This used to be my go two. J&R we're honest and trusted... until they sold the business. It's now under new ownership, and I can't say nearly the same for the new owners. First off, he actually left my car in worse condition than when I brought it in. He insisted we needed new tires, telling us they were unsafe, and led us to believe that they would blow out just driving our son to school. He gave us an "all-in" price to replace the tires and even waived the labor. Then magically charged us $200+ more than the all in price that he previously guaranteed. He tried to BS and take advantage of my wife thinking she didn't know, until she called him out on being that her father and brother work with cars (out of state unfortunately, or we would have brought it to them). His prices were ridiculous, and we even called him out on that too because we called the tire place he sends the cars to for the tire changes, and caught him in a mother lie. More and more lies, more and more rip offs and BS charges... just stay away. He screwed up our dashboard panel and can't doesn't know how to fix it He claims to have switched out a bulb that is still out Worst of all, mechanics smoked in the car, and for 3 weeks now, I've been trying to get the smell of smoke out of my car. Go to Penfield Service Center instead. This guy is as bad as they come. I'd be surprised if he stays in business long. read more

We were driving back to NYC in our VW eos when our engine light went on. The manual said to take it immediately to a mechanic. Yelped the closest auto repair, and thankfully it was Euro Auto. The owner, Fernandes, scanned the engine and identified the problematic system right away. He said we could safely make it back to NY. He reviewed with us where the potential issue might be and coached us on what to ask when we brought it in to be repaired. He told us that we could have the other mechanic call him and he would make sure that we weren't talked in to having unnecessary work done. He went above and beyond given that we were not having it repaired there. We wished we could!!! As a single woman, I've been around the block more times than I care to mention with unscrupulous garages who took advantage of my trust and naiveté. I have poured hundreds of dollars into mechanical work that didn't need to be done (including a new transmission!) and work that somehow needed to be done AFTER the car had been worked on. Once, upon realizing that I was being duped, I called the garage to say I would be picking up my car and no longer needed their service. I was told that it would be impossible as the car was completely taken apart and they were leaving for the day. That evening, a friend drove me over with an extra key. My car was plainly visible and wholly intact, in their parking lot. Naturally, I drove it off their lot and never used them again, but so disheartened to think that an honest garage might not exist in the area. Until, at the referral of a (single, female) friend, I discovered Euro Automotive, and I will never go anywhere else ever again! From day one, my feelings of doubt and mistrust were dispelled by the kindness, attentiveness and quiet confidence of Joe, the owner. The site is impeccably clean and organized, but more importantly, the service is thorough, fast and and the costs are fair and extremely reasonably. Moreover, on several occasions when I had to stop in unexpectedly with issues such as loose bumpers or software problems, they were resolved while I waited and at times, not even charged. I stumbled on this shop when trying to get to Maryland (from Mass) to help my mom who was just getting out of the hospital. My car broke down with a problem that let me drive it far enough to find a shop. Luckily I found Euro Automotive and the great staff there! After explaining my predicament and that my other option was to rent a car and leave mine at the shop for an extended period, they were nice enough to take a look to see what could be done. The repair ended up not being too difficult and I was on my way quicker than I could have imagined!
