We decided to give it a try as we have not been to a Carino's in over a year or two. Unfortunately we haven't been missing anything. The service was lacking and they were far from busy. The staff kept bumping the back of my chair and there was plenty of room. We had to ask to have our water refilled. Starting with the bread and garlic olive oil, it's changed, no more delicious herbs or roasted garlic. The garlic was the consistency of toffee and stuck to our teeth. They also don't have oil bottles on the tables anymore. The mozzarella sticks were a little grainy. I asked for a Caesar salad but received a house, the lettuce tasted like a freezer and the dressing was no where to be found. Our entrees were the better part of our meal. The cheese tort with meat sauce and fettuccine Alfredo were nice but still not quite up to par. Finally the turtle cheesecake it was very dense and heavy, appears to be straight from the freezer. We stopped here on our way through Yukon. We were seated promptly, but that's about all that was positive with our visit. Apparently the air conditioning is not sufficient, as they had a big noisy industrial type fan blowing into the dining area. Our server seemed completely uninterested in being there. The food was something I would have been embarrassed to serve any guest at my home, much less something I would expect to be paid for. The restaurant was not filthy, but definitely not clean. We came in at a perfect time, they weren't busy at all. It took forever to finally get seated, nobody was working the doors. Once seated we were right under a a/c vent we ended up freezing, so thats a plus after a hot day! They had big fans going too which made it hard to hear anything. Not sure why they were running it was plenty cool inside. We ended seated next to the bar and the girl running it was also our waitress. She was running around like the place was packed but took forever for her to even take our order and bring us the bread. The dipping oil had no flavor, not even salt. My drink was suppose to be alcoholic but that was a no go either. We even knew when our dinner was ready because the back of the house had hit the bell several times, but she was too busy wiping out containers behind the bar, and continued doing other stuff while they repeated hitting the bell. It was when she noticed I was looking straight at her that maybe she should stop and go check. Once the dinners arrived, it was even BIGGER disappointment. There was hardly any sauce, absolutely no seasoning, or flavor for that matter. Even parts of the pasta edging was dried out, and hardly any chicken pieces in the bowtie pasta. One of the WORST, Flavorless meals I have ever had at a restaurant. Do NOT buy any cheeseburgers from this place. Let's be honest, just don't go.. And with there being so little people the waiter should have been on his A game. But, alas, everything took FOREVER. Drinks, apps, our check and again, a very long wait to cash out. They've fallen a long way over the years. Kitchen looked filthy, which we didn't see until later, the bar area where we were seated actually smelled bad as did the bathroom (like old mop water), and the whole place was dingy. My husband, a friend and I arrived during a particularly heavy rain storm. Upon entering the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess. There was a sign warning of a wet floor; the floor was literally standing in water and it was being squeegeed towards the front door. While walking to our table, a drop of cold water dripped on my arm. I didn't think anything of it until I again felt water drop on me. I looked up and found two places on the ceiling were cracked and dripping water. Despite the rain water, our food was excellently prepared and brought to us quickly by our server, Kinzie. Kinzie was very friendly and quick to bring refills before being asked; she also checked on us frequently. Thank you, Kinzie, for making our meal that much more enjoyable. read more

This is your typical Italian restaurant. I went in with a group of about seven people and they took our order pretty fast after we had waited for someone to come initially to our table for a few minutes. When the food finally came everyone's food was there except mine. The waitress said she put the order in, but it looked like she scrambled to the kitchen and was trying to figure out what was wrong. I sat there and waited while my group started to eat their meal. Finally they brought over my dish and it looked pretty good. When I tasted it, it was underwhelming to say the least. I felt like I needed to add salt and pepper to make my dish have any type of flavor. what I liked most about my meal was the giant loaves of bread you get to dip in the oil and seasoning plates. That bread was absolutely delicious. My friend tried the gluten-free bread and she said it was pretty good too. My Caesar salad was swimming and dressing and it was impossible to eat. If you like your salad like a soup, then the salad is for you. I took a few bites and could not eat anymore, which was a bummer because I wanted salad. I was very unhappy to see that they no longer have timballo on the menu. The only reason I arranged dinner there with our relatives was for that dish. Not only did the server not put the order in right but when I did get it it was cold and had soggy peppers and one, yes only one, piece of onion. The Tuscan 5 meat rigatoni was packed with delicious protein and smothered in the amazing spicy marinara. The eggplant and chicken Parmesans were cooked to perfection with a beautiful al dente. My server was April. My girlfriend & I went in there today for her birthday dinner. Blackberry margarita was absolutely delicious.. Food was very tasteful. Service was very dry and non personable. Very robotic. I tried to bring out personality or any type of charisma.. Nothing. Very basic. I seen a server before we left, Taylor I think she said her name was, and I told her next time we come in I want her. She in a matter of 20 seconds gave me more personality and insight in the menu than the server we had. She did suggestions to another table and we both were already in shock. I don't know if April had a bad day or she was just tired and wanted to chill or go home, but we really wanted better service since we rarely go out and it was her birthday. I did tell her it was her birthday ahead of time. I even had to ask the cook for napkins because our server disappeared for awhile half the time we were there. We asked for extra sauce and it seemed to be an issue as well. I will be back, but will call ahead of time to see if Taylor is there first. read more
