$100 for a service call. All the professional plumbers would charge $0 during business hours. Rip off.

Amy's Plumbing - $50 discount on all drain cleaning services in Broward county Florida

    Amy's Plumbing

    (141 reviews)

Yes, Amy's Plumbing, repeatedly!…read more Clear communication, rapid responsiveness, superb service. HIGH QUALITY. She's done that before, and this time the job was also to repair someone else's shoddy "work," including an old electrical installation. Amy to the rescue, including a referral to a superb electrician who, like Amy, communicated clearly and rapidly. She's an artisan of her craft, and very much appreciated for it.

Extremely disappointing experience. I had been using Amy's Plumbing for a while -- they were always…read moreexpensive, but at least upfront with pricing and the work was done as promised. Unfortunately, the most recent job showed a complete change in their ethics and customer care. I called them to fix a leaking bathtub faucet in my guest bathroom. I was presented with two options: * $850 for a 3-handle replacement but requiring a hole in the wall, and * $1,150 for a 1-handle replacement with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I agreed to the more expensive option specifically because they guaranteed no wall damage. While I was off the premises, Amy called insisting the plumber needed to be paid immediately before leaving. I paid. When I got home, I found a large hole in the wall in my master bedroom -- the exact thing they promised would not happen. I called Amy right away. Instead of owning the mistake, she blamed "miscommunication," said the plumber should have called me, and then started gaslighting me by claiming the job was "more expensive" and that I should be grateful that they kept the "old price." Absolutely absurd -- especially considering the already outrageous cost. I offered two reasonable solutions: * reduce the cost to the $850 option (the one that did require a hole), or * fix the wall they damaged. She refused both and showed zero interest in resolving the issue. Key points future customers should know: Pricing has become outrageous; greed has replaced fairness. They do not uphold their agreements -- even written or verbal commitments mean nothing here. Customer care is nonexistent. It feels like they have enough clients and simply don't care about losing anyone. If you're looking for an honest, reliable, and ethical plumbing company, this is not it. I never leave reviews like this, but the level of dishonesty and disrespect I experienced deserves to be public. UPDATE / CLARIFICATION: The owner posted a response that unfortunately does not match what actually happened, so I want to clarify a few key facts for anyone reading this. I was originally given two options for replacing my leaking tub faucet: $850 for a 3-handle valve, with a hole in the back wall. $1,150 for a single-handle upgraded valve, with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I chose the more expensive option solely because I was told it would avoid cutting into the bedroom wall. However, when I came home, the wall was cut open anyway, and the tiles in the bathroom were also disturbed. I never received a call, no one asked permission, and no one sent photos before opening the wall. The work was done without any notice. The owner now claims that: the tiles "were not disturbed" (they were), I approved additional work because of corrosion (I was never contacted), and that "no one promised the wall wouldn't be opened" (the entire reason for choosing the $1,150 option was exactly that promise). These statements contradict what was discussed before the job started and what I saw afterward. I asked for a fair resolution -- either: * adjust the price to the $850 option, since that's effectively the method they ended up using, or * repair the wall they opened without authorization. Both were refused. I had used this company before when their pricing was high but transparent. This last experience showed a complete change: the price increased into unreasonable territory, the agreement wasn't honored, and decisions were made without my approval, followed by a response that tried to reframe the situation instead of addressing the issue. I stand by my original review. If you value straightforward communication, predictable pricing, and respect for your home, please be cautious here.

What started as a monthlong nagging mess of stress ended with festivities and peace of mind thanks…read moreto Joey Blondet from Paradise Plumbing.   My 1970's shower handle was not pushing or pulling to release or stop the dripping water. A contractor initially told me that this will be a $3000 repair job requiring a hole cut out in the kitchen wall to get into the back innards of the shower. Otherwise, he would have to destroy the shower paneling.   Second opinion time. Enter Paradise Plumbing with their solid technical expertise. The cartridge just needed to be replaced and Joey fixed it quickly within 30 minutes. My shower also had an incompatible shower trim kit in which the fitting was awkwardly forced together. Though they did not have the trim kit part, he pointed me in the right direction to get the missing component overnighted to me. Easy install.   Altogether, this was less than $500 vs. the initial $3000 which was drilling in my head. Cheers to Paradise Plumbing. I only used them once prior but now they have my solid trust.

This review should be 5 stars…read more They came to fix a sink that was Jerry rigged and needed repairing. They showed up on time. They fixed the problem quickly. The tech was professional and friendly. He cleaned up after himself. He charged me the same as his estimate. So why 4 stars? They use an AI agent scheduler. The AI texted me conflicting info the morning of my appointment. It made me think that my appointment would be delayed or canceled. It wasted my time by impersonating a real human who could be reasoned with. I texted it back, arguing with an AI agent about it. It stressed me out when I absolutely did not need that unnecessary aggravation. Turns out the AI hallucinated the delay. The extra stress was completely unnecessary. Get a person to communicate with customers, please. Texting with an AI impersonating a human is undignified at best, insulting at worst. It feels like deception and disdain. This should be 5 stars. They did a 5 star job. Their AI customer service lost them a star.

He had completed the exact same project for my neighbor who stated "Came out the next day and pulled a EZpermit from the City of Miami. Total cost was $2300." Upon entering my building the guy says he doesn't have a permit, didn't know he needed a permit, and I had to pay him an additional $650 for the permit. I said no. I can't afford that. We argue back and forth and he says he's going to charge me more if he has to leave and come back. Mind you, he already had $1,055 of my deposit so I would have lost that. I relentlessly said an absolutely not. The guy does the job anyway, says "I'm going the extra mile here. Hopefully you'll appreciate it in the end." Claims he's doing me a favor by charging me $50 less. So my $2100 original quote becomes $2675. He claims he didn't remember doing my Neighbors project continues with excuse and excuse why he is owed the extra money for the permit. This is BAD BUSINESS! Do not go to these people. I can't believe someone would do this and with a smile on their face. Pitiful. **Long story short-this business did not have the proper permit and then charged me an additional $565 for their own mistake. Period. Words and lengthy replies are merely word salad to try to justify the main problem; charging me $565 for your mistake. **Update: This guy has relentlessly called, messaged, and sent me lengthy voice notes stating how he "hopes he never has to work with a client like me again." Not only did I pay for this guys mistake but now I'm reminded of how his inappropriate male toxicity has been implemented to intimidate his clients in to paying for his unethical business practices.

Unfortunately neither the cartridge nor anything else in the system had a brand name on it. Brought it in to 3 plumbing supply shops. Two had no idea what to use to replace it and the third guessed but was not sure (and turned out to be wrong). Luckily, I found Dan at Davie Plumbing. I sent him photos of the cartridge, and with just the photos, he found the correct replacement. Finding the right cartridge saved me from what I had been told by a professional plumber who wanted to rip out tiles and replace the whole system. Thanks, Dan.

There was water everywhere, it hit me like a sledgehammer but within a few minutes, I regained my composure and realized I had a burst pipe. Once I found the burst pipe I immediately turned off the water from the main valve. I learned when my central AC went out, don't go to Home Depot first lol. Go to the commercial suppliers, they have parts and knowledge you'll never find at Home Depot or Lowes, so I trekked to Davie Plumbing up the street. Unfortunately, the dude working there Dano couldn't locate the repair parts I needed for my issue because the pipes are polyethylene which has been illegal to use in construction in the county since the early 90's I believe. So not many suppliers carry parts or repair items for that particular pipe. So dude told me to go to Home Depot, and said they definitely had the parts. He not only explained to me how to repair the pipe, but he also drew out a schematic of the parts I needed and how to put it together. I went to the Home Depot which oddly is in the same plaza and found the parts with absolutely no help what so ever from the DeVry grads that work there. I actually asked the front desk to send someone to plumbing, and when they arrived I asked the individual the questions and they said, " I don't know". Now this is the person who works in the plumbing section and they're clueless. Just to double-check that I bought the correct items I went back to Davie Plumbing. The Dude validated I bought the correct items, but he also explained in more detail how to fix my pipe with the items I bought. When I arrived home it took me about 15 minutes to fix my pipe, which saved me a few hundred bucks, and probably more since it would have been an after-hours plumbing call. Thanks, Davie Plumbing
