Came here on a Saturday night around 7 and place wasn't too busy but seemed like they were doing a lot of take out and delivery orders. The woman behind the counter was super friendly and answered all of my questions. Also they have a bathroom and you need to ask for the key. The restaurant has a homey feel and is very clean and rustic. They have a TV which was playing a horror suspense movie but somehow that just made the whole experience better. There is a variety of slices you can get. Speciality slices at $4 and cheese is $2.75. All prices on menu include tax. They have amazing daily deals even on the weekend. You can get a large cheese pizza and a 2 liter soda plus other items like mozzarella sticks and chicken wings depending on the day all for $28. It's a great deal. They also give you 10% off online orders. We ended up trying the chicken parm pizza. It was delicious and light. It has mozzarella cheese on it, dabs of tomato sauce, crispy chicken and fresh mozzarella and basil. Talk about authentic. These pies were a big hit for me and my fam. Line was wrapped around the street. Service was quick and even though we ordered individual slices, they warmed it up and by the time we payed we got our pies. Delicious. You can not have a continuous positive review with this place. Anyway, they charge so much money for absolutely no fucking reason. They don't even charge the same, or stay consistent with their prices , over the phone they'll say one thing then in person , another. It's like they don't know their own prices for the business. They have the audacity to HIDE the little broken down calculator that they use to "calculate" the total, ask if you're paying cash or card. Then tell you the outrageous price. I paid $12 for a 2 liter and a slice of cake. Are you JOKING ?!? I ask them how, they wanna tell me the prices of each items with TAX. so I'm being taxed per item ? On top of regular tax, THEN they charge you even MORE if you use your card.. it's sad that this is the only pizzeria locally in Bayonne. Especially since they're opened late. Was in town and came here just for some plain pizza slices. It's a nice little pizza joint right on the corner of 47th and Broadway in Bayonne. The employees seem to be working hard and I was presented with my two slices of plain pizza pretty quickly. I have to say I was very impressed with the large plain slices they offered me, larger than most pizzerias. Please see my picture below, I included a water bottle for size comparison. It was not a thin crust pizza but the pizza was a little thinner than usual. Also there didn't seem to be as much cheese and tomato sauce on the slice that I'm used to as well. But the flavor was good and of course the slices were on the larger size. I would recommend this place if you are in uptown Bayonne and you're looking for pizza. read more

So, I'm still fairly new to the area and covid hasn't made it any easier. In my previous town there were 2 things I always wanted that was so hard to find: 1. Zeppole & 2. Cannoli. This order was simply a last night treat, you know when you feel like you didn't eat enough, but want more food. Yep that was the night I was having. The best thing about Joe's pizza in Bayonne, is that it is open till 3am every night. When craving some last night pizza or Italian food items, Joe's is the place to go to, in the after hours. I love that they have a great variety of specialty slices for you to chose from, right on the counter display. Besides their pizza, some of my other favorites are their chicken parm sub, and mozzarella sticks. Everyone loved plain pizza (which is good at Joes), but I would recommend giving their taco slice it buffalo chicken slice a try and well. You wont be disappointed. Came in here for a quick slice. The staff were so nice. They normally have a policy of $10 minimum for credit card use but made an exception for me and I was able to get a specialty slice and a can of soda for $5 on the card. I ordered the chicken bruschetta slice and I found it to be way too little sauce and too herby. I did like the crispness of the crust but I was disappointed by the slice. I asked them if I were poor and couldn't afford a $10 dollar minimum on my card and just wanted a slice they replied "Theres a grocery store across the street" they tax so much extra on snapples and sodas. I have been ordering various items from this restaurant and frankly, sub-standard. It is as though toppings for pizza are going out of style (sparse). Heros are ridiculous. Skimping on contents. Only game in town in Bayonne if you want something delivered late. This is not the Joe's I remember from 1982 and probably kept the name but not the same owners. .Best served if you buy from Mona Lisa who does not fool around when it comes to contents and yes, you can Re-Heat the majority of foods offered. I will never go back here again! Not only did I find a really big cockaroach dead on their floor, but the Penne pasta with pesto sauce and chicken I ordered had hair on it. Also, I specifically asked for grilled chicken but instead they gave me breaded chicken on it. I showed the lady who worked their about the hair on my pasta and in less than 5 mins she brings out what looked like the same plate of pasta she brought me the first time but without the hair on it. It seems as if they just removed the hair and brought it right back to me. As for the roach on the floor, I informed one of the guys who worked their about it and he just brought out a spray bottle, picked up the roach with a napkin and sprayed the floor and wiped it afterwards. Stromboli was simply amazing! Chicken bacon ranch pizza was really dried out- I was very disappointed by it, but the Stromboli made up for it. Cheese pizza very good. Large thin crust slices. Desserts were not thawed all of the way and that always is a bit weird. Tiramisu was tasty, regardless. I would recommend the Stromboli. read more

I've tried to like them but they're customer service is just bad. I made a mistake in my order and asked for a pickup instead of delivery. I acknowledged this and asked that they warm the pizza and deliver it after I paid a $5 delivery fee and $5 tip. It took a LONG time and the pizza arrived ICE cold.
