I, like I'm sure many, hate the idea of seeing a dentist because of the pain, the drill sounds and all the usual stress points. However Pomona Dental Group is a dental office that makes me feel comfortable from start to finish. Doctor is easy to talk to, really down to earth and I feel like knows how people view visits in general so he talks to you in such a manner that takes that into mind. When he's discussing treatment or process, it's very straightforward and no bs of any kind and ensures you know why the recommendations are as such. The overall staff in that facility all seem to be on the same wavelength too because everyone just seems in a good mood. My shutouts to the two hygienists I worked with the last two visits. I unfortunately cannot remember who the first from my previous visit was, but I definitely remember Reina. Reina is such a sweetheart and besides being an open book with conversation, knows how to handle dental cleaning and prep work with causing you the least amount of pain. She is vigilant in ensuring you are comfortable and if you have any particular sensitivity she is on top of it. I recommend this facility highly. The building itself from the outside may look unassuming but you'll be well taken care of once inside.

They explained the process clearly and worked together so well -- the communication was great and they made sure I felt safe the entire time. I even asked Suzie, the dental assistant, to hold my hand during the injections, and she did without hesitation. I was so appreciative because I honestly don't think I would've been able to get through it otherwise. They knew I was nervous, especially since it was my first root canal, and they even played music to lighten the mood, which helped a lot. I genuinely recommend them. This work was done within the last few months. More recently, I also had my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't catch the dental assistant's name, but she was confident, comforting, and really knew what she was doing. I asked her to hold my hand as well, and again, she didn't hesitate -- which I was soooo thankful for. The doctor, Dr. Zaki, was AMAZING. Truly 10/10. He was so quick and gentle that I originally planned to only remove three teeth, but he worked so efficiently that I ended up having him take out the last one too. I highly recommend this office. They made every experience comfortable, fast, and as stress-free as possible -- especially for someone with dental anxiety like me.

They took me in within 2 minutes. The whole staff was very friendly and the facility is kept clean and cool. Dr. Choi went over my X-rays, his dental hygienist did my cleaning, I paid, and I was done. Without insurance, I only paid 130$. I've paid 150$ where I went before and that's without X-rays. I spoke to Silvia, the office manager, who assured me she would contact our insurance and provide an estimate. Days later, she emailed me a quote that raised red flags. When I checked the exact procedure codes on my insurance company's website, I discovered she was charging the full 70%--which is what insurance is supposed to pay--directly to me, the patient. This made it seem like they were billing both me and the insurance the same amount, potentially engaging in double-dipping. When I called the Glendora office to get clarity, the staff said I had to speak with Silvia. She wasn't in, but the front desk casually explained that "this is just the price we feel like charging," and if insurance pays more, they'll refund the patient. That's not how transparent billing or honest medical practice should work. I tried contacting Silvia again, this time at their Claremont Smiles office. Not only was she evasive, but when asked to explain the pricing, she suddenly claimed she needed to speak to the regional manager, Ariana. I reminded her that she is the office manager--yet she couldn't answer a basic question and delayed the conversation for another week. When she finally responded via email, she said my son needed to come in person for an estimate--over a week after I originally reached out and after acknowledging my son's pain. I asked to see the billing breakdown from my husband's previous oral surgery (also done at this office) to compare. My husband was sitting next to me and verbally authorized Silvia to speak to me. She refused to proceed unless he repeated a very specific sentence she demanded, even though I had already explained the request clearly. Once again, she deflected responsibility to Ariana, and when I asked for Ariana's contact information, Silvia hung up on me. The lack of professionalism, the runaround, and the shady billing practices are unacceptable. I will be reporting Ecco Dental to my insurance company.
