Alright, before you read this let me say I totally understand and agree that you normally would not associate a dental procedure to a pleasant experience but hear me out on this. I had been having a tooth ache for months and my regular dentist (who is fantastic- Dr. Robin Su) told me that I more than likely needed a root canal as my tooth had been cracked and it was not going to improve. Without boring you with the details, Dr. Robin referred me to Upland Endodontix. So throughout my life, all I've heard was that root canals are terrible and literally everyone had nothing but negative things to say about them. I mean people have even said "I'd rather have my appendix removed before having a root canal". Well, needless to say I was not overly excited about this and even contemplated just living with the pain. Well, fast forward. I walk into the office and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. Ashley and Alexis handled all the paperwork and were very friendly and professional. After only a few moments, I was brought back where I met Al, who took care of me the entire time. He was very helpful and explained everything in detail. Dr. Vu was also very professional and completed the process in about 30 minutes. Seriously, a root canal in 30 minutes. Now let me tell you I hate needles. I mean Ive had several big surgeries and before this, I would have put this right up at the top- total sissy. But as for the process, I could not have been more wrong. When I say this entire process was nothing worse than having a normal cavity filling, that's how I would describe it. Sure it's more in depth but the way they handled was very straight forward- you get a few shots, they cover your face, and do some drilling and filling. My wife developed sudden, severe tooth pain that quickly turned into intense headaches affecting the entire side of her face. What started on a Saturday night became an hour-by-hour struggle. We first saw a dentist on Monday, where they diagnosed an infection, prescribed amoxicillin and 800 mg ibuprofen, and recommended extracting the tooth. Unfortunately, the medication provided very little relief, and the pain continued. We sought a second opinion on Wednesday. That office recommended a root canal but didn't have an endodontist available and couldn't see her until the following week. With my wife still in significant pain, I spent most of the night and early am searching specifically for an endodontist who could see her as soon as possible. We came across Upland Endodontix. We had actually been considering another office, but after reading reviews, I didn't feel as confident. The professionalism and consistency of the reviews here gave us a much better feeling, so we reached out. They contacted us first thing Thursday morning and scheduled her for a 2:00 p.m. appointment that same day. From the moment we arrived, everyone was professional, kind, communicative, and genuinely caring. The doctor explained everything clearly, treated her very gently, and was able to save the tooth with a root canal. The difference afterward was incredible. Before treatment, even with antibiotics and prescription-strength ibuprofen, the pain never really went away--it was only slightly dulled. After the procedure, the same medications actually eliminated her remaining discomfort, allowing her to finally begin recovering. She was in and out in about 45-50 minutes, and the experience couldn't have gone better. We're incredibly grateful to the entire team for fitting her in so quickly and providing such excellent care. Wow!Wow!Wow! Shout out to the best, Upland Endodontix! Let me start by saying I was in excruciating pain all night. My personal dentist office was closed on Friday. Thankfully my dentist office referred me to Upland Endodontix. I thought I had to call them but to my surprise I received a call from the best front desk team, Ashley and later Alexis. They scheduled me for 3 PM originally. They were already booked and I was a referral. I told Ashley I was in so much so if they had a cancellation please call me. I hung up and wondered how I could make it until 3 PM, it was 8:30 AM. I prayed for strength to endure the pain until then and 5 minutes later I received a call back from Alexis telling she mentioned my pain to Dr. Byun who is God sent and he told me to come in immediately. When I walked in I was greeted by the epic duo team Ashley and Alexis. Savannah came and greeted me just as I sat down. She took me back to the room and took X-rays. She was extremely gentle as she manuevered the machine. Dr. Byun walked in afterwards and asked me about my pain. His bedside manners are awesome. He listened intently and proceeded to trouble shoot to find the root of the problem. Ironically I had to get a root canal. Between Dr. Byun and Savannah, the procedure was expertly performed. I was told that I would need a root canal treatment the same day that I went to my normal dentist and they took me in without any worries or problems. The service was incredible. The doctor was very helpful and quick with his operation. I couldn't have had a better experience and I trust that they give the best of care very fortunate that I also had an insurance supplier that was supported by their office. Dr. Vu was absolutely incredible! I can't recommend there services enough. Going in for a root canal is not my idea of something fun to do. I asked for the "laughing gas" and she said no problem. I generally am not completely averse to oral procedures, but I find myself subconsciously tightening my arms and legs without realizing it. Between the initial numbing q-tip, the following injections and the nitrous oxide, I was golden. She was very pleasant and made sure I was comfortable. Alexis and Ashley were very pleasant as well when I checked in, smiles and bright personalities! The assistant, Angela, was there to answer my questions and deal with my sort of nervous energy and failed attempts at humor, LoL! I left with no pain and drove home with no issues or concerns. My dentist referred me to Upland Endodontix, and the experience was absolutely amazing. First, they gave me lip balm before and after the procedure -- such a thoughtful touch! Second, they provided a warm facial towel to freshen up afterward, which felt so comforting. While Dr. Byon worked, he used impressive high-tech equipment and kept me informed every 5-10 minutes about what he was doing and how much longer the procedure would take. That really helped ease my nerves. Anyone who's had a root canal knows how uncomfortable it can be when debris gets in your mouth and throat, making you cough or choke while waiting for suction. Not here! They used this adorable little umbrella around my tooth that caught everything and prevented debris from going into my mouth. I've never seen that before -- genius! I was referred to this clinic by another dentist. The specific tooth requiring root canal treatment and the related X-ray images were sent to them in advance. When I arrived at the clinic, I was kept sitting in the dental chair for approximately 30 minutes. After that, the dentist reviewed my X-ray, but no treatment was started. Before beginning any procedure, I was asked to speak with the front desk regarding pricing. I was then quoted approximately $1,600 for the treatment. I found this amount unreasonably high and declined the treatment. Despite the fact that no treatment or procedure was performed, I was subsequently told that I had to pay a $130 consultation fee. I did not accept this charge and did not make any payment, because I was never informed of any fees prior to the visit or examination. Patients are legally required to be informed in advance about costs, procedures, and alternatives. This falls under the principle of informed consent, patient rights including the right to prior disclosure and consent, and the transparency and disclosure obligations required by the California Dental Board and general healthcare regulations. Even though I clearly explained my legal rights to them, I later learned that the $130 charge was sent to a collection agency for payment. I am currently filing complaints and reports with all relevant regulatory and official authorities regarding this matter. Transparency and respect for patient rights are essential in healthcare. My dentist referred me here when an old root canal started causing me pain. The office was very peaceful and clean. The staff was very nice and fun to chat with. The endodontist himself wasn't too talkative but that's OK. He was still kind, very informative, explained things clearly, and got straight to work. I was in and out in about an hour! During the procedure, they had a small blanket I could use since I get cold easily. Afterwards, they gave me a small packet of lip balm and mints that had the company logo. I liked that! I was referred for a root canal evaluation. I was able to get an appointment for same day. Staff was very efficient. Dr Kory confirmed that I needed a root canal and proceeded to have me sign consents and have a scan so he could see what he had to do. He said normally molars had 2 roots, but mine had 3 and one of them divided into two towards the bottom. Good call on his part. A normal root canal is done in under an hour, mine took him an hour and a half. Every step was explained and I was constantly asked how I was doing and if I felt any discomfort he would inject me with more anesthesia as needed. He was very professional, compassionate, and kind. Thank you Dr Kory for helping me get rid of my miserable toothache. I couldn't take it anymore. I give him a 5/5 and would definitely recommend to my family and friends!!! read more

I can't believe I am saying this but I had a very good experience at Upland Endodontix when my dentist determined that I needed a root canal in my back molar. It had been about thirty years since I had my last root canal and it was a very bad experience, going in several times for more drilling before the pain finally stopped. So needless to say I was very nervous and not looking forward to having it done. However, the staff and Dr. Byun were so professional and they throughly communicated the process through the whole procedure. I never experienced any after pain and they even called me for two days after to check on me and see how I was doing. I received a root canal procedure on February 23 performed by Dr. BYUN. The staff is very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. When entering the office they make you feel very welcome. My experience with the root canal with the doctor was exceptional. I felt very safe and handled with care. His assistant was very professional and nice. Also, the equipment that was used for the procedure was up-to-date and and making my experience little to no pain I would definitely recommend this for specialized dental procedures that you need since my procedure.
