Apart from wearing a mask to order, Joe's is still Joe's. Hot fresh seafood and fries cooked to order and eat under the umbrella. Unbeatable!

    Lobster roll alone $20

Working in the hospitality industry, I completely understand food prices have gone up. But for $20 I was disappointed in this lobster roll. Served on a small hot dog bun with a few chunks. With a hot dog, fries and a soda for $37 bucks we were still hungry after. The lobster itself was decent.

    Delicious lobster roll.

Joe's Home Cookin' is the place to be! We stopped in there when we saw the enormous lobster sign because we were shocked to see lobster in the middle of Vermont. Let me tell you, this stop might have been one of the best decisions I've ever made. The lobster roll is super fresh and the portion is extremely generous, especially for $10. It's served Maine style (warm w/ butter) an comes with a side of hand cut fries and some of the best coleslaw I've ever had. Joe, the owner, is from Florida so he loves his seafood and makes sure to only serve the freshest lobster, clams and shrimp. Also he, along with the cook, Fred, are two awesome dudes. If you see it in your travels make sure to stop by, you will not be disappointed.

I'm a New Yorker and it's rare to find fresh and delicious seafood. This little place have done a wonderful job in achieving the flavors of fresh seafood. I ordered the lobster roll platter and the fried scallops platter to share with my boyfriend. The lobster roll was very tasty; lightly-buttered bread with fresh lobster. It didn't need other condiments to make it better. It also came with fries, cole slaw and a pickle. As for the fried scallops, it was very fresh and tasty. The tartar sauce is homemade! Only downfall is that we paid $13 for six pieces of small scallops with the sides. Joe, the owner, is extremely nice! He was making sure we enjoyed the food. He makes everything from scratch every morning - a plus! If you're in the area, definitely try it out!!

a plate of french fries and golf tees

Outrageous. Sitting directly in the sun w/2 kids and staff forbids us to use the shade umbrellas on tables b/c they are "$100" each. A lovely spot but the height of inconsiderate. See pic of $5 fries and $12.50 lobster roll (kids said tasty) but extremely skimpy on meat and both kids said there was some shell in their meal. This was really disappointing in that we've never had such an experience anywhere in the Deerfield Valley. My recommendation is to GO TO WAHOOS, fresh food, right on the creek and they welcome customers.

    The lobster roll I had.

The best lobster rolls anywhere! The shack is scaled down from the old one but quality is great.

You cannot beat the freshness of the lobster roll here. Good price and perfectly served with slightly salted warm butter. Worth a trip!

I had the daily special Chicken Enchiladas soup, and it was fantastic. It was kind of like a chicken corn chowder, deep chicken broth flavor, and lots of tasty corn. The tortilla strips give it a nice texture. I had the Cobb salad. It was huge, and really high quality ingredients. The chicken breast was clearly fresh, and the avocado and tomato's were at the perfect ripeness. My son had the chicken parm, and it was also great. Their homemade marinara was delicious, and the chicken parm was really good. I liked the breading as it was nice and crunchy. Also, the service is impressive. Every member of the waitstaff is personable and friendly, and they are highly efficient. The food comes out at the right time, and the time between courses is right.

We started with the homemade meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and buffalo wings. The buffalo wings were crisp and well flavored. The mozz sticks were crisp and had the perfect cheese pull as you ate each one. The meatballs were also huge and delicious as they are made from scratch in house. All of our entrees were also huge portions and delicious. I would say the only complaint was the burger lacked basic seasonings a little salt and fixed no problem. Service was very friendly and efficient here.

This little New England restaurant, though, still had first-come, first-serve seating, and parking lot a bit crowded but found a spot at a corner to park. They originally had a 2hr wait for 14 ppl (we had a few tables ahead of us) but ended up giving us two tables if we were ok to cram together, which we were - super grateful for that! Didn't realize it before we went, but this shop was Kelly Clark's parents' restaurant, and the memorabilia was cool. Cheap beers and drinks, wings were ok (wings needed to be crispier and have more spicy buffalo sauce, the bbq version was just ok). The chowder was thinner compared to Anchor Seafood down the way, and the tuna nachos were ok (on light puffed rice chips w/ some seaweed salad to the side, mayo or similar across the top could've been better with some yuzu or ponzu sauce instead). Fried pickles were large and great, though, as were the fried cheese and pretzels. The truffle cheese fries were heavy but still needed more cheese and table didn't enjoy it as much. St. Louis Ribs were ok, but the Short Rib Stroganoff and the Lobster Mac N' Cheese were table favorites - and warmed up really well the next day with the generous portion helping balance the cost as it was basically two meals in one. Game and fun bathroom signs in the waiting area upfront. Staffers were busy but definitely worked to satisfy our tables' orders and needs and kept cheery while at it. Very tight seating spaces so make a note if you're on the bigger side, it may not be as comfortable depending on the seat you get. A bit spendier (there's food tax, LWB tax, and town tax...) but no credit card surcharge. Overall I'm giving this a 4 star b/c of the service. Food I've had better, but service was very helpful.

The food came out quickly and was delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. You can tell this is a place that's well run and cares about its customers. But what truly set TC's apart was Lauren, the manager. After our visit, my young son accidentally left behind a backpack that holds a lot of sentimental value to us. Lauren personally took the time to locate it and then mailed it back to us in New Jersey at no charge. That level of thoughtfulness and care is incredibly rare and meant so much to our family. We will absolutely be back anytime we're in the area, and we can't recommend TC's highly enough -- not just for the food, but for the people. This is how you create lifelong customers. Thank you, Lauren and TC'

It would be like a Christmas any month of the year. I am not a sour beer fan, in fact I really detest them. But if you like them, you will in a very happy place here. A Brie like cheese, a pungent delicious blue cheese and a smooth but distinct hard cheese as well as a nice fruit jam , some slices of salami and actual fresh green grapes . This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.
