This was my first visit to Joann Fabrics and Crafts and have to say it was a great experience overall. It took me a moment to find an employee but once I did, they assisted me in my search for the item I was looking for. The item I was looking for was not on the shelf, the employee who was helping me had to contact another employee to find the item I was looking for. That person did locate the item in question. From there I had to get it cut to a smaller size since I didn't need the whole sheet of material. I had to wait like 10 minutes since there was a line for that service. I say that cuz it won't show u coupons for the stuff. I didn't see the magazine but no biggie. I always got my phone to do a bar code scan n look up web coupons. Slapped a 25% on my shirt ink. So yeah just in case you don't know, they doing a mayor warehouse discount event next week: save up to 60% off so don't miss out on them paints and equipments! Check the the app for details. The store felt very disorganized, likely due to relocating items. I came for a small product the website said was in stock, but it was nowhere to be found. Despite asking three polite employees, no one checked further than pointing to the same wall I'd already searched. Frustrating experience--small items easily get lost during transitions, and more effort from staff would've made a big difference. read more

We wanted to pitch in and make masks for health care workers and Joann Fabrics is supposed to be supplying kits for people to make them, per why they are allowed to be open. We waited in line for an hour while people were let in a few at a time for social distancing. The line went all the way back to the Publix. The highlight of our long wait was a very happy woman with a shopping cart full of goodies loudly letting all of us know the liquor store next door did not have a line. Smiles and laughter ensued. Well, when we got in they were out of the wicking and the elastic to make masks and had "None" in the store. Hmm, okay. (I don't think they had any kits) I wanted the family to make our own masks to be safe while grocery shopping and when I have to go into the office anyway, so we made a plan. Dense fabric sections , no flannel, from the sale area, ribbon (with some flex) woven cord and cotton batting. (you need a barrier and cloth only is not good protection for you) We found every thing we needed and made our way to check out. I had a 20% off coupon and the cashier was very friendly My disappointment about the health care workers mask kits, we did not get to make and donate, is why my review isn't 5 stars. My Mom has been into crochet lately so we have been coming here quite a bit for supplies such as yarn and other goods. The main issue is that they advertise deals on the counters and then when you go the register they don't want to honor said deals. I'm sort of in a habit of photographing the discounts now, but our last visit it happened again. The clerk was arguing with us about the deal and then just gave it to us because a manager wasn't around, but there's really no reason prices should not reflect what's advertised. It's not good customer service. Also as other people mentioned, the line to get out of the store is usually painfully long. read more

I felt like a big dumb idiot (well, moreso than usual) wandering around in here looking for fabric. Kinda dingy and really understaffed, but everyone I talked to was extremely friendly. I get it , we are all stressed about corona virus, but the way they are treating all of the people keeping them in business is absolutely ludicrous. Since they totally redecorated , this store is horrendous. Very confusing, many items no longer available and cant find anything because everything is intertwined with items they dont go with. Gone are puzzles, crochet pattern books, etc. Hobby Lobby or Michaels it is for me now. Not returning, hate this store now which is too bad because this was my local go to yarn store. This crafting chain is great at supplying an enormous array of thread and fabrics for the seamster/seamstress of all levels. In addition to the supplies in their namesake, there's plenty other crafting to be had here. Kids crafts, painting and drawing supplies, beading, and scrap booking supplies just to name a few. There's even a whole framing section to make your art shine once you've polished it and want to show it off. There's usually holiday related tchotchkes sections and if you're into that kind of thing you can pick up little placards with cute holiday greetings to decorate your home. I don't feel like there are a ton of bargains here everyday, and some of the coupons come with big purchase restrictions. Better off looking and purchasing on Amazon for some of their items. read more

If there was an alternative anywhere within 15-20 miles I would not go to Joann Fabrics. However, the people who work there are generally nice and in some cases really great, and mostly helpful. If you go there be prepared to stand in a line, and if you are purchasing fabric be prepared to stand in two lines. Tip: Make sure you take a number when you go to the fabric counter. The number dispenser is to the left. Another tip: get your fabric and get your number first, and then shop around for your notions and other items while you're waiting for your number to be called. Yet another tip: Come with a friend and have them stand in the checkout line while you get your stuff. If they somehow get to the front of the line before you have your stuff they can just let people in front of them until you get there. read more

I purchased some photo albums online and the items delivered were significantly larger than described on the website. I went to this store to return the items. As is typical for this location, there was a long line and only one register open. After a long wait, a second employee finally arrived but was put out by having to help. Joann.com imposes significant shipping charges that they do not refund for any reason. I pointed out that the product was not the one described on the website. The employee refused to look into this and argued with me instead. I will never shop on their website again. Most disturbing is that Joann.com edits reviews and only publishes the favorable ones. read more

Crafting is my relaxation time. I love that you can come to Joann and find all sorts of supplies from flowers, to fabric along with beads and scrapbooking. They run some pretty decent sales from time to time. I have the app so my coupons are all in one place along with they offer a 10% military discount. The store was a little disarray however I find it gets extremely busy in spurts. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Joann's. I like to sew and there's not a lot of fabric stores that sell such a large selection of notions and fabrics. Their sells are pretty good too. BUT, man they really need some additional support in their fabric section. Weekends are impossible; I don't ever go at the weekend. Just cutting fabric can take an hour. Standing in the line to check out is another 15-20 minutes. Today, same experience, but on a Tuesday. Really? and the cutting person was going.....really.....slowly....:( I had to abandon my cart and leave all my fabric because I had been waiting 40 minutes and was still 5 numbers away from being called! Popping out on my lunch break to pick up some fabric is a no-no, apparently. I wish they could rearrange the store and add a couple of more cutting tables and the staff as well, esp on big sale days. Sadly, I'll have to go back and try again...If there was anywhere else, I'd go there. read more
