A close friend had introduced me to this place years ago. We decided to go here for his 1 year death anniversary. The staff was friendly, even though they were extremely busy, the food was very reasonable, and our serving size was large. I wanted a fish fry, but unfortunately they only have those on a Friday. That being the case, I decided to get the chicken fingers, which were good. We were both huge fans of the french fries. I'm very picky when it comes to breakfast foods, mostly because I'm picking on how my eggs are cooked and the way my home fries are. They did a fantastic job! I got the garbage breakfast plate (home fries, eggs, corned beef hash, country gravy), with wheat toast. It was really good, my eggs weren't well done but they did pretty good though, but other than that my food was amazing. I definitely want to come back for lunch/dinner. My buddy ordered the two eggs, choice of meat, home fries and toast. He said his food was outstanding! I really like this place. Been coming here on and off for years. Very inviting and the carvings and woodsy feel are great. Can't say I've ever had anything I didn't like. The service is always good and courteous. Very clean and the bathrooms are kept tidy. Chicken Caesar wrap was tasty and the Mac and cheese was very generous. My only grumble is I don't care much for the liquid coffee. It's not a horrible product, but it's not good coffee. No problem, I'll have a pop instead. Stopped for lunch today with some friends. The place was packed but running smoothly. I had split pea soup which was tasty. Another had the roasted red pepper with crab and also French onion. All the soup was hot and delicious. The portions here are very generous. My A-1 burger was rare as requested and came with a huge mound of fries. Also ordered was a BLT, a chicken wrap and a turkey Reuben. We have gone here for a weeknight when we just didn't feel like making dinner for the family, and when my wife and I just needed a date night. For me (man of the family): the ribs are some of the best I've had ever, with generous portions, great seasoning and a multiple-day slow smoking process. Just fantastic. We know some of the servers - they work here and have their jobs day jobs in the community, so it's nice to see them and say hi. Friendly place, low-key, prices are competitive considering everything these days. read more

Great place! Let me start by saying this place feels like I should be on an adirondack vacation in a log cabin tucked away in the woods! The wood carvings in this place (some you can buy at the counter) are excellent! What a nice little place this is. The food here is very good. The soup of the day was cheeseburger and it was excellent! Tasty and piping hot! As for dinner I opted again for chicken fingers here they gave you a choice of potato with so I went with the sweet potato waffle fries! The food arrived promptly and it was hot!! I mean fresh off the grill hot! Excellent delivery!! The meal turned out great because of this. Others in my party had a chicken Cobb salad which was huge and another had a roast beef sandwich which was good as well. The staff here is pretty friendly as is the atmosphere here. Great little find. My friend took me here and it was great. We both got cheeseburgers and fries and shared a basket of onion rings. Oh my! Couldn't even finish half of my burger. Half the onion rings were also left. It was just so much food. All of it great. The burgers were fresh meat, hand packed and thick! Fries and onion rings were perfectly cooked. Joandys is a regular Restraunt for my husband and myself. We love that you get good quality food and a lot of it(enough really for another meal). Their variety of specials changes daily. They usually have prime rib on Saturdays and it is the best prime rib around. Their fish fries are tops also. They have baked, regular fried and my favorite, potatoe chip crusted. Now most places for breakfast, the potato isn't included and they charge you, or you get everything and don't get a lot, not here. The second time I went here I went on a Friday and got a Fish Fry. First of all,for your potato side, they have the typical fries, mashed, baked potato..BUT they also have sweat potato and sweet potato waffle fries. I just got fries, but my friend gets the sweet potato waffle fries everytime and she loves them. They have a potato chip crust fish fry and your regular beer battered, I got the regular. It was very good. Once again the portions are crazy! You can get a half or a full size. I got the half and it was the size of most places normal fish fry, maybe even bigger. I can't even imagine what the full looks like. I also got french onion soup and that was very good as well. You definitely get your moneys worth and more for some EXCELLENT quality food. I can't believe I've lived within 30 miles of this little gem and never knew of its existence! We went with a friend for Friday night Fish fry. I had the Potato-chip crusted - delicious and huge. I brought home half to eat the next day. My husband had the Beer battered and proclaimed it outstanding. Stellar moments included the roll spread with honey-butter, (oh so yummy) and the Lobster Bisque, (to die for) The service was quick, attentive and friendly. We will return again and again. The best tasting batter fried fish, best broiled fish, and best potato chip crusted fish dinner anywhere. The choices of potato, macaroni and cole slaw were by far the best yet. Living in Buffalo, numerous places exist for food however anyone searching for the most outstanding meal to add onto their Bucket List must take advantage of this place. Service and cleanliness is outstanding. What are you waiting for. PS.Did try meal during week, Prime rib sandwich special. I would give it a three. No comparison to Fridays feast. I did not want the sandwich to influenece my score above to a well deserved WOOHOO for Friday. Never ever had a bad Fry. So far ten perfect dinners. Told numerous friends. My new favorite restaurant! A hidden jewel. I cannot believe how I have missed this place for so long after being so close for getting gas next door. I have literally been to this place 4 times in the past 3 weeks. Never a disappointment. Staff is friendly...always welcoming. I took my friend and she had the chopped sirloin special for 10 dollars what she said was really good. Brown gravy with the mashed potatoes just like old times growing up. I have had the salmon on Friday nights two times I've been there. Grilled with the right amount of seasoning. The shrimp scampi special was big enough to feed two people. Wow, I've heard good things about this place, but maybe they were just having a bad day. Just found out the "other" restaurant on the rez stopped taking credit cards and that's all i had, so went to HNC. Wanted to get take out, so i chose the "special"-Sloppy joe, cole slaw and choice of potato (was hoping "choice" might have included mashed, but they were all versions of french fries-some choice!) Did not think it was possible to make a bad sloppy joe, but it was way too vinegary without a hint of smoky sweet, plus when NO COLE SLAW!-of course it was a take-out order and i live about an hour away so the joke was on me! Chose sweet potato waffle fries that were OK at best, but i think they were just store-bought frozen. Had to spend $10 to use credit card so the "Indian Taco" looked interesting. What was even MORE interesting was that the waitress told me they were out of the normal frybread that goes with it, but since it's "tasteless" (her word), that i was better off with the sourdough bread that they were substituting! I like sourdough, but couldn't really taste it under the mass of mealy meat and beans that were poured over it. Would have been better off with just a plain burger-not sure what they are trying to accomplish with this dish! Unfortunately, the best part of the meal was the chewy roll (I'm assuming purchased from an outside vendor) that came with the Sloppy Joe and the pickle.
