Stranded while chaperoning 30 kids at the Holocaust Museum, teacher preferred pizzas that was not delivered. I took a chance and called--even though Joe's doesn't deliver. What happened next was incredible. They personally rushed over three large pies in just 12 minutes. That level of kindness and care is rare, and it made all the difference in a stressful moment. When I lived in Greenwich Village, I was about a block from the first Joe's location. Obviously, I had a lot of slices in my day there. So I was very pleased to see a location pop-up in South Beach that mostly captures the original's essence. Cheese Slice: Always like getting a plain cheese as a benchmark slice, so it's not biased by toppings. There's was classic NYC style. I recall the original Village location being a tad saucier, but this was still fine. Pepperoni Slice: A pretty solid slice. The sauce was memorable, like the original location, with that nice tangy and sweet flavor. I think they use the good stuff. The dough was a little a floppy, instead of that firmed crisper base, but maybe they didn't reheat long enough. Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom, Onions Slice: A bit shocking to pay $7.63 for a slice. It was a classic mix of toppings. Though I might prefer the more basic cheese or just pepperoni. Fresh Mozzarella Slice: The dough base on this one was perfectly crisp here. However, the areas of exposed sauce dried out. But the bits covered in fresh mozzarella were perfect. Sicilian Slice: It was decent, but not their strong suit. Kind of like focaccia with some sauce and cheese on top. Think I'll stick with the thin slices going forward. read more

Perfect for a couple of late night slices! We were walking back to Lincoln rd from the boat show after it closed for the night, and I remembers Joes had opened up nearby... on the way in fact! Stopping for a couple clicks and a soda proved to be the perfect idea. We had a spinach slice and two combo slices. Perfectly heated, delicious crust with a nice chew, great toppings! This joes went all out for Halloween which is a favorite holiday of mine. I share a white slice and a regular cheese with my partner. We recently tried the margarita which was fresh! Joe's was a great and fast place to get a quick dinner. The pizza was crispy and delicious. I had the pepperoni, margarita and meat. My favorite was the margarita as it had the tangy flavor that reminded of Italian dressing. I was able to finish them all. The fresh ingredients they use definitely contributed to the amazing flavor. The place is nicely decorated with pictures of all the famous celebrities that eaten at Joes. It's remarkable and I can see why it's celebrated. Joe's Pizza has officially opened in Lincoln Road by Meridian Ave. The shop is bigger than the Wynwood one with more seating inside and even outside. There's even a Meridian mural inside the shop which is a nice touch. Staff are super kind and friendly. Some of the pizza looks fresh, some doesn't so make sure to ask in case the pie you want might be coming out of the oven fresh. I shared two slices, one was the classic cheese and the other was the white. Both were great, fresh, and crispy. The white is delicious and has a generous portion of ricotta. The cheese was the NY classic, crunchy and with a tasty red sauce. The decor is your classic Joe's with all the celeb pictures hung on the wall. You've got lots of pizza options and then a few water and soda choices in the fridges. Will definitely be back soon! read more

I came here to grab dinner and was immediately intrigued by the amount of pictures on the wall. It was so interesting seeing the amount of celebrities the staff had pictures with. To eat, I tried the mozzarella with tomatoes pizza and one with onions, mushroom and pepperoni. They were both delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was good as well. I'm raised in the Bronx, I know good NYC pizza and I walked by this pizzeria and I Decided to give it a try. I am very pleased I did, it's very-very close to the best of the Bronx. I had a cheese slice, that's gives you an indication of the quality. It was good enough to order a 2nd slice-Italian sausage, yum! After eating the 2 slices. After eating I discovered that's it's another location for the legendary Joe's in the Village where I ate dozens of times. First, I would go all the time to the one in Wynwood and now I go to the one in Miami Beach.
