Lots of silly stuff to look at, including a shark suspended from the ceiling, in pursuit of a penguin. Food is decent. Crab-stuffed mushroom app was tasty, the Snow Classic boil had yummy potatoes and easy to peel shrimp. One of my non-bio kids ordered the Creole honey glazed salmon. Since I'm momming, it was my responsibility to test it first, make sure it wasn't poisoned. Not only was it not poisoned, it was delicious and something I'd order for myself! My bio kid was absolutely excited to order the Shark Bite. It's a blue drink served in a big bowl chalice-kinda-thing, with a toy shark that has a test tube of "blood". She turned 21 last year, but Joe's was sold out of this drink or the shark maybe? Anyhoo, she was just thrilled haha. My kids and I were having a staycation at Great Wolf Lodge and decided to get out for some dinner. We had a hankering for crab! Thankfully we came in during Linner, about 3pm on a Tuesday so the restaurant was a ghost town. We were sat immediately and greeted by our server, Face, right away. He was personable, knowledgeable, funny, attentive, and informative. I served for so many years myself and just really adore great customer service. It honestly makes or breaks dining experiences for me. Face was a gem and they're lucky to have him there. I hope they treat him well. So the food! I LOVE that they had crab on the kid's menu! My kids are crab obsessed so it was awesome that it was an option. The portion sizes were really large for me personally. I ordered a snow crab boil dish with sausage, potatoes and corn. I shared my crab with both of my kids on top of their meals and still managed to eat so much that I felt like I was going to burst lol I still had food leftover after that. The garlic butter seasoning is a classic. The kids both got 'build your own' sundaes for dessert and it was the most exciting thing for them. Coming in is exciting and lively so the place itself was cool. The service was nice. The host was cheery and kind. Our server BB, (sorry for misspelling it) was awesome. It was pretty busy. And we got to hear the other servers say "Shark attack!" Or something to that. We asked our server what that was and she explained how there's a specific cocktail when it's ordered and the drink is blue but there's grenadine in the toy sharks mouth so when it's thrown into the cocktail it looks like blood coming out from the shark into the cocktail. That was an experience to see. The person I came here with ordered the Fish & Chips. She loved the way it tasted and she had leftovers to take with her. Her meal came with fries, coleslaw & 3 hushpuppies. We ordered these yummy mozzarella bricks and that was 10/10. The marinara sauce was perfectly thick. I didn't feel my acid reflux activate and the cheese pull was insanely awesome! The perfect about of seasoning in it too. This loved! I also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was okay for me I did like the way the grilled chicken tasted and was cooked. I did take away the tomato but I was expecting like red onions in it at least and maybe pickles. It only came with melted cheddar cheese o n top of the grilled chicken, shredded lettuce and surprisingly 2 bacon slices. And it came with fries. For me my meal was okay I did eat most of it, but it was a 6/10 for me. I do want to give this place another shot and try another item off their menu. Maybe a cocktail with my meal next time idk? Large portions I gave it 3 stars because I ended up sick after eating there. I was the only one out of my party to get ill from eating there. Although I later had an unpleasant response to the food I do recommend trying but with caution with seafood there is always a chance being taken. The ambiance was fun and lighthearted with lots of decor! I have ate at other Joes Crab Shacks and I'm this was my first experience getting sick. Listed at $12.99 (see screenshot) I figured it was a good price for a light lunch ..and I love their Crab Nachos. Talked to Sarah on the phone - I love the fact that it was ready in 15 minutes. The only thing I hated --very bad practice -- was that I paid $21 for my nachos. The receipt says "Crab Nachos as Entree." I don't mind, but it should have been clearly communicated with me. So now I had a big platter of very yummy and flavorful nachos to finish at work --slightly larger than a 9x13 lasagna pan...shared it with my co-workers and we were all happy. BUT dear Sarah needs some extra training-- first, it would help if she's a bit friendlier to customers. And second, clarify the price of what a customer ordered--summarize and wrap it up before processing an order. Not all people are tolerant of being overcharged. Went in for an early dinner on Saturday. The menu seemed slightly different than last time I came to this restaurant. I recall crab boil being good enough for 2-4 people but Joe it seems like one is good for just one. Price options range from $46-60 depending on the type of seafood you want. As for drinks and cocktails, they had so many options. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. Only thing is they forgot to bring out the bread we ordered, but turns out they didn't add it to the bill, so she may have forgotten to note it. So me and friends from church came after service for lunch last Sunday. I wanted to write this review but it slipped my mind, but I HAD TO because of the service we received. Our waitress was nice but when she went on lunch we were helped by a waiter and HE WAS AMAZINGGGGG. I wish I had asked his name but it was pretty loud in the establishment when he had said what it was initially, so I'm forced to just describe him as the young, tall, black man. I don't make it to Joe's very often but am so glad I recently did. This is one of Landry's classic 90's "themed" restaurants - which are sadly fading fast from our landscape - and it still looks great. First, their 80s music soundtrack is second to none. Every single song played was good one. Similar is being played down the street at Bubba Gump. Second, our entrees were far better than expected (Not Jo Mama's Chicken and the new Seafood lasagna). After this, we realized we need to come in more often. The only preventor is the pricing, which is "up there", like most others. I am sure that being located in the midst of a tourist destination helps keep them busy. read more

I'll be totally honest, there are only two things I come to joes for and those are the strawberry lemonade and the crab/shrimp dip. The crab/shrimp dip is fantastic, super creamy and gooey with the perfect amount of seafood flavor. It's served hot with tortilla chips and always hits the spot! The strawberry lemonade is generic s lemonade with strawberry purée added to it, but it tastes classic and refreshing. I've tried a few other things here like the fried shrimp, hush puppies and calamari but have been really underwhelmed. The seafood I've had was super bland and didn't come with lemon or seasoning salt to add some flavor. The calamari was mid, lacking in flavor again and served with marinara which is not a great combo to me. There were a lot of battered and fried jalapeño and bell peppers in it too, again not my fave combo. Overall the ambiance is really fun with the beach theme and the service I've had has been quick and friendly. read more

It's been years since I've been to Joe's CS. Ours closed out here in Rancho Cucamounga so it was nice to see one still in operation. Part of the Landry's select group it's an easy choice for some perks. The menu had a wide selection apart from the crab boils. Nice portions great for sharing and exchanging mid meal. We enjoyed our choices and had a feast. Service had that home town feel with great hospitality. Still holding true to the themed restaurant. The paper towel roll at the table and bucket to toss everything into, wooden floors, fish and nets like coming aboard a fishing boat. We definitely took advantage of the fact that we're staying right next to a Joe's! The husb is a Landry's member so we figured, LET'S GO! We were craving seafood! The husb wanted to try the fried Cajun snow crab. He said it had lots of meat. He also said it was tasty. The boyfriend and I often stay at the Marriott Suites across the parking lot from this location. Until the last few months, we had never wandered into Joe's due to my boyfriend's shellfish allergy, but he wanted to try other things on the menu, so we started going this summer. I'm glad we did! Recently, he's been getting a special chicken dish. I can't remember the name, but something like Joe Mama's chicken. It wasn't even on the the special board recently, but they made it for him. When we head to Disneyland and stay overnight we try to visit Joe's as the one in Ventura closed years ago. I had the Sailors Shrimp and it was huge. It tasted great and was well priced. Service was excellent and the server was very attentive and on top of everything. Searing is comfortable for adults and children. It's a little loud but not overwhelming. "Was looking forward to some crab legs for my husband's 70th birthday. Decided to go to Joes Crab Shack, a little more casual than Red Lobster which is fine with us. No hostess when we walked in, after a few min, it was "this way" no greeting at all. My wife let the waitress know of the birthday first thing. Brought us water and took our order. The food was out quickly, and I cracked open a nice fat crab leg, only to realize there was no drawn butter to dip it in. My wife had to track down the waitress and ask for butter. Her dinner was bland, she swapped out the crab mac and cheese for mashed potatoes, the rice was cold and a bit mushy. Crab legs were good as was the crab cake. The waitress checked back once right after the meal was served. My crab legs were sub par they went cold quickly and did not separate from the shells as they should. I was going to order another beer but the waitress was no where to be found. We sat there with crab leg shells and dirty plates for quite a while. This was a Wednesday night and was not busy. My wife had to go find someone to clear our table. Then I was asked if I wanted another beer! We asked for the check my wife pointed out the sad service for my birthday. The waitress brings the check, a little green plastic lei and a glow stick. On the way out the manager asked about our dinner, we let him know of our experience and he cut the bill in half.
