Andrew came to check out the moisture in our apartments. He was very kind and very thorough and gave me some information of what could be in the walls and the building of moisture. We are on the receiving end of the service but Everything thing goes through our apartments. The moisture results did not come back till about a day and a half but for us we waited 2 business days. So far I have no complaints, they are due to clean out the damage area at their earliest convenience. I will come back after they do the work :). read more

Workers came on time and did what they were supposed to do. We're very helpful and cooperative. Did extra things when I asked them to do them. Put all of the things that they removed from the laundry room into the living room in a well-organized way and they took photos before and after. Supervisor came by and checked on them. They put in a lot of work especially the guy that was removing the asbestos! I contacted just one other company but they charged quite a bit more for a smaller area so I went with this company especially since the Restoration company that I had been dealing with recommended them. One of the downsides of having an older home is the possibility of asbestos. We wanted to get our ceilings scraped of the acoustic "popcorn" but I was unsure what the process was. I reached out to JJ&S, who first told me I needed a confirmed asbestos report and kindly referred me to a company they work with - even telling us that we could go with any other company to do the work if it came back positive- not just theirs. After we had a confirmed report, I circled back with JJ&S to have them come out to our house and provide estimate. I will recommend that you call the office rather than correspond via Yelp or email because it was more efficient - you can even send text messages to inquire about the status. Bear in mind, If you have asbestos in your home and you hire JJ&S to remove, they need to wait 10 business days to obtain the proper permit for removal - so build that time into your timeline! Once they started on the project, they sent me follow up emails at the end of the day to give me a status report. After removal, you can have JJ&S refer you to a company that will conduct an air test to make sure the removal was done properly - this is third-party and an additional fee - for any reason, if the test fails, JJ&S would clean it until it was clear - that's service! Luckily they did a great job the first time and we were clear. Be advised that they do not paint the ceiling for you after removal, so make sure that's included in your paint needs. Would happily recommend JJ&S - they did a great job for me and hope they can do the same for you. read more

The failure to pull a permit in South Bay caused me a fine of $6000!!! Poor quality of service and smoking and intoxication of employees on site. When spoke to owner he has taken zero responsibility and lies about knowing that the permit needs to be submitted and the team failed to appropriately contain the home. The primary project manager left out of the country. This led to chaos and confusion amongst this team. Pls don't use this company as your going to be egregiously disappointed. read more

I don't live at the property and I learned from my contractor that they did much more work than was indicated by the company that did the mold analysis. In addition, they were very careless in damaging some marble base tile and disposed of nearly 14' of marble base tiles and marble backsplash tiles. JJ&S was recommended to remove the asbestos at my rental after a cold water slab leak. Unfortunately, mold was also found in several areas and needed removal as well. I was discouraged, thinking I had a really big job ahead and that my renter might be out of the house for a long time. However, in short time, expert and efficient at what they do, JJ&S thoroughly eliminated all the asbestos and mold and made wall cuts for the new pipe line where indicated by the plumber. The job was finished, neat and clean, and the work was quality. What was exceptionally impressive about JJ&S was the care given to the customer. Everyone was courteous and pleasant. We had to remove water damaged flooring from the first floor of our property. Underlying it we found layer after layer of asbestos linoleum and mastic. The renovation process ground to a halt. We weren't sure if the asbestos was disturbed when removing the top layer. Getting these kind of surprises is scary and (super) frustrating. Fortunately, my wife found JJ&S after speaking to multiple remediation companies. She was impressed by how responsive and communicative the team was. They laid out the plan and from the moment we signed the contract, they did everything they said they were going to do, when they said they'd do it. Their contract even included guaranteed start and end dates. I've never seen that with any other contractor and it was very helpful in planning the next steps. They even finished early, before the contract end date. My wife was the point person. She was texting back and forth with Alfredo (supervisor) and Gabby (office), almost everyday throughout the process. They were very good about answering questions and making adjustments.
