Chicago style pepperoni
Jo Nell R.

A little nervous as we sat down since there was a large group seated that hadn't ordered yet. Only 2 young women handling the front. We just ordered pizza and drinks and the pizza came out pretty quick, our order must have gone in before the large table. Ordered a large Chicago style pepperoni It was large. Husband thought it was ok, I didn't care for it at all. Pepperoni on the bottom, topped wit cheese, then sauce. Way too sweet for my taste. Service was good.

One of my favorite pizza spots around town! The pizza is just downright delicious and I love that the toppings are chopped. My typical order is onion, green pepper, and pepperoni and I've never been let down! One edit I would make it adding something to the crust after baking but if the worst thing about a pizza place is a plain crust, I think you're doing just fine! Great place with great food.

This is a GREAT pizza place with an absolutely amazing sauce. Their Chiga style is fantastic and the service can not be beat.

It was my birthday and for 60+ years, my traditional b-day dinner has been rigatoni. My in-laws suggested Charlie Gitto's and it was fantastic. So, this year, we were again passing through St Louis on my birthday and I wanted to go back. I was hoping that it was as good as I remembered. I feared that I would be disappointed but I wasn't. It was as great as I remembered. I had their rigatoni with sausage, my wife had baked spaghetti with meatballs, my BIL had lasagna and my SIL had salmon. I also added a classic Ceasar salad. All of our entrees were excellent. The service is superb and definitely deserves a 5-star rating. Our waiter was excellent - he said he's been doing this for 18 years and was one of the best, most professional waiters I've ever met. Anthony, the manager, deserves special thanks for resolving an issue with where we were being seated. He was also the epitome of professionalism. Charlie Gitto's - despite me living in Ohio, you might become a new birthday tradition. Thanks.

Although claiming to have invented the toasted ravs, really did not enjoy them. Caprese salad was good for this time of year- early June. My go to meal to rate Italian restaurants is chicken Marsala, and was unfortunately the worst. Chicken was overcooked, rather tasteless and hard to cut. Very little sauce, but good mushrooms. Side of red pasta helped but was too sweet.

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

It's a big restaurant with lots of seating and an extensive menu. The service was friendly and attentive. For an appetizer we chose toasted ravioli and they were some of the best I have had. Flavorful filling, crispy exterior, and plenty of Parmesan cheese. We all really enjoyed these. The complimentary bread with olive oil was also nice while we waited. Not a ton of places still have this. I also liked that the olive oil was seasoned which gave it a nice kick. For entrees we ordered two lasagnas, salmon pasta and a frisco burger. All were good but the lasagna was the standout. A little spicy and very filling. The salmon could have used a little extra salt but I loved the grilled flavor. Since it was my birthday they gave me a complimentary mini cannoli. It was so cute and very tasty! If I wasn't so full I would have loved a full sized one. If we go back again I would try a pizza and Palmer's style chicken. Both looked really good!
