My daughter's favorite for pancakes! This is a staple breakfast place for my family and many other local families. I always get the corn beef hash (extra crispy for me!) with 2 eggs over easy. My husband eats my rye toasts and says they are yummy. The homes fries are great (no hash browns here!) and the service is friendly attentive and FAST! They have the cutest train tracks hanging from the ceiling and my daughter says it's always Christmas at Joe's! Parking is plentiful in the large Southport shopping center lot. read more

Went here for the first time and absolutely loved it. Was greeted warmly at the entrance and you can sit wherever you want. The place was super clean and they have a variety of breakfast choices. Food was absolutely excellent, the coffee was hot and tasty and they have great service. we love the servers can't say enough nice things about them. The place had a funky 1950s vibe with pictures along the wall of Muhammad Ali, John Lennon etc. Has all vinyl records on the wall fun to view all this Nostalgic 1950s 1960's charm....will definitely come back !! read more

I have only been to Joe's 2 times, but have had great service and food on both occasions. Its got the 50's diner feel to it inside and a nice menu selection. The food is really fresh. This is an amazing restaurant/diner with great food. The reason for my low rating is they advertise, "If you don't see it ask for it". I did - I ask for my eggs over medium with veggies and was told only available as an omelet. I've order this before with no problem but have been told that no changes to the menu can be made on weekends. Other than that the food is good and the place is very clean. I've lunched at Joes for 5 years now and must credit them with consistently serving fresh tasty specials including one of the best liver and onions around. The waitstaff is about as friendly and helpful as you can find. The whole restaurant is a treat for the eyes and clean as a whistle. Can't be beat. Going to bring my whole family to breakfast next week. read more

When we first visited Joe's Diner two years ago, we felt we had found the perfect breakfast place...a varied and interesting menu, a little beehive w/lots of friends there. Coming back last season, things were different...service was sporadic at best. Wait staff was constantly making excuses for food not coming from the kitchen, 'so busy', etc. But, over the past few months, we eagerly purchased a Groupon certificate for Joe's, even tho our rental was substantially further away. But, we had liked the place so felt the drive today would be worth it. Wrong...we will never go back! We waited a good 45 minutes for our food, with the waitress telling us several times our food was 'almost ready to come out' and yet 15 minutes later, still no food. She eventually just stopped coming by until our food did come out. We were not the only table looking for our food; watching the food coming out , it was pathetically slow. This is a restaurant after all...isn't food prep and serving what it's all about? Bringing our tab, we were told 'I gave you a little credit' but then seeing my Groupon , she decided not to do that and retallied the bill. Food was alright but after waiting so long, who cares? We are lovers of good food w/good service and are never afraid to pay for it. In this instance, it wasn't worth the drive and as we drove away, we said 'bye Joe's, it was nice knowing you'! read more

My sisters and I visited Naples in March and stayed at Johns place (Air B and B) and ate at Joe's Diner twice. The fabulous waiter on the first day was so much fun and so accommodating, thank you Shannon. The owner Noel was so awesome and friendly. He really just wants to run a good honest business and believes in being good to the employee will reflect in his business, so true. The second day was just as successful, thanks to our waitress Lisa. We couldn't have been happier. read more

I came here looking for a nice corn beef dinner. I had not tried this place before but thought being a diner it would probably have a good corn beef dinner or in this case lunch on St. Patrick's Day. The waitress was pleasant but the food was lousy. My corn beef arrived with maybe one piece and all the rest of it was just shredded up little pieces of corn beef as if they had taken it off the bottom of the pot and put it there. Speaking as someone who usually like salt it was also incredibly salty. The carrots were way over cooked and the potatoes were fine. What really irks me was that they state very clearly on the window of the diner that they close at 3 o'clock. That being said they started telling people who came in at 2:15 and 230 that the kitchen was closed. If they want to be closed at 2 o'clock then it should say 2 o'clock and not 3 o'clock on the door. That's like a grocery store telling you they will be open until 11 and you get there at 10:30 and they say oh sorry we're not taking any more customers today. I have worked in restaurants for a good part of my life and if the restaurant was open till particular time that's when we stop seating guests. We did not start sending guests away 45 minutes before we closed! For all the reasons cited above I would not recommend this place. read more

Had the Greek omelet this a.m.--best I've ever had. Subbed the potatoes for tomatoes. Toast was over-saturated with whatever they use as butter. Coffee was delish. Service was so-so as the place was packed. New menu is very nice and simple. Prices very reasonable. read more
