Really good New York style pizza! Good crust, good sauce, good cheese -- no complaints here. As an East Coaster, I find the pizza options in the Valley pretty lacking overall. Johnny Bronx is one of the best options. This particular location has kind of an unusual setup. I ordered online with DoorDash and went to pick it up. There's a walkup window or a drive thru, and that's it. I'm not sure how the drive-thru works -- if you roll up and order a whole pie, do you have to sit there for 20 minutes while they bake it? If you're picking up something you ordered ahead, what happens if you end up behind someone who's waiting 20 minutes for a pie they're ordering at the window? I have logistic questions. But I parked, walked up, and got my order just fine. Kid at the window had his back turned on his phone and didn't look up at me while I stood there for a couple of minutes. I guess I get it -- probably not a lot of foot traffic on a winter day. But he fully walked away into the back without making eye contact with me, and a girl who was much more on the ball came up and helped me. So not bad. Food's good. But the setup is weird. read more

Went last night 3/18/2026. Drive through. ordered a meatball Sub. paid and told it would be run to my car after parking. Waited 15 minutes and saw all the cars behind me get their food. Walked up to window and asked for update on Sub. Was told the Sub oven was broken and it would be 6 more minutes. After i few more minutes I and the Sub finally going in the oven, Waited another 10 minutes before i got it. While I waited, noticed the staff (6 folks) did not wear gloves or hats/ hairnets. Not only is this location close to home, but I really like their NY style crust (my favorite crust of all time). Some may argue that their pizza is a bit on the greasy side, but isn't that a part of what makes it great? Caught them at a very busy time, told it would be 15 to 20 minutes before they were ready, came in at approximately 15 minutes to a very packed waiting area. I was not greeted or helped as all hands were busy, asked a another customer how long they had been waiting and told five minutes. I waited at least ten more minutes before someone asked me what I ordered, then they discovered that they had not started my order, Oop's!! Big rush now to get me out the door, get home and start eating and noticing that the crust is not cooked throughly. I am updating my review, not for the pizza but for the outstanding response from the staff from a person with a Jersey attitude. Tonight I order two 14 inch pizzas for pick up at 540, when I got to the window at 542 I was told they had a issue with a order from door dash and my pizza will be ready in 8 minutes (just put in now I question). I gave a little attitude to the girl (she smiled) and parked to wait on the pie. Received the pizzas in 10 minutes by the manager, gave him a attitude, BUT he was to nice! Really love this place, but recently went and their special had a ranch drizzle. I didn't want my pizza to get soggy on the way to work so I asked for it on the side. When they read off the order they said special, no drizzle, size of ranch, which I asked for clarification on if they were charging me for a side of ranch or if they were able to put the ranch that is included on the pizza on the side. THEN they clarified they were going to charge me extra to have it on the side. Never had them do that before. I've been offered to have the drizzles on their pizzas be put on the side before, both when I ordered from the set menu items and specials, and was never charged extra so it was just a weird situation. Crew just needs better training on how to properly communicate what they are and aren't able to do, because charging me extra for something and not communicating that is not the best customer service. Ordered 2 pizzas, told us it would be ready in 40 minutes, we were driving and figured we could wait a bit, no biggies. Seemed like they had a huge order which backed everything up. Let me start off by saying, this is one of the closest pizza places you'll get to a New York slice. I frequent Johnny Bronx but today I was disappointed when the girl at the drive through told me a certain price and after tap paying she quickly took the hand held device in. Come to quickly find out the price she told me was not the price that came through on my statement which was prompted on my bank app notification. I asked her for a receipt which she didn't offer and when I asked she appeared shocked. After receiving my receipt I saw she gave herself a 20% tip without my consent. I always tip, but this was not fair. I spoke to her and she looked confused. She said she skipped that part, then she told me randomly that they pull in all their tips..... what threw me off was she seemed to have been giving me attitude rather than being apologetic. She suggested I can speak to her manager Parker with slight attitude, I said yes please I'd like to. After a pause I asked if she could get him for me and again she had slight attitude saying yea... as though she was begging defensive. When I spoke to Parker, he was very apologetic and even provided drinks for me, while letting me know that our lunch was on him saying a full refund would be processed. I highly recommend the pizza, the place is clean and the manager Parker is awesome and for that I'll be back again soon. Just make sure to check your receipts. I grew up in Jersey City, NJ in a neighborhood that was predominantly Italian, including myself. There was a pizza parlor on every block/corner. There's nothing like a NY style slice that you folded and leaned forward to eat while standing at the counter. Johnny Bronx is 100% authentic and spot on. Outside the Northeast there are only a handful of authentic NY style pizzerias. This place and Bronx Pizza in San Diego are two of the best. Give it a try. Also, I've read reviews where people complained about the grease. All pizza is greasy but thinner NY style releases more of it because it's thin and doesn't soak in like the thicker pies. While we don't allow you to dab it with a napkin in Jersey (that'll be a sin) it's ok to do that here. read more
