Food here is extremely average and like someone else said it is quite stuffy in the restaurant. I ordered the soon dubu jjiagae wanting something hot and comforting but left unsatisfied. It came with a decent amount of tofu, some veg, and a few pieces of tough beef, but the broth was so lacking and tasted like salty water and chili flakes. I ended up adding soy sauce which rarely happens when I order a stew like this ,,, My bf ordered the lunch special which touted a large portion but he ordered extra rice correctly anticipating a small amount of meat, rice, and a few sides. The side dishes were fresh and delicious :) Overall I'd rather spend the same amount of money at a more flavorful restaurant since the prices are standard for other Korean restaurants read more

The food here is ok. I ordered the bulgogi, naengmyeon (cold noodles), and the beef and cabbage stew. The bulgogi was unfortunately pretty dry. The naengmyeon was fine. It was nothing special, but it wasn't bad either. I think the radish in the naengmyeon tasted too sugary and the mustard had too much of a horse radish flavor. The beef and cabbage stew was probably the highlight for me. It was hearty and comforting, and it felt like the most satisfying dish out of the three. Service here is a little iffy. When we were ordering, my husband asked if the bulgogi came with rice and the waitress started at him coldly and said "sure..." in a pretty dry tone. It wasn't outright rude, but it wasn't warm either. On another occasion that we came, it was a busy night and we sat at our tables for 20 minutes before anyone even gave us water or menus. However, the waitress was very noticeably attentive and friendly to a family sitting next to us. The restaurant is near UCF, so maybe the staff has had bad experiences with younger people, but it's no reason to be differential in treating your customers. The inside of the restaurant is pretty simple and casual. It does not have great circulation, so expect your clothes to smell like food when you leave. Overall, the restaurant is decent, but not great. That said, there aren't a lot of other Korean restaurant options around the area, so if you're craving Korean food, this may be your best bet. read more

Authentic Korean food served authentically. Real Korean cuisine is served with ban Chan ( small side dishes) usually kimchi and similar pickled Tasty's and you shouldn't be paying extra for it and refills. Bipimbap was excellent as were the steamed dumplings and fried tofu. Terra beer is the Korean choice and it was icy cold. We visit Orlando unite a bit and we will go back. read more

I will say I was bit worried about what to expect while walking in. The dinning room was packed and there wasn't a lot of room to sit. I lucked out and got a seat by the entry way. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was definitely delicious as ypu can see in the final photo. All of the sides were delicious. I really enjoyed the japchae and the mandu. It has been a long time since I had japchae like this and I will be back to try some of the soup. Go give this place a try. read more

Whenever I'm on a business trip or any trip I always look for Korean food. If I'm traveling somewhere with a smaller Korean community, I don't expect highly authentic flavors. But I knew this place was different the moment I took my first bite of the side dishes (banchan). "Wow, this tastes so authentic!" As I enjoyed my meal, I noticed a Korean grandma cooking in the kitchen, and that explained everything, authentic flavors straight from the source. You simply can't go wrong when the side dishes are this good. The kimchi jjigae was outstanding, and I couldn't resist ordering extra steamed rice to enjoy every last drop. read more

My husband and I really enjoy Korean Food and came here last week. We ate the Fried Tofu, Goon Man Doo (Fried Dumplings), Yachae Pa Jun (Pancake), and for entrees the Dolsat Bibimbab and Bulgogi...everything was super flavorful and delicious! This was my second time at Kimchi, and it didn't disappoint! I ordered kimchi jjigae and the japchae! I make jjigae at home, but it tastes a lot better when someone else cooks it! We were looking for a Korean restaurant to warm our tummies on a cold, rainy night in Orlando and found this one. We were quickly seated by the very nice Korean auntie. The restaurant was filled with aromas of kimchi and grilled meat so we know we were in for a treat! I ordered my favorite dish, Jeyuk-Bokkeum, while my partner got the Jjam Bhong. The auntie brought us banchan including kimchi, gochujang cucumbers, and seasoned bean sprouts. They all tasted super fresh and homemade. Bokkeum is stir fry pork dish with kimchi and onions and it was delicious! I love the slight char on the kimchi and the little bit of heat on a chilly night. Jiam Bhong came with noodles and seafood in a spicy broth. It was very flavorful and reminded me of the Korean home cooking my friend's parents used to make. TLDR; wonderful, authentic Korean flavors. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice homecooked meal! read more

I've had their lunch meals (Spicy Pork and Bulgogi). Both are great, and well worth the money. I had to come back the next day for Spicy Pork that next evening. That is one of my favorite Korean dishes. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday, so plan accordingly. read more

Finally made it here and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the bulgogi and the spicy pork bulgogi and they were both outstanding, although the spicy pork bulgogi is my favorite. Wonderful Korean restaurant in East Orlando! They do not have KBBQ tables but that is completely fine. My spouse and I came in on a Friday night and seated quickly. The menu has all the Korean basics with marinated meats and stews. We ordered the soon doo be jjigae with seafood and dolsot bibimbap. The stew came bubbling hot full of flavor, a bowl of rice, and three ban chan. Bimbimbap was amazing also! Portion size was just right, and the prices were very fair. First time based off of recommendations and Yelp. First, they do not have bbq grills built into the table. Don't know if they bring electric ones out for an order. I ordered Soondubu. I haven't had it in so long! This is a jiagae version so it is really spicy! Enough for scalp sweat but not enough to stop eating. The silken tofu was perfect. Soft and creamy. Nice chunks of beef. Caramelized onion. Cracked egg into it. Ate it slightly softboiled with rice and beef and tofu. Really delicious. From the photo from top left to right. Standard crisp bean sprouts. Good. I think it was eggplant and onions. I don't like eggplant. Pass. Fish cakes. My mom never explained what these are but they are pretty good. Next row. Standard white rice. Great to dip into the soondubu broth. Cabbage kimchee. A bit too fermented and tart for me but good. Cucumber kimchee. My favorite! Loved it. I also got an order of mandu. Pretty good but not like mom used to make! Really good place. It's small. And I have no idea if the bbq is good. But the soondubu was just what I was looking for. read more

I walked in with low expectations because the name was generic and the location was just in random strip of stores. However, I left leaving really impressed and so surprised at how great the entire meal was with both food and service. Definitely one of the better korean restaurants I've had for sure. Not a large restaurant, they still easily accommodated our large group of 8. The waitress was so friendly and happy. I really enjoyed pretty much everything we ordered, especially the flavors. Started with the seafood pancake that was loaded with toppings and fresh green onions. The omelette fried rice came out really disappointing because we all thought it was going to be a runny omelette (like omurice), but the fried rice underneath was actually tasty. The galbi short ribs were decent and I thought the jjam bbong (spicy seafood noodle soup) was delicious. We also ordered the stone pot bibimbop and it was legit. The pot came out actually still cooking the rice as it should be. No complaints about the banchan sides either. Overall, my whole group was just pleasantly surprised at how great the meal was. The prices were fair for the family style portions that left all 8 of us full. Flavors were on point and service was great from beginning to end. We took a chance on this place for take-out. Unfortunately, the experience left us underwhelmed. The portions sizes were average, which was fine, but there was a general lack of flavor in my opinion - and in some cases excess "spice" was replaced for flavor. First time here and it was as good as the reviews. We waited no time to be seated for lunch and the food was great. The seafood pancake was so good. We had the bugolgi box. Everything was tasty, I wish I could of bottled that dressing they put on their side salad. Pleasantly surprised how delicious for a side I didn't expect much from. There are only 2 people working, so you may run into delays during busy hours (so I would take into consideration the possible wait time during peak hours).
