Very friendly service and kid-friendly casual atmosphere - the claw machine games are always a highlight if we decide to eat in the restaurant as a family. My kids seem to prefer STL-style pizza, but we order from Joe's to mix it up every once in a while! Joe's is more Chicago-style, both the deep dish and the pub-style regular crust. Personally, I am not a fan of sweet sauce on pizza, so Joe's wouldn't be my first choice for traditional pizza sauce. The meat sauce for pastas and dipping is excellent though and seems less sweet. We like to order the mozzarella sticks, cheesy breadsticks, toasted ravioli, or fried mushrooms. They go great with the meat sauce or the ranch. We really like the specialty pizzas: Chicken Bacon Ranch, Margherita, and Greek. If you aren't in a pizza mood, their sandwiches are great. I like the Turkey & Swiss. Occasionally with the deep-dish pizza, the box will shift during delivery so that one end is more cheese-heavy. It happens sometimes. Delivery is typically pretty quick, and so is service within the restaurant. read more

Overpriced for what it is. I think I meant to go to Joe Bacardi's instead but ended up here. It was a Saturday night and there was literally no one in there. The pizza sauce is sweet. The toppings seemed like they were out of a bag. The lasagna was with meat sauce, there was meat but no sauce, very odd. The side salad was pretty decent and seemed fresh. Got the seafood Alfredo dish and was charged extra for the Alfredo sauce. Paid for extra cheesy breadsticks and never received them. We just ordered pizza and drinks and the pizza came out pretty quick, our order must have gone in before the large table. Ordered a large Chicago style pepperoni It was large. One of my favorite pizza spots around town! The pizza is just downright delicious and I love that the toppings are chopped. My typical order is onion, green pepper, and pepperoni and I've never been let down! One edit I would make it adding something to the crust after baking but if the worst thing about a pizza place is a plain crust, I think you're doing just fine! Also, their prices are crazy high. $40 for a deep dish large, funny. Also, the service here is questionable, not sure if they're unhappy or just hate me. This spot was ok. We decided to try someplace new on a whim. It looks like they're mostly a take out joint. We ordered wings as an appetizer and the Chicago style pizza with sausage, onions and green peppers. The wings came out first. My wife seemed to enjoy them so I took a bite of mine. It was still frozen. Now, it was the largest one in the basket, so I assume it just didn't get enough time in the fryer. I let the waitress know and they took care of the issue right away. Great customer service with no issues. Our pizza came out next. It was ok. I'm a Chicago gal, so I was hoping for more. The toppings were minimal and the sauce was way too sweet for me at least. My wife wasn't a huge fan either. Their menu does have alot of other items on it so we might try it again at some point, but won't be having the pizza again. read more

I picked up a Chicago style pizza from the Joe's in Columbia and was disappointed. The crust was tall per Chicago style, but toppings on the inside were minimal extending up only ~ 1/3 of the crust - about the same amount as a standard pizza but twice the cost. I've gotten them from the Fairview Heights location several times and was pleased and recommend that location. read more

Ordered the pizza earlier in the day for pickup for 5:30, when we arrived on time place was dark locked up tight, no one called us there's no note on the door why they're closed so over this dump we had this problem once before where you would call and call and call and no one would ever answer or else the phone just disconnects. Great Chicago style pizza without the Cubs Fans! Our first reason for going here was they sponsor the local baseball league for kids in town. That's worth at least one meal of support. But the deep dish Chicago style pizza is what has brought us back the next three times. So good and you don't have to be around Cubs fans to enjoy really good deep dish pie. Awesome choice of pizza toppings - shrimp and anchovies are some of my favorites. My wife likes getting ranch or alfredo sauce in place of red sauce. They have a nice kid's menu including stuff like Doritos. Beer selection isn't bad either. I like their marinara sauce - it's sweet. Finally, they have a nice family special for about $25 that is more than enough food for family of 4 with pizza, bread and salad. read more

My husband I recently decided to try this place, as we usually go to Columbia on our date nights. We LOVE IT!!!! The pizza is amazing, the salads and apps are great. He insisted I take him there for Father's Day. We haven't gotten to the pasta and sandwiches yet, as we can't get over the pizza. I love spinach and garlic pizza, but I can't get it anywhere around here, except at Joe's! It is amazing and takes me back to those amazing pizza days in big cities. You can customize it all.
