If you live in Eastampton or the nearby area you know about John and Molly's. This place is solid. They have an excellent beer selection on tap and in bottles. You can even order beer to go. I've been coming here for years and the place never disappoints... Honestly this is just a go to spot if you live in the area. Chicken parmesan sub - the red sauce is amazing (really hard to find outside of an authentic Italian restaurant), the cheese is great and they are very generous with the cheese. The roll is toasted perfectly. - 5/5 Sweet potato fries - these are just good, excellent Regular fries - also good (not pictured) but they are basic ...- 4/5 The coleslaw- honestly I don't know what it is about this place but their coleslaw is actually amazing. Normally the side dish you would leave on the plate, however at John and Molly's... I don't know what they do to it but it's the best coleslaw I've ever had. So if you normally leave this on the side, give it a try at this place because for some reason it tastes different - 5/5 The wings- these things are great. One of the worst bars I've been to in New Jersey. I used to think highly of this place but then they got a new bartender with straight blonde hair who lets her two elderly friends hangout at the bar for free and they are all unbelievably rude. They won't stop staring at people and they won't let you sit around them. The least they could do is pretend to be nice I guess since they get to be here for free. The blonde bartender is super rude and gives very dirty looks of you ask her for anything. She's so hard to get service from, she will straight up ignore you if she doesn't feel like working. The male is super quiet and does whatever the blonde says. So basically he's useless. I'll never come here again. Only reason I give two stars is because that food is good. read more

There's so much on their menu, but I was craving seafood and this restaurant came up as one of the first choices! I came here for lunch and they have lunch specials - two pages worth and they usually have it come with a soup or a salad. They have daily soup offerings but I went with the French onion with a $2 upcharge. Worth it, because my entree was only $9.99. I got the 2 dozen mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with angel hair pasta. When the server came out with the plate, all I said was, "Wow". How was this lunch? There were way over 2 dozen mussels. I'd say about 3 dozen since I had a dozen while at the restaurant and took the rest home. There were so many mussels, you couldn't even see the pasta but it looked like a pound of pasta they threw on there. But other than the amount of mussels you get, the mussels were MEATY. For me, it needed some lemon juice to tie it altogether but still delicious. It's safe to say that I had enough for lunch the next day! The server was great, super sweet and patient. Even the hostess came to check on me and refill my water. It was an extremely casual atmosphere and you can definitely get the most bang for your buck here. From the outside, you'd think you were walking into more of a corner bar, but, once inside, you are treated to a nice simple kind of homey country feeling bar restaurant. Eastampton's hidden gem. We've been coming here for years. This family owned restaurant serves large portions that are delicious. I love the Buffalo chicken cutlet sandwich. This establishment was ok. My wife and I went for lunch after hearing that it was pretty good. The establishment really doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was pretty decent. We were sit in the back corner and felt kind of forgot about. Our waiter did not come to often but the waiter was friendly though. My wife ordered the pressure fried chicken which was pretty tasty and French fries. I had the seafood cakes which had an assortment of seafood in it. Me being a seafood lover and from Maryland, I was not satisfied. I'm guessing it was the filling but it just was not good to me. The onion rings were great tho. This tavern has some of the best food we have encountered in our area. The place is always full and always loud. The dining area is a bit small for all of the customers to pass by each other but it does not prevent one from enjoying their meals and from exciting their tastebuds with great quality food, the portions are large, the service is quick and enjoyable and if you do not mind all the background noise you can enjoy your lunch or dinner here. You can't beat the $2 beer (drafts and bottles), gigantic portions of delicious food (they'll make substitutions to give you exactly what you need), great weekly bands (no cover!!! amazing!!! and believe it or not, there is actually room to dance even with the band in the corner!), and fabulous service. Great place to grab a brew and chat it up with your parents, in-laws, friends, co-workers, kids, etc...for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or your favorite sporting event (yes, they have lots of tvs and sportsfeeds)! The food, service, and atmosphere at John & Molly's are all so great. The restaurant offers ample seating and a large bar, with a friendly, helpful staff and plenty of TV's to watch the game. The portions are big but they definitely deliver on quality and quantity. The Fish was over- cooked soggy veggies and loud atmosphere during to overcrowded seating areas. Service was timely and pleasant.

So I've been here a couple of times and always enjoyed the food and staff. Today however, I took my daughter here on a dad/ daughter outing ( we still do it after 26 years). We were sat in a little room and forgotten. I have been in customer service for just about 40 years and have seen the worst of customers over the last 3 years with the pandemic, I know everyone is short staffed. I have learned patients, however after what seemed like 10 or 15 minutes (probably on 5-10) I caught the hostesses eye she could see I was frustrated. She went to the waitstaff then back to the kitchen. Within moments a young man came out and apologized profusely . I asked if he was John e cause you could tell he genuinely was upset that he had guests waiting. He explained that he was the manager and stated his name was Eddie. Eddie proceeded to comp my cocktail and offered my daughter one as well as an appetizer. My daughter declined the cocktail. Eddie checked back on us and apologized again. Well done Eddie! If there is a John and Molly please recognize this gem you have, in a world where you walk into place without a hi or thank you. You have a star who comes out and cares for your guests. Do what ever you need to, to keep him in your employment. It is awesome that he is empowered and does the right thing. Without a complaint being made. Eddie turned what would have been just another guy not returning to the establishment into someone who will be back and will tell others to go there when they are in the area. We frequently order out for John & Molly's, we absolutely love their Manhattan clam chowder! Their coleslaw is hands down the absolute best! Even better than mine! We consider ourselves real beer- seekers in the area and only recently discovered John and Molly's. It happens to be the best beer bar in a 50 mile range - at least! For the first time in 10 years, there's a beer bar with such great options that you don't even need to check a list before going - which says a lot! Their food is absolutely excellent as well, and the staff is well trained, courteous, and professional. They also know beer. We are so happy to have found this place, and in three months have probably been back 12 times. The bartenders are ridiculously nice, the food isn't cheap, but it's also extremely high-quality... This place is so delicious! Very caring staff, and I'm assuming John & Molly were there today- they were so kind. We are in the area for a wedding, and we happened to pop in here for lunch. We were so happy with it! I got the buffalo chicken salad, and when I tell you it was HUGE, it was massive. Their buffalo sauce was so good- had a good kick to it. My significant other & friend got the New York Reuben & Brooklyn Reuben, and these were both open-faced sandwiches, which they didn't expect- it was a bit hard for them to eat. I wasn't really sure about this place, but decided to check it out after scrolling thru the reviews. Stopped in on a Saturday night around 8p and it was packed. Wait time was almost an hour. You couldn't really move in the bar area because so many people were waiting. I got lucky and was able to snag some seats at the bar just a few minutes after getting there. The service was decent for a busy Saturday night. The drinks were reasonably priced. I was not drinking beer that night, but they did have a few nice beers you don't see too often. The food was actually very good. The portion sizes are huge! I took mine home and was able to get three meals out of it. I understand why people were willing to wait. Overall, a good experience.
