicle inspection at my dealer two weeks prior and they said my tires were still in good condition. They would be the first ones to recommend Tires if they were showing major signs of wear. They knew I was desperate, I was late picking up my child from practice and it was getting dark, I wasnt just going to roll out of there on the flat. They said they did not want to be liable in case something happens to that tire due to it being bald. ( there should be waivers for this) I definitely feel like I was taken advantage of being a female. The technician came out with a quote for a full set of tires, $1500. Something I never asked for. I simply wanted a Repair and was forced to buy a brand new tire. Another thing I didn't like is that they went through my truck to search for the rim keys, I don't know if this is normal, but I felt like they should have asked me where they were before start searching through my belongings.

Immediately after leaving every service visit to this location, and putting up with his BS attitude, I tell myself it was the last. Totally my fault for continuing to go back but that has ended now. My most recent experience (today) occurred after I scheduled an oil change online indicating that I would be waiting at the facility while car was being serviced. Apparently, my telling him I was going to wait, which is what I previously indicated when I submitted my request online, wasn't going to work for him. With a disgusted eye roll he told me it would be "a while" until it was ready. After asking multiple times how long was "a while" he said 2-3 hours. This was after he told the women in front of me hers would be 30-40 minutes. This is just the latest, and not the worst, experience I have had with Mike. I will never waste my time with Pep Boys again.

One lady updated a worker on her daughter getting job, another customer talked with the same employee about birthday parties for their children.. calling people by their first name, having family conversations, and making calls on behalf of your car, sets them apart from any car shop I have been to!
