"your car just needs a new ac compressor, $1800"…read more interesting- i had brought it in for overheating and an oil leak. i don't care about the ac, and don't usually use it- why does that matter if it's off? "the ac compressor uses the same belt as the water pump, so it's the problem". um, ok. what about the oil leak? "we can't diagnose that until you fix the AC, because it's in the way and all" cool. not gonna sink that money in, so pay $140 diag fee, start driving the 20m to my home deep in the desert. immediately notice that there's no power steering. as i'm getting within a mile of my destination it stalls. low battery. pop the hood, and two interesting things pop out to me: 1. the a/c is on its own dedicated belt. nothing else. you could remove it and disable ac but prevent any of the other issues. i did not need to pay for an ac compressor to fix or diagnose anything else. they could have just pulled the belt. 2. there's a second belt, that's goes to both the power steering and the alternator. it is completely missing. turns out it was sitting in the back seat. fortunately my friend wasn't far behind me. we jumped it for a bit to get the battery good enough to go back down the hill. they did refund the diag fee, which was nice.

He spent endless hours fabricating suspension, drive lines, fuel lines, electrical, etc...I know he didn't charge me for a lot of the extra hours he spent because he wanted to stay within the quote he gave me. That's honest! Sarah does an excellent job communicating in a friendly and professional manner. She always returns my calls and does everything she can to work you into their busy schedule. Woods auto repair was the one I stopped at! They seen that I was having an emergency and offered to help me asap! My upper radiator hose had busted. They were able to help me right away, and the price wasn't too bad either. My car ended up having worse issues that caused the radiator hose to bust. But I do appreciate the fact that they helped me the way they did. They replaced the hose and had me on my way. Also helped me understand the issues my car was having. They made it easier for me to let the dealership know exactly what was going on and what needed to be fixed. Thank God for warranties! Overall I was very satisfied with the services they offered.
