Ever since discovering Joey's Pizza in the summer of 2024, I've been coming here occasionally ever since. To this day, I still purchase pizzas here as my preferred spot. I stumbled upon Joey's randomly when browsing local pizza places. I was on a pizza tour, trying to find the best local pizza place near me at the time. Joey's stood out to me because it ended up being my favorite. There is something very unique and delicious about their pizzas, which makes them stand out from other pizza places. I distinctly remember how delicious the pizza was compared to others. I believe they use quality ingredients and have a great recipe. Joey's is my favorite pizza spot because the pizza is really good, and the service is really friendly. They always have sports playing on the TV, and I talked to an employee about their favorite team. They not only provide great customer service, but they are also personable and friendly. I showed my cousin and my aunt Joey's Pizza once, and they still think about it to this day. They affirmed to me that it was delicious. My favorite and go-to order is a pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, and onion pizza. Their regular crust is good, but the thick crust option is also really good if you want a thicker pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza is also really good. Over the years, I've watched this business grow, they come out with nice artwork, a fresh website, and the store looks great. I've seen the things they've added over the years to create a SoCal theme, and I'm here for it. I'm always impressed with the changes when I come by every so often. I highly recommend ordering from Joey's because the pizza is great, but also the whole vibe. read more

The lovely missus wanted a big slice of pizza on the way home from the doctor's office. I know we will pass by Joey's Pizza. The two slice combo with a mini salad and a small drink is on the overhead menu board. She was torn between Mozzarella Marguerite or her favorite Hawaiian.... I ordered one of each for her. I am thinking a nice big sandwich and the young lad took my order for the large Roast Beef. He forgot to give me my drink cup...that was the only hiccup... we like the pink lemonade. The young lad helped to do a quick swap of Italian dressing for the Ranch that I mistakenly ordered... the food is ready and I thought the slices would have been separated or boxed up... too bad as we got home the brown wrapped paper cover/bag was an oily mess. The lovely missus didn't mind it as much as I did and she practically devoured the mess. My sandwich was not bad. I sensed young hands made this roast beef sandwich. The bread is nice and this sandwich was properly packed to go. Joey's Pizza was otherwise a good stop on the way home. read more

Joey's is a tried and tested Fountain Valley legend. A crust with a crisp crunch and a soft inside and great topping choices. We had traditional toppings for our 5 pizzas to feed our large party. We loved them all and the cheesy garlic bread was so popular. We had the antipasti salad and their traditional salad. We recommend asking for hot honey which adds a perfect touch of sweet and heat to add to your pizza. The interior reminds you that they have been around for a long time with the cozy walls, the ancient oven, and classic menu. The staff welcome you as if you have been a regular for years, you're in the inside. There are so many more options like their popular cold and hot sandwiches, and pasta! read more

Mozzarella sticks were very undercooked and slightly cold, although in the picture they look cooked. Pizza was just alright, the pineapple on mine was essentially fermented it had been out of the can so long. Wings were not great. This is the type of pizza that is worth fkn the roof of your mouth up over. I'll just leave it at that.

What went well? The pizza was a revelation! The crust was sturdy but crisp and delicious. The sauce was just what you want, tomato, basil, sweet-tart! The cheese/pepperoni ratio was just right and very satisfying. The ambiance is "pizza joint" there are some nice tables out front, plenty of parking. The place is as unassumingly wonderful as possible. As we sat enjoying our pizza two of my friends just showed up to pick up their own pizzas. It was a charming a small-town experience as you could hope for. Joey's was recommended by my friend's grandson, 14. He and his buddies from Edison high like to chow there after water polo! Great service, and good pizza. Ordered a pizza with meatballs and bell peppers. The toppings were delicious and tasted very fresh. I especially enjoyed the texture and freshness of the bell peppers. Not my favorite pizza experience for the price (personal preference), additionally though this is still a great bite and was a positive overall experience! Besides their awesome pizzas and salads, Joey's has a phenomenal meatball sandwich. Everything about the sandwich is just great. From the toasted bread to the generous amount of meatballs, the rich and zesty tomato sauce with the melted cheese on top. First time here after friend recommendation. It was easy to order online, pizzas were ready a few min before est time, and staff was nice. The disappointment was that the meat pizzas were very dry and didn't have much flavor. So, other than the very large size which is great for big group, it was sad that there was leftovers and nobody really wanted to take any home. read more

Good pizza, however they may cancel your door dash order without reason. One time this happened without me realizing and left me not only confused but also without a pizza for over an hour. Next time I tried ordering from here they cancelled on me for the second time in a row. Place an order at your own risk because they just may cancel on you. read more

Close to NY pizza. Crust is foldable, the sauce is not overly spiced with oregano. Service is friendly and they try to please. I order thin crust although their normal crust isn't overly thick. read more

I really enjoyed Joeys Pizza. There was plenty of parking. The inside of the location had plenty of chairs, inside and outside. The workers and the owner Rio was really friendly. We had your basic pepperoni pizza and garlic bread. They use fresh garlic on the garlic bread which made it taste great. The pizza taste was great as well. Pizza itself? 5 stars People that work here? 1 star Ordered a pizza and wings for pickup and was told 15-20 mins, showed up 25min later to be told, incredulously, that it would be another 10 or 15min. Whatever, it's Friday night they're busy, I get it. I sit and wait for my order for an additional 15min while listening to the employees take multiple complaint calls from customers as they respond with 'oh well yeah that guy's a f*cking r*tard' and 'oh, was it *this* type of guy? Yeah they always call and complain'. Meanwhile whatever show they have on in the dining area is clearly only for 18+ audiences, to say the least. First time here! We're heading to Sugo's and my daughter wanted to stop and try their pizza. We're at Joey's Pizza for the first time trying it out! The staff member who took our order was really nice and kind. They have sports TVs on, so we're watching UFC and baseball at the same time. The smell of the pizza is out of this world!
