Joe just pulled out of my driveway & there's nothing else I want to do besides give him & his colleague, Joe, all the credit that they deserve. Surprise early heatwave in Chicago and my central AC stopped working completely. When I reached out to Joe it was 98 degrees inside and I was living on a prayer - I figured I'd need one to find someone to come take a look for me. First call I made was not in fact to Joe but another competitor in the area & I got an estimate of 5 business days for them to come take a look. My next call was to Joe which was at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday. I got through to him right away. Joe was friendly and very receptive. Right off the bat he was up front and honest with me saying that the soonest he could come would be about 24 hours give or take because of already booked appointments. I appreciated the honesty, opened my day, and booked the service appointment. To get technical it was only in fact 17 hours that I had to wait & when Joe showed up I was so worried that something major was wrong and that I would either not be able to afford it or I'd empty my bank account trying . Long story short, Joe reassured me and it turned out that my AC system just needed a really good cleaning and a shot of Free-on. I spent PENNIES compared to what I thought I was going to have to shell out and I was absolutely blown away to have met such an honest, capable AC guy. Less than 2 hours and it's already 5 degrees cooler inside. I was so taken aback, to be honest. To have such a wonderful customer service experience seems so rare these days. So was looking around to obtain a second...third... opinion. Found Joe's Co. on yelp. I contacted them and asked if they could come take a look at our furnace. He was very accommodating and came out a few hours later on short notice. Not only that, he seemed truly genuine. I had one company come out prior to Joe and although he came in to inspect and do what he came to do, the interaction wasn't as pleasant. An in/out kinda thing. I called for a quote on my outside compressor fan motor thats under warrenty and they were twice as much as Air Techiniques.

Beware of this company over a week ago they had come to fix my heating system. He replaces the motor on 12/7/21 on saturday (12-11) when I came home from work it wasn't working. I tried contacted him but no response finally I got a hold of him monday and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday 8-9 . He didn't show up I tried calling texting him as his voicemail because his voicemail was full I was told to text him no response. I had gone threw my insurance and called them to let them know I had to go to work and he hasn't showed up and isn't responding. They told me he said that my appointment was from 8-12 lie but I called my job told them I would be late and waited for him. At 12:15 I called again and texted him saying he is behind by an hour I waited again called my work and told them he still hasn't come. Over an hour goes by no Joe again I call him and text him I got a text saying I am busy . I waited again texted again no response called my insurance company they told me he will be there. Waited again text him no response asking him if I should wait or find someone else there is no heat which he supposedly fixed . The company that I work for had the A/C go out at one of our locations in Colorado. Our original vendor went out of business, so I reached out to Joe's because they had over 4 stars. They came out on a Thursday, but I was told on the phone that they had to reschedule for Friday. The tech was a no show on Friday and the appointment was rescheduled for Monday. Then the tech was a no show on Monday too. I was so frustrated that I cancelled services. I have another company go out there to fix the A/C to find out that a tech from Joe's was out there on Thursday and screwed up the HVAC so bad that they are recommending to replace it, which is super expensive. I asked for the tech to call me and he never did. I strongly recommend finding service elsewhere. The customer service reps are not helpful, hard to understand, and tried to reschedule the tech after I told them that the tech ruined the HVAC (he is never going near it again). Joe came out and gave us the BEST price for a top of the line A/C unit after getting several estimates that were much higher. Very unhappy with Joe. He first came to "fix" my furnace and claimed it was just the sensor that needed to be cleaned. I paid him for a diagnostic test. Then less than a month later, my furnace continued to break. He came and tightened this and that, charged me $50 and it broke a week later. I scheduled an appointment for him to come back since he "guarantees" his work but he never showed. The same with the next day. I continued to call and text him and received no response. Then my friend called and he answered on the 1st ring telling my friend he would call me first thing the next day. He never called! All he does is come and open the furnace, look at the flashing diagnostic light, and then try to troubleshoot. I'm not even sure if he's a licensed HVAC guy. read more

Had Joe out to my condo to connect a Flue to the exhaust stack, do a top-to-bottom cleaning of the furnace and replace a drain line connection. I called him the day before and gave him an overview of the job to be done and sent along some pictures to help out. The next morning and just a few hours later the work was done correctly, cleanly and professionally in a very reasonable amount of time.
