My wife and I had a seafood casserole and a fish and chip, which were very tasty but we both liked the picked beets the best - not such a great commentary for a seafood restaurant if we enjoyed the beets best of all. Never going back! Had the Mozambique style seafood with rice. I feel sick right now and my wife says hers was gross she had the lazy man's lobster. It really was sub par food. My Mozambique sauce was like wallpaper paste. I'm so disappointed. I'm $100 poorer and I don't feel well from the food. I think it got 4.8 stars on Yelp that blows my mind. I ordered the calamari plate. It was perfectly cooked. Lightly breaded and crispy, I only had to add a little lemon and salt and it was divine. The fries were excellent as well! My partner got a burger with onion rings, he had nothing but great things to say about it. He gave me one to try. It's clear they're made in house, hand battered and fried with care. And the onion inside was a thick slice, no skimping here! Overall we had a great time! It was my first time here and the service and food were great! I ordered the fried clams app, half and half platter of oyster and haddock, and a lobster roll. I also got a free New England Clam Chowder for checking in on yelp too! The food was great! The seafood was fresh, the batter was perfect and crispy, and the lobster roll was full of big lobster pieces. I do wish the lobster had more spice and the roll had some butter flavor to it, but it was still a great sandwich. The soup tasted really good too! All I can say is that we will not be going back. I got a combo plate of scallops and calamari - with all of six small scallops, but it was too expensive for a combo platter. Calamari was OK. My date had a disaster of fried fish and onion rings...the batter was plastered on both, like joint compound, and the onions and fish were buried in the greasy stuff. They should never ever use that batter again, it is absolutely awful. If I had complained, I would have felt badly for the waitress. There was also a wasp during this time while I was in my table outside, I'm a person who is afraid of wasps to a hellish extent. The waitresses themselves are extremely nice in manners and behavior which made the place better even with this messy day.
