I was having particular trouble printing something I designed in Canva and they worked with me until I got the coloring just as I wanted. Last week we had them print newsletters created by little kids. The online spot they designed them in did not come in time for their publishing party. Grand Copy Center saved the day for these kids (and it looked 10x better than where they usually get them printed). Appreciate an Oakland business that is easy to go back to again and again.

I didn't go there again until about a month ago and had the exact same experience. All I wanted were some black and white copies, printed back and front, and stapled. I was grossly overcharged, the man was rude and mean again (making fun of me because I didn't know how to operate his computer), and argued with me because I questioned the charges. In my previous review I wrote about Evelyn who was very rude. But she has changed to be one of the best in Customer Service. Maybe she was taught how to do it the right way. The first time when I went in about a month and a half back she greeted and smiled and had a small chitchat. I was thinking not much of it. The second time I went she smiled and greeted as well. Today when I went in she was behind the counter she popped out of the counter and wished me good morning and also wished me to have a great day. That made my day. A year later I returned and asked the employee (Mee) at the print center for help and she told me I had to order online. I said "OK but last year when I was here somebody helped me. Can you help with me with these so I can get them today?" She repeated that I would have to go online. "OK, so I just wanna be clear-- you're not gonna help me?" She reluctantly helped me and printed a of couple flyers (which took less than five minutes) and then I ordered the rest online. I should've known better than to order more flyers, so I should probably rent myself one out of five stars as well. I placed two orders by 2 PM on a Tuesday because I needed them on Thursday so I knew they would be ready on Wednesday. They were NOT ready by Thursday. I needed some of the items on Friday so I went in to see what the holdup was. Mee was there. She could not explain why nothing was ready. I asked, "How long will it take for me to get to one flyer?" She told me 30 minutes. "30 minutes? To print ONE flyer?" "Yeah, because it evolves cutting." Really? One piece of paper that you don't have to cut at all will take 30 minutes because it involves cutting? I did not have 30 minutes to watch her print one simple piece of paper because I had to go to get ready for this event. One of my orders was ready on Saturday and the other one was ready on Monday. Apparently someone messed up the second order because even though I received a phone call that it was available, I could not find it in the order pick up area. I looked through each order three times. Then Mee couldn't find it. She didn't seem to believe me that someone called me, so I literally played the voicemail for her twice. She found it in a different area where packages are delivered. Apparently my order was shipped to another location and then someone caught the mistake and shipped it to Alameda. I would never trust them with another order again.
