If you live in Connecticut, A&M is the ONLY place to take your Volvo. I had an ABS issue with my 2004 XC90. I took it to the dealer, and they wanted more $$$ than the car was worth to fix it. I took it to a local mechanic, he read the ODB readout, scratched his head and just told me to sell it. A&M on the other hand was both KNOWLEDGEABLE and AFFORDABLE. Since they only work on Volvos, they had seen the same problem before. And because they aren't a dealership, they were able to recommend a value-add solution that involved replacing a few parts, and sending out the main control unit to a specialty vendor for a rebuild. I cannot stress how helpful, knowledgeable and professional Kim and her husband are. A&M is truly a diamond in the ruff...a family run business (their son is in training at the shop) that specializes in Volvos and prides itself on honesty and the quality of their work.

The interior of my car became flooded up to my ankles. I drove around looking for a place that would hopefully be able to at least get the inside dry so that it wouldn't start to stink in my car. I happened upon One Stop, and instead of making me feel like a jack@$$, which would have been well-warranted, they were very helpful and vacuumed out the interior of my car. The floor mats needed extra time, and so they offered to hang them up in the shop for a couple days free of charge.
