My husband surprised me with a date night and reservations to Joelle's, after 10 years and many many more travels, this is still my favorite restaurant. It's divinely intimate any time of the year. They understand ambiance like few others- lighting, music, candles, flowers. The decor of this converted home is completely transformed for the holidays, every imaginable space is full of random artifacts that somehow go together; it give you the sense they are sharing the many gifts given to them over the years. And the food- reliably exquisite- I always order the special featured dishes of the night, my husband most often from their standard menu. Each feeling we've made the perfect choice, until we taste the other, then inevitably the sharing begins.

Went here for dinner while visiting Skineatlas. Everything was delicious and the service was 10/10. For appetizers we opted with a special which involved salmon and avocado. For dinner we ordered the duck, Moroccan meatballs and lobster ravioli, to name a few. Topped the night off with delicious wine and mangocello. Definitely plan on returning to this cute and quaint restaurant when I'm back in Skineatlas and recommend this place if you haven't been!

Miam miam! Que c'est bon! A la campagne, à quelques kilomètres du centre-ville de Syracuse, ce petit resto qui a un charme très authentique gagne à être connu. On acclame: Le repas delicieux. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed excellent service for our meal. We ordered the vichyssoise (it is a potato and leek soup, traditionally served cold), the lobster and shrimp cigar, the duck confit, and the lamb...all was very good except that I was not a big fan of the lobster & shrimp cigar appetizer; it was a bit too heavily fried for my taste. We loved sitting outside with the beautiful view, our only regret was that we were eaten alive by the mosquitos...have to take the bad with the good though, I suppose. Maybe we could've avoided this by coming earlier. We recommend making a reservation in advance (call ahead), as this is a small restaurant and (deservedly) quite popular.

The only French restaurant in Skaneateles! This is a great little find on beautiful grounds. Really great service and ambience. Very nice French food, nice portions and a wide variety of wines. Check out their website or become part of their mailing list for fun theme parties all year round.

We are talking about great execution on basic french dishes here with excellent service on the commons. It's also the most elegant of the restaurants in the commons in my opinion. None are particularly elegant, but Cent-Dix feels the nicest. A must get is the beef tartare. It's so good, it's better than many tartare's I've had in france. Just hands down an easy winner. To cut it's richness I think you should get the Frisee aux Lardons. No matter the table size this is a perfect salad. You can always get more salads or greens, but if the table size is 2 or 6, everyone will like this. The fat, acid, bitterness is perfect. Steak frites are amazing, but even better is the cote de bouef on Saturdays. Either way you won't go wrong, but this restaurant does steak so well, and has good wines to pair with the steak. I've personally never had room for dessert, but everyone always orders it and I have some. It's good, but my favorite is that the espresso machine is always running after dinner for a nice pick me up before my walk on the commons!

I came with a friend and we tried the pear appetizer, mussels, leek and gruyere tart, and the ricotta gnocchi. Honestly, everything was really good. The gnocchi was pillowy and the tart did not have a soggy bottom. For dessert we tried the Pear frangipane which was also good. Quite a strong almond flavor and a little on the sweet side. Overall very good, I would recommend!

It's a cool spot- restaurant on the ground floor, and upstairs they sell different things made locally, and also clothes. It was fun to walk around while the food was being made. Our server was Kara, and she was awesome! My nephew has a peanut allergy so she was checking in on the entire order and sides to be sure we were in the clear! She was so helpful and friendly, even when there was an issue it wasn't a giant deal. My nephew and I started out by looking at the protein shake menu. I chose the green goddess protein shake, and he went with the cocoa Berry. Let me just say that mine was so good I finished it quickly. Nephew ordered the garlic sweet chili hummus appetizer to start. It came with freshly cut pita quarters, carrots, and strips of yellow and red peppers. Fresh, crunchy, hummus was absolutely addictively delicious and more than enough to share! He then got the pesto panini, my older brother ended up landing on the Italian panini (they sold out of the corned beef). He also got the soup special, stuffed cabbage soup and that looked really delicious and piping hot. Lots of cabbage and meat along with the broth. I had FOMO for sure. One panini came with a side salad, the other chose the tomato, onion, and cucumber salad that came with balsamic. So tasty I tried it later bc we took it to go, and I ate it all! Really great atmosphere and concept. On our way out we had a conversation with the manager/owner, and it was really pleasant. The weather was awful, but our stop here was a bright beacon and a memorable stop. Support small owned businesses!

It's located in an older house so there is unlevel flooring from room to room but they are mindful to make you aware. The food was delicious although not what you may expect. I've had several amazing meals there, but I was especially delighted that they were open on Thanksgiving. We often host big friendsgivings, but it just wasn't happening this year, and we were delighted to have some other options for me, my partner, and my partner's mother. Dinner started off with, always, their cheese souffle spread and house-made crackers. The first course had several choices, including an awesome gnocchi, with perfect texture and potato flavor; meatballs with risotto, also tasty; and lobster chowder, which got raves although I didn't try it. The salad that followed was nice. The main course included tender and juicy turkey, a mind-blowing potato dauphinoise, dressing, a smallish helping of green beans, and further vegetables and sides. We all took home at least another meal's worth of leftovers from the supper, and I'm a hearty eater. The deserts were similarly wonderful, including a very flavorful pumpkin cake and two other options. The Horned Dorset always delivers[*], but I especially appreciated the staff being willing to work on a holiday to provide us with such a lovely dinner. And super-attentive service to a room full of happy diners. [*] And they deliver in another way -- I have not had their to-go meals, but my partner raves about them.

However, did love the elevated feel of a typical American bistro. We thought the service could've been more attentive, but improved as the evening progressed. Our waitress was super nice and was helpful in explaining the menu specials and answering any questions we had. Most notably on the menu, the NY strip was a perfect medium rare. We opted to get the 4 jumbo shrimp on the side, which we thought retained a nice snap when we bit into it. It was also well seasoned, while still displaying its freshness. The fries complemented the steak, but was too well done for our liking. Our other entree, the lobster mac and cheese, had a nice cheese pull. We liked the added roasted tomatoes in the baked mac and cheese, which gave it a necessary acidity that countered the creamy, cheesy roux. For our appetizer, we chose the meat and cheese board, which was really solid. Appreciated the waitress explaining the selection, as well as the addition of a sour cherry jam and pickles on the side. This gave us a lot of mix and match options (64 to be exact), and we also liked how it came with charred/toasted bread. Finally, we wrapped up with a chocolate peanut butter parfait and key lime pie. Both were really good (get both if possible, but we liked the latter more).
