The pizza, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I ordered a chicken Alfredo slice, again not bad pretty tasty but it was cold in the middle and this was after they threw a slice in the oven to heat it up. Im always in the area so I'll eventually come back but not anytime soon read more

We were looking for another place at 221 Main Street, but we were really pleased with the Hot Spot. No small pizzas being made, so but got an 18 inch pepperoni to go. Excellent pizza, maybe more pepperoni would make it even better but excellent crust! Not wet. read more

First of all not really welcoming, next the pizza felt as if it was just sitting there all day and microwaved up. 18 dollars for 2 slices of mid pizza is absurd. The sausage and pepperoni pizza tasted like it was a frozen pizza. Parts of the pizza were cold too. Do better HotSpot. read more

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. We went in to order a couple of pizzas. We were SECOND in line. The people in front of us ordered then we ordered. The people in front of us got their pizza pretty quickly and left. We were waiting......and waiting and WAITING when a young girl, her parents and siblings came in and ordered a pizza. It was then that one of the guys making pizzas turned the regular music off and turned on some Persian music FULL BLAST at all octaves! It didn't take long for me to realize that he was trying to impress the girl that came in with her family. He comes out to talk to her and she's laughing in an awkward kind of way like she didn't know what to do. It was pretty uncomfortable to watch. He then hands her a pizza! I was like WTF?!!! She JUST got here and ordered her pizza at the counter! How is she getting her pizza before me?!!! When I went and asked where my pizza was he said it's coming up! I see him make another pizza and place it in the oven! Meanwhile there's another group of girls waiting FOREVER for their pizza too! The icing on the cake was I asked for extra sauce and my pizza barely had ANY sauce on it! And to top everything off the pizza tasted like ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! I STRONGLY advice you to avoid this place at ALL cost! P.S. It's RIDICULOUSLY expensive too! YUCK! read more

Great spot to grab a slice of pizza after a late night out down Main Street. Quite small, but service was quick! Had ordered the margarita pizza which cost $7.99. Absolutely good very fresh out the oven which hit the spot since I was craving pizzas. Service was excellent! Loved the hip hop music being played while you eat. You know I was jamming! read more

So yes, after the bar, sure. I've been here three times. The first two visits were completely fine. But this last experience was absolutely ridiculous. The cashier (short color eyed man) started screaming at me, which is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I asked beforehand if I could grab a marker because I wanted to write my name. I was told I could if I tipped -- which I did, 25%. He kept rejecting me at first but I told him twice I had already tipped. Then the cashier suddenly started yelling at me, telling me to "get the f*** down." I explained that his coworker had already given me permission. I even asked how other people had written their names up top, because I'm 5'11" and it's clearly not easy to reach. His response? That they were all "9'8" and that he didn't care -- while continuing to scream at me to get down from the side bar seats. He then started yelling for "security" -- which, by the way, wasn't even there. Meanwhile, his own coworkers -- including another cashier and even the cooks -- all agreed with me after I explained what happened. Everyone there was kind and reasonable except him. As a woman and a paying customer, there is absolutely no situation where it is okay to be screamed at like that. I've worked in restaurants for years -- over two years as a server and four years as a cook -- and I can confidently say that behavior was completely out of line. I never leave reviews, but this pushed me to cry at the moment and for me that's not okay. He needs to be held accountable. read more

No cap: pizza at 2am. Does Hot Spot serve gourmet pizza? Nope. Will their late night eats fulfill your 1:30am post-club cravings? Absolutely! Hot Spot serves pizza by the box or slice, as well as a number of other munchies: wings, mediterranean bites, fries, etc. They're located in Downtown Huntington Beach on Main Street and are open until 2am everyday - aka, the perfect fix to the end of your night. We stopped by Hot Spot to balance our alcohol intake with some bread and cheese. They had a few meat-based pizzas available by the slice, but the rest of their menu was limited this late into the evening. Since there were slim pickings, I ended up ordering a slice of pepperoni and ate around the meat. The pizza was yummy and I went home with a full belly. I'd consider this late night pizza spot a success! read more

It's a small hole in the wall in downtown Huntington Beach. It caught my attention because I'm a fan of any place that sells pizza by the slice, although they also have an extensive non-pizza menu. When we first walked in, the pizza on display and on sale by the slice looked unappetizing and kind of tired and not all that freshly cooked (I could be wrong but that's how it looked). Perhaps seeing our reaction, the counter man offered to cook up a fresh pizza, which he did. The slices we received (pepperoni) were heavy on the grease but also heavy on the flavor. Our slices were huge but were also about $4.50 each, which is on the pricey side. Good quality, good flavor, good size slices. You make the call. read more

DONT WASTE MONEY HERE!!!!!! 80 dollars for nasty pizza We spent 80 something dollars on food, the guy answering the phone wasn't rude. But wasn't friendly either. I asked for sides of ranch, numerous times, was told it was in the bag, and we got home with no ranch for anything we ordered. Could probably get better pizza from Little Cesar's. This was 84 dollars and it was horrible. Really wish I could get my money back. Save your time and money do not go here. read more

We decided to walk over and get pizzas from here and were highly disappointed. Our large pepperoni had about 8 pepperonis in total and the veggie hardly had any vegetables. The pizzas were paper thin and I was disgusted to find a hair embedded in the cheese and dough as I was trying to "enjoy" my meal. It's pretty safe to say we will not eat here again. read more

This lobster roll was not worth $23.00. The portion is so small and when I asked the staff for condiments for the fries they didn't even give me any since there was no ketchup stock up over the counter on the side. In addition, after I ate this lobster rolls, I got a very bad stomachache. If you eat here, I recommend maybe just order pizzas but not lobster roll. read more

The strawberry French toast was very good and cooked to perfection. It is very hard to keep the center of the toast from being soggy without burning the edges so kudos to the chef. I was really impressed with the prices. Beachfront dining sometimes comes with premium prices, I found the check to be very fair for the quality of food and service. Delicious pizza and food! As soon as you walk in you're greeted by very friendly staff and introduced to a variety of menu items. They have pasta, salads, calzones, heavenly pizza (of course), all kinds of appetizers, and bomb sandwiches. The prices are extremely affordable given the location (about a 1 minute walk from the HB pier). I love their linguine meatball dish. The linguine meatball tastes amazingly better than any pasta I could conjure up at home. The pizza by the slice is so yummy!!! The slices are huge New York Style slices. It's $5 for a slice so big it's as if you're buying two or three slices in one. The pizza is magnificent here, this beats all the pizza I've ever tried by leaps and bounds. I enjoy stopping by hot spot for a nice meal and heading to the beach to walk on the sand. They also do delivery through all four major delivery apps so I sometimes order to-go so I can enjoy their great food at home too. Hot spot is a must-try if you're by the HB pier and feeling hungry!! read more

Fritzankotters in Huntington Beach got mentioned, so my wife, our neighbor, and I decided to come down for lunch at the deli, and then spent the afternoon at nearby Sunset Beach. It ended up being a good day at lunch and a great afternoon. The restaurant is located in an older strip mall, near the corner of Warner and Springdale. The mall had a lot of surface, uncovered spots, so parking wasn't a problem around lunch time. One orders and pays at the counter, and the sandwiches are brought out to you when dining in. The menu consists of both cold and hot sandwiches. There is a self serve ice water jug, along with a self-serve pickles (sliced kosher dills) and peppers (both pepperoncini and cascabella). It's a really nice touch and we took advantage. One thing that made me do a double take was the offer of $3 anytime pints of the house lager on tap. It was confirmed by the owner that it was correct, and each of us got a glass. Clover is the payment system used here, and was able to get a text with the bill. It took a bit of time for the sandwiches to come out. Our friend and I split two hot sandwiches. First being a Mock Ruben ($12.50) consisting of Corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut, and mustard on rye. I thought it was good, with a nice meld of flavors and well grilled/toasted bread (not a strong rye). Friend thought it was dry. We both agreed my sandwich was much better, Cousin Eddie ($14.25) consisting of pastrami, swiss, deli mustard, 1000 island, and pickled red cabbage. It came on a soft hoagie roll, and the flavors really melded together well. My wife got a Messi ($14.25), a roast beef with pepperjack with chimichurri and onions on ciabatta. Since my wife is not a fan of neither chimichurri and onions, I asked for it on the side, which was recorded that way on the bill. For some reason, a custom item charge of $0.75 was put on the bill (thinking it was for the side of chimichurri), and unfortunately there was chimichurri on the sandwich which my wife gamely tried to pick off. None of the sandwiches were large, nor were any of them stacked with that much meat. In fact I was able to eat half of each of the sandwiches, but for the price, I thought it was very reasonable. The pickle and pepper bar is a great idea, letting anybody add some zing to any sandwich. The service was friendly, as the owner genuinely seemed to care what we thought (though my wife didn't feel like complaining about the chimichurri). And the pints of the house blonde on tap was a bargain. They seem to have a pizza night on Thursday, and the beer would absolutely hit the spot then.
